  • I don't know if this helps, but... Ho, Ho, Ho.

  • You space bitch!

  • Seriously, though. This is a great song.

    God, I love Pac-man.

  • Put your helmet on, we'll be reaching speeds of three!

  • rolled fizzle-beef

  • cant figure out why, but this song puts me in the mood for fried chicken from the grocery store...

  • Where do I go to get the song? I've been searching the myspace page for 20 minutes, and I STILL can't find anything! Am I just somehow missing it?! I've been looking for this song for THREE YEARS!

  • @BethanyHarbaugh - I've got an updated URL in the video description where it can be downloaded.

  • @RadialSkid THANK-YOU!!!!! You're the BEST!!! =D Merry Christmas!

  • EVERYBODY! SOMEDAY LOVE WILL FIND YOU!

  • We *don't* need more Kalgan.

  • he knows enough!

  • I'm staying in my parents' basement til I get a job!

  • Don't pay the Ferryman! Don't even fix a price!

  • Great work, you blew up the septtic tank. Leah, you're getiing a lump of coal.

  • Everybody: Someday love will find you!

  • I'll admit, I also like this song. The movie, not so much, unless it's being mstied. It's cool to hear from Steven McClintock too. Thanks for posting.

  • 2:27 RAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW rolled fizzle beef

  • "you know it woulda continued to be the 70's if not for you"

  • Grizzle Mcthorn Body

  • Get me my warrior mumu.

  • I don't care what anyone says I love this song

  • I wear my sunglasses at night...

  • That movie WAS horrible! But it's hella funny in MST3K! And this song is cool!

  • 2:17= Come on skull, pop out of my face.

    She's presenting like a Mandrill.

  • "She a Maniac,maniac on the flooooor!"

"Don't pay the ferrymen. Don't even fix a price!"

This is one my very favourite MST3K episodes, without a doubt. Mike and the Bots were on the top their game here delivering one golden riff after another.

  • Music rejected by the band Survivor.

  • @GeneralOlde ...thanks God...I hated Survivor.

  • "Someday, love will find you!"

  • Music rocks!

  • Ok something occurred to me.... Not only this music kicks ass but.....

The plot of the movie really isn't bad at all. Infact POTENTIALLY this movie could have been GREAT!

But the producer either took the audience for morons or more likely just didn't take this movie seriously.

  • The basic premise *could* have made for an interesting sci-fi action story.

Of course, there were still a few holes. What was the purpose of the Ballerians again? Where did the "space pirates" come from if their ship is the only colony ship (assuming the pirates aren't aliens)?

  • Well yeah the Ballerians had no purpose what so ever in the movie.

I guess the producer's idea is that there may be an "only colony ship" but there are still other humans or "outsiders".

I was suspicious that the pirate ships looked like the Cylon ships but when I heard there was Battlestar Gallatica stock footage, brought my suspicion to rest.

  • Exactly. A big part of good sci-fi is establishing a universe that makes sense within the context of the story. Space Mutiny completely fails in that regard. Granted, the recycled special effects, unconvincing sets, bad acting, and continuity errors would still have dragged it down.

  • Maybe, like the animator in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the writer died while writing the script before he could reveal the purpose of the Ballerians. The producer just said screw it. Let's get this movie done before Lethal Weapon 2 is released, the movie was filmed in South Africa.

Commander Janson= I have a colony of people living in my beard.

    Stay together cheeks.

  • @RadialSkid and where did Crud Bonemeal come from, he and the Prof he was bringing with him didn't seem to be from the ship

  • @Eceoes ...the movie was done on about 100K and in about a week....so you get what you get. ...and pay for.

  • Oh don't get me wrong, I still think the movie was still horrible.

At least it was entertaining on a grade C level.

  • It is the worst! C is being kind.

  • 2:25 and 2:55. Is that Dave's O face?? XD

    Bryon

  • Someday, love will find you.

  • It's stasticly proven that 78% of white guys can sing like this...nobody else wants to.

  • It would've continued to be the 70's if it weren't for Mike!

  • 1:43 And the best man they could come up with was FUZZY SKINNER?

  • Put your helmets on, we'll be reaching speeds of THREE!!

C'mon, we need both horsepower on this!!

  • Ha ha ha ha! Hit the siren! (Circus music.)

    She's prenting like a mandrill.

  • LMAO!!!!

    Love that line.

But come on here, this is fucking gold.

  • ooch!

  • I'm INSANE!!!

    Ahh, Lieutenant Waitress.

Yup, she's a graduate of MIT but she still has to serve drinks to men.

  • This song makes the movie sound cool. Then I remember I've already seen the movie... lol

  • Good song. Bad movie.

  • I saw that before I read your info. Please don't flame me, I'm an 80s enthusiast just like you *ducks*

  • Relax, you're among friends. I love 80's music too.

  • WOW! Where did you find this?

  • It's such a quintessentially 80s piece of music.

  • And our brave hero ROASTS the disabled man!

  • South Africa's national anthem!

  • Thick McRunfast.

  • smoke man muscle

  • Bulk Vanderhuge

  • Big McLargeHuge

  • He knows enough...

  • Amazingly good song for an amazingly terrible movie.

I especially love how they take basic apple computers and try to make them look "futuristic" by mounting them on walls. Sorry guys, but that just doesn't work.

  • Hi, co writer of Edge of A Dream here...yes...imagine US as we try to write something cool for a film like this. It was a very funny experience. Looking back...I had a ball.

  • bad movie, good song

  • :29 "Your getting a lump of Coal"

  • Thanks for putting this up...my daughter showed it to me. I am the singer and songwriter.

Very 80's isnt it? Ha...thanks again

  • Thanks for writing/performing it.

I have a certain affinity for both '80s pop and obscure/independent music, so this song has a natural place in my collection. Great job on it, and best to you.

  • I want to thank you so much for managing Shiny Toy Guns. I love them, especially their cover Major Tom.

  • Thanks for the comment. I am no longer managing STG though...but I DO handle all of their songs for TV commercials and shows etc. I love the band...my co writer on Edge of A Dream, Tim James, also co wrote a recent STG song played on Gossip Girls called Season Of Love...cool song. Check it out

  • @headway37 Are you really the singer & songwriter Steve McClintock? If that's the case, I have to say I enjoy this song. Hate the movie (which I saw on Mystery Science Theater 3000), but love the song. I'm a sucker for 80s pop/rock music, especially if it's obscure. For that, I thank you for writing & performing.

By the way, where on your Myspace page can you get songs like this? Did you take it off or something? If you can, let me know. Thanks!

  • @maniacaldude Hi...yes. I am singing the son and wrote it. I THINK it is on our McJames Music Inc myspace. I will double check though. Oh the film was horrible...but hey...I needed the work and would do it again...as bad as it is, lots of good has come out of it with the music.

    Thaks for getting in touch

  • @headway37 McJames Music? I never knew you had a second account. I was searching your "Steven McClintock" account.

As bad as the movie was, it was absolutely hilarious when it was riffed on Mystery Science Theater 3000. When this played over the credits, the character Tom Servo started singing lyrics of other 80s songs, like Michael Sembello's Maniac.

Like I said, I love 80s music & wish today's music could sound like it. I'm just old-fashioned, I guess...

  • @maniacaldude I am with you...the last two bands I worked on are an 80's sound to me. Check out White Apple Tree...I just produced the new CD...

    S

  • @headway37 I checked out White Apple Tree & they did kinda have that 80s vibe to it. Even then, it still sounded a bit more like today's music, but that's just me.

Did you check & see if that song was on McJames Music? How about some of your other soundtrack work like the stuff for The Jetsons Movie?

  • @maniacaldude I dont have it anywhere really...just you tube. We dont own the recordings, MCA does...so we can just sell it.

  • @headway37 What about "Edge Of A Dream"? I checked both your Myspace pages & couldn't find it there.

Also, I looked you up on IMDb & noticed you've done some other soundtrack work, for films I've never heard of like "Death Chase", "Rapid Fire" & "Operation Warzone" which I presume are also low budget, Z-Grade stinkers. Is this true?

  • This is great! Thanks so much for the upload.

  • first time i have heard this. Love it. going straight into the top of my favourite 80s songs

  • Awesome...glad you like it. Still one of my favorite co writes ever.

  • I hope you have seen and enjoyed the MST3K episode with the film. Personally I thought they were a bit harsh on the song.

  • only three minutes and twenty eight seconds long? I thought there was more than that. Still a rockin' 80's song. (You and your 80s. If it wasn't foryou, the 70's would've lasted longer-Crow and Tom Servo)

  • The original track is like three minutes and fourty something seconds....but most of what I cut out is just the fade out at the end.

  • SHE'S A MANIAC! MANIAC!
