  • Anyone recognise the narrators voice from american psycho? He played Batemans lawyer Carnes.

  • I bet had the President been on this flight, all inequities would have never existed!!!!

  • not true....ndb's are the oldest

  • OHHH look at all these armchair experts.

  • @nzecureuil2 Indeed... all these nuggets sitting there wearing there headsets polishing their junior wings.

  • GPS are dangerious to rely on. I know people in both aviation and trucking. If you solely rely on GPS you could get yourself in big trouble.

  • does GPS even display mountains?

  • @sebielcanchero Modern GPS systems do. It all depends on the make and model.

  • @Title27GT The nicer one do. BUT you are trained as a pilot not to blindly trust them. more like a backup deal just in case. They should have had a IR system. works better than anything else.

  • PS. There is NO substitute for knowing where you are in the sky and respecting the visual minimums.

  • Back then GPS wasn't worldwide. And even today it is NOT idiot proof. NOR is it weather proof.

  • all those why questions.. there is only one answer money , someone else is getting a big chunk and everyone else is paying for it with paycut..!

  • c that is why our units suck, cheap for something that has high ranking officers and vip

  • I don't get it. Why can't planes use GPS? GPS works in any weather and a simple receiver could potentially be made cheaper than INS.

  • planes do use GPS, and then the INS is older version that that plane had

  • Yes I know, but these days GPS are getting so cheap and since they are idiot proof and weather proof why don't planes just use them in situations like these? Even small single prop planes have GPS these days.

  • @happyguy82 I think you misuderstood. gps are not idiot proof. you are trained not to trust them blindly. they are used in company of other Navigation systems so you can tell which one is lying. but not idiot proof by far.

  • @happyguy82 not accurate. a Gps has to have WAAS system to be able to do IFR approaches and a WAAS has to be assigned to an airport to be able to do that approach. Obviously not all airports have WAAS approaches. matter of a fact there are only 2 WAAS sattelites and one just went dead. lol. a vor approach can be better than a gps approach if the charts are correct. I have personally seen gps systems with more than 1 mile off where its supposed to be.

  • is any1 actually goin to talk about the crash?

  • Sorry to say, ADF was here long before Inertial Navigation. Have to love the media...

  • did the adf died?

  • quit teasing the babies. : )

  • people from baton rouge are stupid

  • fcking moron

  • @truenorthcorn are you leaving there ?

  • I love you

  • what? I'm not here to sell something....
