Setting Concrete Pavers : How to Place Stepping Stones

I know how to set concrete pavers? Not from that video I don't! You just showed laying them on the ground. I want to know how to get them level in a way that they STAY level. You just dropped them around the pit-any 3 year old who was strong enough to pick them up could have done that much.

Now that I have finally seen it, That is the most beautiful BBQ pit I have ever seen... whoda guessed that thing was built out of defected/mismatched stone.
