Maybe he doesn't feel like investing the time and money for a real guitar. Real guitar+proper equipment=$500 at least. This game costs 80 (maybe 250 with the PS2). Real guitar= a few months/ years of playing (depending on how well you learn it) to play this song. The game takes a few weeks/months.
