Because she's not a vaulter! She can qualify to do any of the events except for vault

Omg! I love Michael Phelps too! LOL! He is definitely my favorite singer but I don't think there is any doubt he isn't! He pretty much said though like even while watching the olympics and the interviews at the end he was continuing. Like swimming you can do for a nice amount of time and with him being AMAZING, I think he will be around for a while :)

man I wish I would have stayed in gymnastics! She was in compulsories the same time I was ahah (she had the same routines). Also, I think WOGA has a bunch of elites, I can think of Rebecca Bross and Christa (sp?) Tanella off the top of my head. I don't think Christa is on the national team though.

She has he thumbs reverse when she is in handstand on top of the bar to help her balance in the piruettes, but if you look closely she moves her thumbs before she actually does the giant skill. I think most top gymnasts do the same.
