Since the weapons have a connection to Iran the US can blame the Iranians and build their pretext to bomb. The Saudis do not buy all their weapons from the US. The US buys weapons from other countries also. You need to read some history and open your mind a bit and see how folks manipulate and accomplish things internationally.
