  • Robertson is fantastic. Glad to see this rare footage of Tab Hunter's protege.

  • Sould the Mickey Mouse Club House show really be teaching kid's how to crossdress. lol

  • Hard to tell if thats real ice or plastic ?Ronnie was living in the same area I was in Southern Calif.I bet many didn't know he was gay back then.esp.the fans.

  • i would love to see more of Ronnie Roberson. am an old friend . my daughter wants to see some of him skating... if anyone has any.would love to see it.

  • Wow! You almost never see Bob in Mouse garb! Usually the only adults that wore the costume were Jimmy and Roy.

  • Just to think...Ronnie Robertson was Tab Hunter's boyfriend. I absolutely loved this era...the REAL Golden AGE! Men were so HANDSOME and the skating was EXCITING!

  • The slapstick comedy skating routine was funny, and I think I would've liked it back in the '50s too. But there's no real "reason" for Willie to be dressed as a woman, except that maybe it makes his ungainliness more amusing. But today, if you put a man in drag on a mainstream kids' show, there would be complaints from right-wing groups.

  • If we're talking about Willie Kall (Not Krall as unfortunately mis-spelled here), the intention was never "drag" as might be performed in a Provincetown night spot, but pure silliness, as in English Music Hall tradition. For years, Willie understudied Clown Prince of The Ice Eric Waite, starred on his own and was eventually the Director of Maintenance for the Ice Capades Chalets around America. This is a Classic Ice Capades routine, and it's great to have it preserved here. Viva Vaudeville!

  • hahahha this can be kind of a baddd influence for kids dont u thank but then again kids back then were so innocent lookin lol

  • Wow.... I didn't think they would be liberal enough to show this on a KIDS show back then!

  • Hi! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! I, too, have badly wanted to see The Spin King skate!

  • it is so cool to see my old coach when he was in his prime. he sounds the same as he did 50 years later :)

  • Ronnie was the absolute best ever! For more informnation about him, check out Tab Hunter's autobiography. Thanks for preserving Ronnie "The Human Blur" forever!

  • Willie Kall was originally the understudy for "Clown Prince of The Ice" Eric Waite. Willie took over when Eric injured his leg, and became one of the most popular comic skaters The Ice Capades the Ice Capades ever saw. He worked fo Producer John H. Harris for many years, originally keeping beginning skaters upright at Harris' Pittsburgh Arena. He was amazing to watch as a child, for he could keep a deadpan face under any circumstance. It's great dto see his amazing legacy preserved here.

  • oh my.... Ronnie ?? i was waitning this for a long time

a real treasure for human tops, thanks for upload.

  • wow! he was amazing.
