In my opinion Frida is the Greatest Female artist-Muralist whatever you wanna call it.I personaly dont know of any other Famous Female artist.Frida is a Icon not only to Mexicans & Mexican-Americans also latinos in general and the entire art world.
Hey everyone. I am doing a presentation on Frida Kahlo. I really like the music in the beginning of this video. Does anyone know where to find this music or what the song is called? Or any other similar music? Please help! Thanks so much! :)
I have been to her home way befor the movie was made. If you ever get a chance ,you must see yourself. They used her home for the movie. Everything you see in the movie was filmed in the location. I had to see the movie to understand her..love Mexico. I have pictures on facebook (David Mitchell) of Ponchatoula Louisiana. Have just the door way and other spots.....
Can anyone tell me what is the monotonous drum beat music called at the beginning of the documentary? I would appreciate if I could at least find some simmilar hypnotic music.
@naythechocolatehead mmmm i dont think she did, her life was full of excitment. she traveled the world and i mean it must have been great cuz shes famous even today, so if i were you id do a lil reaserch first or just keep to myself all these unethical comments! =]
@anna63rubio I did do research, after she got aids she neglected the study of medicine to begin a painting career! Her mother had a special easel made for her so she could paint in bed upside down! Then later on, she was found to be lying about the adventures she had. She never worked at the Vatican NOR, invented the bicycle!
I like the video as is (except for maybe the wrong info). I think it's important to understand Frida's culture in order to understand HER. The expectations in a Mexican society affected her life deeply, like the importance of having children for example.
The biography is a bit wrong. Frida was born in 1907, not 1910. She said that she was born in 1910, during the Mexican revolution, but it is false information.
It seems so strange to me that those who are considered to be whole, as in mind, physicality, and economicaly; seem to be with out real vision. Those who are born the oposite of what is considered the normal. Are the ones who have such talent into vision, and realities that the world enjoy's so much. So, who is handicaped? Us or Them? I feel the so clled normal population, are the ones who are handicaped. Think about it! The great inspierers of this world have all been considered diffrent!
gpe41 Vanity is small and something useless.... is the grandiour they (Frida and Diego)created.... but of course.... your XXI idiotic beauty models prevails... your comments are worthless and perhaps.. less intelectual than to appreciate this informative and educational video..such as this.
It isn't true that her father was Jewish. She maintained throughout her life that he was of Hungarian Jewish ancestry, but according to Wikipedia, one set of researchers have established that his parents were German Lutherans.
Thank you so much for teaching your children about history and art, artists. Your children will surely grow up to be advanced adults of creativity and knowledge. I admire Mothers like you.
Salma Hayek was excellent in the movie "Frida" thats why I took a liking to wondering what the "real" Frida was all about.

Frida Kahlo was actually born in 1907. She just like to claim that she was born in 1910 at the beginning of the Mexican revolution,

Uni-brows are beautiful. If you have one, don't be ashamed or insecure. You have a great Role-Model of security to be inspired by.

What a face she had. Like no other. In fact, Salma Hayek, despite her best dramatic intentions, looks RIDICULOUS trying to emulate her.

She paints both eyes the same size even if they're looking at an angle, does she do that on purpose?
