Sure, there are others at Stockfish, but it will take some years until someone appears with such a dedicated and unique guitarstyle. One of his pupils, the professional singer/songwriter Biber Herrmann, is doing some of Chris-like signature grooves in open C-Tuning - man, that's what guitar is all about. Have a look at Biber Herrmanns "Have a little faith" on youtube
@surrealIdeal : Chris often used classical DADGAD (Damn Good Run, One Word, U Get What You Pay, Vigilante Man, Willin(you can do this tuning one tone up in E with a short capo as offered by Kyser - cool stuff!), other tunings are CGCGCE, CGDGGD (his special one) (Middle Man, Sweet Simone, Free Man, Big Time), DADF#AD (Lonesome Whistle), DGDGBD (Walking Blues) - if you buy physical CDs, you'll find the tunings in the booklets. Each CD is worth it ! Have fun and stay in tune ;-)
Beautifull singer songwriter and he makes beautifull lyrics. Unfortunally he's not with us today... But for last, Stockfish Record gives us more great guitar players who makes sweet songs. Really would recommend Stockfish Records to all who's searching this kind of guitar play
This is a song called "Thank you" of off Chris' album is called "Roadhouses and Automobiles" and should be available at Stockfisch Records let me know if they dont have it or give you grief
I have all the disks in the Chris Jones! I love your music! Fan that I am! Direct from Brazil
