If you really want to get the 2jzgte dropped in there that's your choice. In my opinion I'd just keep it like this and save up the money for an mk4 supra... unless you're absolutely in love with the mk3 which is cool. Just letting you know an engine swap isn't a piece of cake, good luck.
btw to shave off near 600lbs i removed the spare tire, tool kit, put a light weight battery, removed the stereo(speakers too), rear seats, airbags, power locks, power windows, bumper beams, all interior carpet and trim, acid dipped the chassis, replaced seat. installed light weight racing wheels. Might not seem to be that much. but it was. took near 3 days to do it. im talkin 40-50 hours.
Wow man that's some serious work, I'm impressed. Got any good kill stories? Come on man I know you've been challenged by some ricers thinking your mk3 is an easy kill...
That is a pretty impressive kill, now do a turbo 370z kill... just gotta find one first! I'm only aware of the GTM kit, GReddy is still working on theirs.
Well maybe he had his boost low? Idk, probably at 6 or 8 psi for a daily driver. Nice kill though. I don't think I'll be boosting my 370 for a long time.
unfortunately I totaled my car due to a truck driver falling asleep at the wheel.
I was driving through a tunnel with a truck beside me, acting like i would any other day when he just starts coming into my lane, i instantly thought "FLOOR IT" get me the fuck outa here! i now regret doing that. i almost got in front of him when he clipped the right rear fender and spun me out into the tunnel wall. Me and my friends were rushed to a near by hospital via helicopter. i wanted to make a vid about it
what trans did you use? the v16? and how hard was it to convert cause i would kinda like to have a 6th gear on the highway cause im almost always building boost cause of the load on the motor
I used the Toyota OEM V160 Getrag 6 speed tranny. The conversion wasnt that tough, few friends helped me ;). The COST is where it hit me. Costed near $6,000 for everything in the end. (including the swap). x_X
comment me, tell me what i need. its completely stock now. throwing in a 2jz when summer comes around.

Scarified2012 2 years ago

Pimpin199122 2 years ago
Oh okay cool, wow 2900 lbs, what did you do to shave off 500 lbs?!
Scarified2012 2 years ago
Er sorry my math brain is dead, 600 lbs lol
Scarified2012 2 years ago
Sorry to double post, I meant 600 lbs, i really can't count today... Oh I didn't realize the MK3s weighed as much as the MK4s

Sorry for now reply m8.
For a kill story.. um. the only impressive kill ive got was against a 350z turbo
we did the race from a digg.
he stayed with me till i hit 3rd (75mph), after that I kept goin till around 140. I believe he was gettin on it till i let off.
excuses he said:
I was sprayin
he had boost leak
"my car runs bad in humidity"
which is total bullshit.
PS over the past 2 weeks ive been putting in my gt35r turbo.
