The actor for Krum was hired and gave an interview about the film and he said that the scene was cut but it would be included on the DVD.. which it never was.

@BFlogs Chris Columbus directed the first two movies which were the best. He stayed true to the book, but still made them very cinematic. Columbus' hp movies had a magical, classic aroma to it that Yates' hp movies just don't have. However I liked deathly hallows part 2 a lot. The battle of hogwarts was very Lord of the Rings-like( which was what I wanted). And the epilogue of deathly hallows pt2 was very chris columbus-like. They played John Williams' hp themes.

@sweethippy67 In the 5th book, Sirius gave Harry a 2-way mirror, of which Sirius had the other part, meaning they could talk to each other through them. *Spoiler if you haven't read 5th book, just in case!!* When Sirius died, Harry smashed the mirror, but kept the large fragment. At beginning of 7th book, *spoiler for 6th book* after Dumbledore died, Harry thought he could see D's eye in the mirror and now keeps looking in it to try to see him :)

A guy and a girl don't have to like each other to dance together. I understand it's not in the book, but its showing that Harry and Hermione have a good friendship too. I agree that some of these scenes should've stayed, but it's still an AWESOME movie without them. Honsestly, I like how they do these films a lot

This you mean the single Disc DVD but as a Walmart Exclusive they do sell a 2 Disc edition with all deleted scenes and opening sequence Part 2 everything the Blu Ray has well of course not the picture in picture behind the scenes live visual commentary which is only on Blu Ray but besides that everythings on the exclusive 2 Disc edition of HP DH Part 1 available at Walmart April 15th

@gredandforge7 Sometimes they decide to delete scenes before they're edited. When that happens, the editor will edit as many as he can before the DVD needs to be made and not all of them are finished on time.
However, some scenes that were edited are still not included and I don't know why that is.
luckely here in Belgium they release the DVD on the 8th of April, but if someone wants I can also sum up what is on the DVD of deleted scenes etc.

@meganinjapillow Hermione looks at her mudblood carving while she's laying on the floor at Malfoy Manor, so I think that's in the film. The test screening audience did say, however, that the torture scene was just a tad longer that the one in the final cut and showed Bellatrix wrestling Hermione to the floor.

Yates said some scenes don't make the DVD because they can't be edited together in time. Every Harry Potter DVD so far only includes a percentage of deleted material, except for Chamber of Secrets, (which only excluded an alternate scene of the trio after Transfiguration. The dialog was the same, but the location was changed from the common room to the courtyard).

they delete all these Ron/Hermione scenes (THE ACTUAL MAJOR COUPLE OF THE SERIES), yet we get an intimate dance with Harry and Hermione that's not even in the book. I want to know which one of these directors/producers/writers has a vendetta against Rupert.
I'm pissed that they left out the scene where Harry confronts Lupin at Grimmauld Place about how he was going to abandon Tonks and his unborn child because he was worried it would be a werewolf, like him. Hopefully they'll put that in the second part... somehow, which I doubt. It would've been such an intense scene, I really would've liked to see that side of Lupin

they really shouldn't have deleted that scene of harry finding the letter, that part of the book was sweet and important. people who didn't read the books had no idea who bathilda bagshot was or why she was of any importance in the godrics hollow scene.
@sharpieminipandagirl In the film, Aunt Muriel says Bagshot was a magical historian that lived in Godric's Hollow near the Dumbledores. Later, Harry says Bagshot may have the sword since Dumbledore lived near her and she lived in a place Harry might go to.

Harry and Ron hunting a rabbit? Really? How did you know that? Is it not the scene that the trio is escaping the snatchers? I notice clothes that harry's wearing is different from the ones he wears while escaping.
@PigwidgeonTH David Yates said it's a scene where Harry and Ron hunt a rabbit and that it will be on the DVD. It's at the same camping location where they skip stones, where Ron leaves, where Hermione ties her scarf to a tree, and where Scabior finds it when they return to that spot.
They should have kept the Ron/Hermione scenes in, I think the rock throwing scene would have been really cute. Also seeing Viktor Krum again would have been funny, how sad is it for that actor to come back and not even be in the final cut of the film?
POA, HBP, and this film(DHpt.1) are the ONLY harry potter films that had minimal scenes cut from the final product. The final film was pretty much all clips inserted. also, another shot and/or scene missing was an extended run away scene of harry, ron, and hermione escaping the wedding on foot in london where hermione looks back swiftly then turns her head back to the front and she looks terrified. it was shown in the trailers..

@SpiderBoy992 The odds of more scenes being added to the list are rather slim. The BBFC has already reviewed the finished DVDs.
Yates said some scenes don't make the DVD because they can't be edited together in time. Every Harry Potter DVD so far only includes a percentage of deleted material, except for Chamber of Secrets, (which only excluded an alternate scene of the trio after Transfiguration. The dialog was the same, but the location was changed from the common room to the courtyard).

@SpiderBoy992 If you're referring to the interview he did for MTV, he said there would be "ten, twelve... fifteen minutes." The DVD will include a little over 10 minutes of deleted scenes, so he was right.
I'm wondering if he gave himself a window between 10 and 15 mins because he was wondering if he'd have the time to include all 15 minutes.

I'm pissed that they left out the scene where Harry confronts Lupin at Grimmauld Place about how he was going to abandon Tonks and his unborn child because he was worried it would be a werewolf, like him. Hopefully they'll put that in the second part... somehow, which I doubt. It would've been such an intense scene, I really would've liked to see that side of Lupin

Not too shabby considering Yates said there were about 20 minutes of deleted scenes from Order of the Phoenix that weren't on the DVD.

POA, HBP, and this film(DHpt.1) are the ONLY harry potter films that had minimal scenes cut from the final product. The final film was pretty much all clips inserted. also, another shot and/or scene missing was an extended run away scene of harry, ron, and hermione escaping the wedding on foot in london where hermione looks back swiftly then turns her head back to the front and she looks terrified. it was shown in the trailers..
