  • i put that organ played the continuo bass in the exam. is this correct?

  • @trisnoon no. harpsichord and cello

  • @MrRobh12 are you sure? :)

  • @YouHoldMeD0wn He's correct, it was later when the organ was put in, because Mozart did an arrangement when he added clarinets, french horns, flutes and trombones as well as an organ :) xx

  • @YouHoldMeD0wn 100% positive

  • BEST VERSION EVER

  • @mrsammyboy Shut the fuck up and revise you homo, who asked you anyway dick

  • As far as GCSE music songs go I like this one xD

  • @pym13579 Gay boy

  • I don't hate GCSE music. I can't really understand what you expected to be doing if you regret taking it. I mean come on, its only Grade 5 theory equivalent? Im sure I could have done it 5 years ago when I got a distinction in my grade 8 theory, grade 8 flute and grade 8 harp. Good luck though

  • @joprix27 I just cant remember what fact goes with what piece... my music teacher asked me how the wors 'revealed' were treated and i couldnt think so i just said 'fairly well i guess'... I got a B in my mock. Just :'S

  • @MRinvisible2everyone I Am The Same xD

  • cacking my keks for tuesday D:

  • I feel kinda sorry for the guy who put this up, cause most of the views are gonna be from GCSE students who'll forget it completely after the exam :D

  • Dreading this exam next Tuesday :'(

  • @jadean95 We all are bro, we all are...

  • Lol guys when I took the mock back in December I got an E and when I took it in April I got a D but I realised the whole exam is just based on a few facts. Learn them from bbc bitesize. From then on I have been passing.

  • Its kinda slow.

  • I swear its not meant to be this slow...

  • Wish i didn't take GCSE music now its shit

  • exam next monday, FML,

  • @BadOwlOwl monday? i have mind on tuesay lol!

  • @BadOwlOwl monday? i have mind on tuesday lol!

  • wait, i'm having this test on friday as well. are thre 5 key changes?

    A,E,B,E,A major?

  • It really helps if u listen to the track over and over, especially when the exam is this close.

  • Got my Gcse mock for this tomorrow :S

  • omgomgomg freaking out i know nothing!

  • Anyone take music just cause they thought would be playing instruments and making their own music?

  • Ack, 3\4 weeks till the music exam guys!!!!

  • @dhyanarm12 AHHHHHH!!!!!

  • 16 days till my mock... :(

  • Thumbs up if your looking forward to 17th of May

    JOKES!

  • @sccarter1234. The only way i can make the exam sound good is the fact we get to listen to a form of music in the exam :L

  • Can anyone give me any advice on how to revise all 12 pieces?? I really love music but now I'm wishing to God I didn't take it :'(

  • @Mariamariaandmaria We can only get one kind of essay question so it should be an easy 10 marks.

Revising the essay question also helps you revise the questions in Section A.

The essay question will just ask you, for example, "Comment on Moby's use of the following techniques in "Why does my heart feel so bad." The techniques will be, Melody, Structure and Texture, Harmony and Tonality, Instrumentation/Technology, Rhythm Tempo and Metre and Dynamics.

  • @sccarter1234 Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I'll try it :)

  • @Mariamariaandmaria Just revise each of the techniques for each 12 set works, in the form of poster, essay question. Whatever suits you personally.

Hell it helps for me, I hope it works for you. Good luck. And by the way i wish i didn't take fucking music too!!

  • @sccarter1234 Thank you for again:) Do you know where I could find essay questions?

  • @Mariamariaandmaria Ummm not sure. Our teacher just gives us them think he gets them from the specimen. Not sure though Sorry

  • We dont have mocks...its just a straight exam on the 17th of may...:) yay..time!

  • Right I need to down load this for GCSE music .... damn I am gunna fail this GCSE I got like 12 out of 70 for my mock O_o

  • @x3abzkebabzx3 ZOMG SAME!

  • cor 'andel weren't half fat!

  • Wow this is great....damnn!!!!

  • YEAH! GCSE Music FTW..I'm gonna fail haha

  • Not a bad performance, but a bit slow and ponderous. Listen to this all the way through and then jump back to the beginning and tell me whether you think this has sped up during the performance.

  • gcse music exam tomorrow D:

  • @babiigailxx you had it a month ago?!

I've got it in two months. :|

  • @dacombedevil SAME! :D

  • yay for the imitation, the 3/4 time signature, the ending plagal cadence, terraced dynamics, sequences, melody passed between the vocal groups and the melisma. Goddamnit- this is what music GCSE has done to me!

  • @smellyspanna haha same

  • edexcel gcse - as if my compostion is based on the this! :|

  • @BalletBoo95 hahahahahahah fucking edexcel...

  • What are you guys talking about? This version is so perfect. If it was any faster then the basso continuo would not be felt like it should. I sang bass for the Sinclair Chorale this past quarter.

  • I loooooooooooooooooove singing this song in a nice big choir! The bass part is awesome!

  • @LukeyandMatt gd luck

  • lol i bet everyone is here coz of the stupid GCSE we have to do on this!!!

  • thumbs up if you're here coz of GCSE ?

  • Sung a little too slowly for my tastes.

  • @mermew Hell yes! Someone who agrees. I reckon it should be almost twice as fast as this.

  • im playing this for my christmas concert!!

  • @LukeyandMatt aaa dont worry about it, its pretty easy! for the section B the two pieces you can pick are preripitie and moby why does my heart feel so bad and the A section is easy xD good luck

  • The London Philharmonic is the best symphony orchestra in the world. Bernard Haitink's legacy is strong and their recordings are always the truest, yet this one seems a little slower than others, the music is missing some of its dynamic rhythm here. I'll just listen to one of their CD's instead.

  • This is the sort of musics we'll be singing in Heaven!!!

  • thumbs up for the music GCSE edexcel course

  • Gorgeous! Splendid

  • Haha i'm doing this song for music GCSE too :') and like 11 other works. Fuckk knows how i'm going to be able to remember everything about them -.-

  • c'mon guys we can do it !! lol.. its just remembering all the dates, and timings and key facts!!! AHHH its hard.

  • haha

    my mocks on Fridayy!!

hoping that listening to this will helpp!!

wishing i didnt take GCSE musicc..

  • @Sizzleformanutd10 Me too.

    :L Good Luck

  • @Sizzleformanutd10 gd luck..my mock is on monday..hopefully if the snow keeps up :)

  • @Sizzleformanutd10 and me -.-, was the mock easy?

  • shit mock music in 2 weeks :'/

  • Ive studied all the GCSE course now and im doing mocs in 2 weeks. my fav is moby but this isnt to boring. all the african music is pretty boring tbh.

  • @classgiantbrass I agree with all of that! Mocks in 2 weeks? I should really get revising!

  • too slow

  • a very old and obsolete performance too slow, romantic style and without period instruments; it must be recorded 40 years ago when baroque music was performed as if it would have been composed by Rossini or Donizetti

  • my class is doing the kid version of Handels Messiah and i have all these songs memorized

  • ;_; so beautiful!

  • Same here I'm doing GCSE. This is an okay set piece. I've done A01,A03,A04 so far. Favourite is Grace by Jeff Buckley. How is A02?
