They didn't fill the cig properly or the battery was flat - there was virtually no vapour. Go take a look at some of the e cig reviews on Utube to see how well they work when the properly used I have a screwdriver typ ecig and the damn thing can near blow your head off with a few puffs (in a good way)

There are certain types of e-Cigs that look, feel and taste exactly like regular cigarettes (mainly the ones that are actually designed to look like em, so it throws that first reviewer's opinions out of the question).
The last guy to try the e-cig on this video only coughed because he warmed up the atomizer by his next drag, the others only took one drag so did not get the full hit. I am giving up smoking in the nest week and going onto these e-cigs.

It takes a little while to get used to, I didn't actually quit analogs (real cigs) for about 2 months while I adapted to my e cig..the market is still in its infancy and newer/better ones are being created every day, the first attempt was busto..2nd better/3rd I quit smoking real cigs now and I'm never looking back. If you give it your all, you'll love the benefits of being able to breath, smell, etc... and still being able to smoke...at least the next best thing to smoking.
BS! You can't tell after one or two puffs. They're a bit different but you get used to them pretty fast. There are different types, flavors and strengths of "juice." I didn't smoke menthol cigs but I prefer the menthol ecigs. After smoking for 30+ years, I've gone over two days w/o a regular cigarette and I didn't even try to quit. I just like the ecig better, now. Next I'll try lower nicotine. I quit smoking without quitting smoking! (And I'd tried everything.)

yeah, pretty stupid looking back on it. I was very enthusiastic to say the least. I had just bought the thing and it does "rock" when a new cartridge has been screwed on. However the original cartridge lasted about 100 drags. They introduced a thing called a cartimizer and it works for two days with more smoke. Much better. Now they've been bought out or something and the local shops stopped selling them. Gotta order on line now. But it does work well. Can smoke anywhere if I choose.

No prob. A lot of the flavors don't taste all that great most of the time and it isn't something I recommend people to start if they don't smoke cigarettes. It comes close enough to smoking a real cigarette for people to mimic their habit and work their way down to zero nicotine.
I've had one for a few weeks now and I've found that I vape less than I smoked. Plus, I've already switched to lower nicotine and I don't really notice a difference. Cross your fingers for me, I think this works.

As for the people who have been vaping for years ? there have not been enough studies done on the E cig to confirm its, we wouldn't know what the few people who have been vaping for years think as unless we knew all of them.
It's up to the parents to instill morals and values into their children... If they failed to do that and take the time to properly educate their children, that sounds like their fault and is not as well as should not the government's job.
As for the lack of studies, I agree. We don't have a lot of studies yet, but the studies that have been done show them to be a lot safer than tabacco cigarettes.
That's enough reason to not ban them as many products that we use regularly have had less studies before being allowed. The only reason to ban them at this point would be to line government officials and tabacco companies pockets even further.
The "what about the children" mentality has always been used more for political gain then for the actual safety of the people.
With banning I meant the sale of a product that is used by many and addictive, if smoking standard cigerettes wasn't addictive very few people would buy them on the black market if banned.. As for the E cig I am not suggesting they ban them, I am suggesting they sell it as a stop smoking agent and take the glamour out of it so it is less attractive to kids & non smokers and do some proper studies before claiming its safe like they failed to do with real cigs until much later.

Yes parents should talk to their kids about these things etc but in many situations that is not enough and many parents are hopeless anyway or the kids think there parents know nothing about the 21st century and just spoiling their fun which is a common belief and "its up to parents to instill morals and values into their children" is like saying its not our fault if kids are abused by there parents so if they are abused lets turn a blind eye and not have any consequences for the parents.
That's not the same at all. Kids won't always listen to their parents, but at least they'd turn out better if parents were more responsible. I'm not saying my parents were all that great, but we kept an open dialogue and they taught me how to think for myself.
Sometimes, actions speak louder than words. Most people end up more like their parents then they realize, regardless of outside factors like peer pressure.
There were studies done on Propylene Glycol that showed it prevented respiratory problems. The people that have been vaping for years haven't mentioned anything like a higher tendency to get pneumonia.

It takes a little while to get used to, I didn't actually quit analogs (real cigs) for about 2 months while I adapted to my e cig..the market is still in its infancy and newer/better ones are being created every day, the first attempt was busto..2nd better/3rd I quit smoking real cigs now and I'm never looking back. If you give it your all, you'll love the benefits of being able to breath, smell, etc... and still being able to smoke...at least the next best thing to smoking.

BS! You can't tell after one or two puffs. They're a bit different but you get used to them pretty fast. There are different types, flavors and strengths of "juice." I didn't smoke menthol cigs but I prefer the menthol ecigs. After smoking for 30+ years, I've gone over two days w/o a regular cigarette and I didn't even try to quit. I just like the ecig better, now. Next I'll try lower nicotine. I quit smoking without quitting smoking! (And I'd tried everything.)

Firstly the model used in this report isn't one of the better ones. Secondly as a 10 year smoker i recently made the change to e-cigs. I haven't looked back. I feel more healthy, more energetic etc...
To all beginners, i recommend the Titan 510 model. You can get it at "totally wicked" website. After smoking it for a while (vaping is the term) you'll wonder why you ever smoked in the first place.

yeah, pretty stupid looking back on it. I was very enthusiastic to say the least. I had just bought the thing and it does "rock" when a new cartridge has been screwed on. However the original cartridge lasted about 100 drags. They introduced a thing called a cartimizer and it works for two days with more smoke. Much better. Now they've been bought out or something and the local shops stopped selling them. Gotta order on line now. But it does work well. Can smoke anywhere if I choose.

Electronic Cigarettes are the best. I was a 2 pack a day smoker and have not smoked a real cigarette in 6 months. I have found a supplier that has great customer service and quick shipments. I've tried everything else and found the one I have now is as good as they get.

No prob. A lot of the flavors don't taste all that great most of the time and it isn't something I recommend people to start if they don't smoke cigarettes. It comes close enough to smoking a real cigarette for people to mimic their habit and work their way down to zero nicotine.
I've had one for a few weeks now and I've found that I vape less than I smoked. Plus, I've already switched to lower nicotine and I don't really notice a difference. Cross your fingers for me, I think this works.

the goverment here in the US wants to regulate them, undertandable, but that will likely put these on the top shelf and raise the price even higher.
it's a double edged sword as I've read comments elsewhere like "that looks cool, I don't smoke but it makes me wish I did" so, maybe these will stay in production and made available but I can't see them lasting very long without government intervention. I'd like to see the price on these halved if it really is meant to help people quit smoking.

The newer version of these are being promoted to kids and young non smokers, e.g. chocholate and strawberry flavours etc and having a hot girls smoking glamorously in the ads. They are not advertised as a stop smoking agent like previous products and you are right, kids wont buy these, they will buy real ones instead as these will continue to make smoking cool and fashionable for the next getneration like the movies do.

Just because something is flavored doesn't mean it's being marketed to kids. Flavored liquor marketing isn't intended as a way to get kids to drink alcohol, but it's an unintended side effect.
I don't want kids smoking, but if they're going to eventually be stupid like I was and start smoking, I'd rather it be a non-nicotine e-cig vapor. Easier to quit

It's up to the parents to instill morals and values into their children... If they failed to do that and take the time to properly educate their children, that sounds like their fault and is not as well as should not the government's job.
As for the lack of studies, I agree. We don't have a lot of studies yet, but the studies that have been done show them to be a lot safer than tabacco cigarettes.

With banning I meant the sale of a product that is used by many and addictive, if smoking standard cigerettes wasn't addictive very few people would buy them on the black market if banned.. As for the E cig I am not suggesting they ban them, I am suggesting they sell it as a stop smoking agent and take the glamour out of it so it is less attractive to kids & non smokers and do some proper studies before claiming its safe like they failed to do with real cigs until much later.

Ahh... In that case, I agree with you 100%. It shouldn't be glamorized. It's for people like me trying to find an alternative to the non-working smoking cessation crap the same companies that sell the cancer sticks sell to keep us from quitting successfully.
Just don't take away my Cherry or Mint flavors. They make the wannabe tobacco flavors more tolerable for someone fighting his addiction to real cigs.

Yes parents should talk to their kids about these things etc but in many situations that is not enough and many parents are hopeless anyway or the kids think there parents know nothing about the 21st century and just spoiling their fun which is a common belief and "its up to parents to instill morals and values into their children" is like saying its not our fault if kids are abused by there parents so if they are abused lets turn a blind eye and not have any consequences for the parents.

That's not the same at all. Kids won't always listen to their parents, but at least they'd turn out better if parents were more responsible. I'm not saying my parents were all that great, but we kept an open dialogue and they taught me how to think for myself.
Sometimes, actions speak louder than words. Most people end up more like their parents then they realize, regardless of outside factors like peer pressure.

I wonder if prolonged use would cause Nuemonia? Because of the water vapor in your lungs? Would it build up like the tar from a real cig?

There were studies done on Propylene Glycol that showed it prevented respiratory problems. The people that have been vaping for years haven't mentioned anything like a higher tendency to get pneumonia.
Since I started with this E-Cig, I've been hacking up all the tar that's built up over the years, so I guess we'll see...

It's just a slang term for cigarettes in the UK. The word "fag" referring to homosexuals originated in the US I believe. It's the same thing as how "queer" usually means "odd" in Britain
