No, i had first only the Eisenmann muffler and afterwards the x-pipe from supersprint. As long as you buy stuff that is made for M3 it is all plug and play.
In this movie i had only the muffler, the movies with x-pipe are much louder ;-)
If you are European by all means get the E36, it is lighter and with 321hp it is just 12 short of the E46's 333. Plus, E46 weighs a lot more and in top end is slower than E36. S50 euro spec engine is very good, first engine with over 100hp/L
this is correct, but only for the s50b32 engine. Earlier years of the e36 M3 had only 3.0 liters, making 286 hp at the crank. Still a hell of a lot more than our dinky 240 hp US engines...
