  • The Second Amendment doesn't give us the right to bear arms. It implies that the right exists, given by God the creator whom I propose at the time was not Allah although they are one in the same. It is given by God using capitol letters in the English language and is understood to be the God of Abraham. God is not implied He is recognized plainly. If the question is Christian, Catholic or Paganism. Why didn't they use the word gods? Mono Theism is the answer.

  • @1angrywhite It would seem that's why it's worded so vaguely, it can readily fit a huge number of beliefs including monotheistic branches of Paganism, Shamanism, the Abrahamic religions (all of them), many branches of Hinduism and Buddhism...well, I'd run out of characters if I go on, there's literally hundreds I could name. It would also be fallacious to presume Deism equals the Abrahamic God, as was mentioned here Deists have a much more vague, almost "Pantheist" or "Panentheist" view of God.

  • @ZarathustrasCrown Jefferson wrote the Declaration and may have chosen the word "Creator" in "code". Christian signers of the four documents firstly the Mayflower compact never for a moment thought of God not being the creator. Follow Jeffs pocketbook. He gave funds to Christianity, educated his family in it and was a registered Anglican and attended. We don't have a language either according to the documents however that is another ridiculous conversation. Oversight maybe? I don't care.

  • Well made video.

  • Good video. I am really sick of the USA being called Judeo Christian even though I was raised Jewish. I am a Libertarian & believe we are a FREE nation completely separated from Judaism & Christianity or at least we SHOULD be. YES, we were founded by Puritans who were Neo-Christians, but, as you point out, that was then & once The Constitution & Bill Of Rights were ratified they became the law of the land. It disgusts me that you have to "believe in God" to even be elected in this country. Sad.

  • i say that technically we are not a christian nation. in a written sense that is.we have showed time and time again that we are majorly a christian nation as in the majority of our people are christian or believe in a Judea-christian god though i personally and a christian thus my user name(lol) but i will say we are generally populated by Christians so in one sense we are a christian nation.

  • @jesusdude456 I can concede to that.Calling it a "Christian nation" based on majority, then those numbers don't lie. It would be accurate to say"United States is mostly a nation of Christians." I don't aim to insult Christians, even I make the occasional n loose reference to a Higher Power.(I have another video where I mention it in a best man speech)I only make the argument that the US cannot represent itself in domestic and foreign policy as a Christian nation. Thanks for the feedback.

  • @thorthistle03 Or give more rights to Christians over non-Christians which they already have in some cases.

  • @jesusdude456 Uh, by that reasoning then this is a Protestant nation. Protestants make up over 51% of the US population. Roman Catholics account for 24%. Christians make up less than 2% of the total US population. Unfortunately, your reasoning is pure bs. Turkey is over 95% Muslim and yet they are still a secular nation. Sweden is 87% Lutheran and yet they are still a secular nation. Sticking feathers up your ass does not make you a chicken.

  • @captwasabi I like you post but love your last line.....too funny.

  • @MrJeffuryca Sometimes you gotta colorize it for them to get it.

  • @captwasabi Oh, I know. I am the King of colorization as you put it. Gets me in trouble most of the time. EXAMPLE: Last night I compared Elijah Wood, in reference to his Rings roll, as a bug eyed Marty Feldman look a like and called the movie Bored of the Rings which brought an immediate and predictable backlash from my female friends. LOL

    Peace

  • When is your project due and in what grade level are you? Barton did state the names of the 27 (24 or 28, as he changes it) founders with seminary degrees somewhere, but some of his videos have been taken down. He has written several books, but I don't know if he has cited the 27 in any of them.

Chris Rodda brings that up here /watch?v=YYLYSAIZjx8

She also wrote a book entitled ''Liars for Jesus'' and has a video on youtube entitled''David Barton Lies About Chris Rodda''.

    Good work BTW.

  • @jfsfrnd It's for a college course, project isn't due for over a week yet; just wanted to get as much online time as possible. I've heard of Rodda, but haven't read the book. I'll put it on my "leisure time" list - Thanks for the recommendation.

My research wasn't as thorough as it should have been, though. Please make any supporting or counter-points you see fit... and of course, thanks for taking the time to comment.

  • @thorthistle03 What is the point of the video? What are you trying to portray? Are you refuting the idea that the United States is a Christian Nation?

I believe that in their youth, the founders probably had more Christian members but as they grew older they became stronger Deists. Remember the average age of the founders at the signings was mid 30's.

Barton is a complete study in himself.

  • Very well done. Unfortunately it's completely fact based and logically constructed which means fuck-all to theists. These are the folks who believe in farts on the wind.

  • @captwasabi Your compliments are original, colorful, and creative in a peculiar way. I appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time.

  • Well done!
