  • try the IOgear mini keyboard with track ball.

Its not too big and not too small

  • U r really superb.. by the way wut is dat white thing that u plugged dongle into? .. i mean at 2:15.. wut is dat thing with NVIDIA sticker ?

  • @deepakumarz That, old chap, is a Acer Aspire Revo R3610 PC screwed to the back of a Samsung TV.

  • I like how ur not a fan boy or a hater reviewing products

  • You should try the Rii mini keyboard. They have ones that are on bluetooth, rather than RF and are cheap enough on ebay.co.uk. I have an rf version and my only complaint is you can't turn double tap off on the touchpad, but otherwise it's quite nice. Not clicky, it's backlit, small, and re-chargeable via USB.

  • You are a natural. I will kill the annoying bald headed cunt from the gadget show and make sure you get his job.

  • @RashidDostum Thanks....it's a deal.

  • @Techmoan You sold the newer one for Lenovo last night. After much umming and arhing I bought a 5902 (backlight) from an American ebay dealer. The bald one is bigger than I thought so you might have to wait until my steroid pack and multi-gym arrives.

  • just wondering what the range for the keyboard is ? thanks

  • I see what you did their. The phrase you typed only uses every letter of the alphabet once :3

  • @ToastMaster623 No, he didn't use the letter S. He wrote 'jumped' instead of 'jumps' :)

  • what is name of this 0:32 keyboard?

  • @umbrella321007 Keysonic ACK-540RF

  • hey man great Video, this was exactly what I was needing to watch to make up my mind. thanks! great job

  • excellent review the best i have watched... no horrible music... well done! hope you do more..

  • you sound like the dude from top gear with the long hair

  • Щлак.

Ролик мышки болтается и слишком маленький.

В Win7 х64 если оставить в USB конектор девайса, то комп грузится через выбор операционной системы, даже если она на компе одна.

  • Oh and I did not find that it was from shyneonyou

  • Great review. Thank you. Very comprehensive.

  • Ubuntu 9 Plug-n-Play!! I bought one, hearing on the Linux sites of some success. All I did was plug it in per the included directions - SIMPLICITY.

AND then plugged in the USB keyboard and standard mouse which was connected. NOW I can use EITHER the Lenova OR the original keyboard/mouse with ANY coding, modifications, or switching. IT JUST WORKS los-dos!!

Your video was a major buy-maker

    Thanks!

  • Does anyone know if this will work with google tv?

  • do you find it sufficient for slingbox? this is what i would be primarily using it for. is your HTPC up to the task of slingbox in HD?

  • hey what happens If I lose the USB dongle? I recently lost mine, can I buy a new one?

  • Comment removed

  • @shawnpurcee73 I think you've got problems, with it being an RF rather than Bluetooth dongle I think it will only work with this one.

  • Wait a minute... No Function keys? I need function keys.

  • I think I might get this. It's $27 at lenovo dot com

Hopefully this will be better than my Rii mini.

    From Ben's Bargains website:

"Lenovo has their Lenovo Multimedia Remote with Keyboard (N5901) for $60 - 55% off with coupon code USPC11JL56336 [Exp 7/31] = $27 with free shipping. Features a track ball, palm-sized dimensions, USB nano dongle, 2.4GHz radio frequency, and a 10 meter control distance. Lenovo must have a million of these lying around."

  • it foxed

  • What is the remote @0:30 ? I would like to know. Thanks

  • Would this work with a tablet or a ps3?

  • @lamborghini013 No...you would need a Bluetooth Keyboard for those.

  • The Motorola remote with keyboard on the back made for XBMC is better except it doesn't have a trackball unfortunately.

  • this product is ok when there is enough light to see the keyboard. the mouse is very easy to use cause you can use it with one hand.

i would recommend this if it had backlit.

  • Great review, nice presentation, well done! Just a quick question though... Does it have a dedicated sleep/standby button? and can I wake the PC by pressing any of the buttons? Thanks.

  • Hello Techmoan,

Have you seen the Chinese version (ironic Lenovo is Chinese ;)

It has a track pad instead of the track ball!

  • Sounds like zero punctuation

  • Really informative and well produced. Thanks for putting it together. Looking to do like you and bolt a Revo on to the back of a TV, but with Ubuntu and XBMC plus a MythTV backend. Needed a controller that would be technophobe friendly for my family. This looks your video did the trick!

  • @DavidRGilson I've got another mini keyboard coming soon from HK. I can't say if it's better or worse yet - but it does claim to be bluetooth (I have my doubts). I'll review it when it shows up. I am still happy with the N5901 though, I bough the new one purely to review it.

  • What a great review, this guy is great!

  • What computer is that :D it's cooool

  • What is "this thing" @0:33 ? Name and model?

  • @frisk2k KeySonic ACK-540RF

  • @frisk2k is the new brokenlaptop 3000

  • Does anyone know if this remote works with OSX?

  • ...... cheers mate!

  • I liked your review because u gave negative reasons also. I did not think about back lit keys when i was looking at your review. Nice one might sub to you to hear more reviews

  • YES THIS IS HOW YOU DO A REVIEW.

  • Lenovo invention: when u press "Fn+ENTER" = CTRL ALT DEL ...... niiiiiiiiiice!!!! :-D

Btw, this is one of the best review of this keyboard. thanks!!! A++++

  • I've been looking for something like this. I've been using an iPhone as well.

  • there's just something about the british accent that makes instructional videos all convincing and stuff...good device! thumbs up

  • Great review!

  • Thanks for the review !!! GUess I lucked out on my first try :P est FEB 1 .. chrism customs .. really ?!?

  • This is good indeed.

  • Great review well done...

  • Excellent review i must say

im looking on ebay to purchase one now too

i too am sick of all the keyboards ive tried to use. a dodgy little bluetooth keyboard that doesnt work with win7 alone with normal usb keyboards which just dont belong in the living room

  • I'm using it right now :D

  • Very well reviewed. Bought one just now :)

  • can it be use on a playstation 3?

  • when they make a backlit one its getting bought

  • I have logitech's dinovo mini, it has some better features like Bluetooth connectivity (which means it even works with my iPhone) has a really good trackpad which is positioned better, and a li-ion battery which lasts about three months before needing a charge.

However it has a western price tag :-(

  • @bobbywotsit: I'd say the trackpad is only so-so, bordering on not very good. It's as well made as you can expect it to be, but a trackpad that small just doesn't work well. I haven't tried the trackball alternative yet, but I think it should be more comfortable. I'll try it out soon.

  • Just got it this morning, was a bit concerned about loose-easy scrolling of trackball but it seems like its a normal thing for this device, happy to know that mine is ok and its not some kind of production problem.

Sure, it could be stiffer and thus with little bit resistance would make it feel more durable.

    So far happy with it.

  • Told me everything I needed to know, ta.

  • Stop spending money on interfaces and buy a Bigger screen lol.

  • how is track ball been funtionaing? has it lost its accuracy and movement?

  • @anandmu36 I'll be honest and say that I haven't used this too much - I've not been using the PC that it's linked up to. It still works fine though - the trackball doesn't seem to be the kind that would deteriorate over time (apparently it's optical rather than mechanical).

  • What a good review!

  • This device does not work. I purchased it a week ago. It's HORRIBLE. Stay away. It will lose signal every few seconds even a few inches away from the computer.

  • @ircelectrocuted mine works great

  • Very good review, thanks!

  • what did you mean by 5 gigahertz internet?

  • @jrjtuber My Wifi router broadcasts 802.11n on the 5ghz band rather than the more cluttered and slower 2.4ghz band. The only trouble is that 5ghz doesn't travel as well through walls etc.

  • @Techmoan so if i have 802.11n im on 5ghz?

  • @jrjtuber Not necessarily, 802.11n can use 5ghz or 2.4ghz. 2.4ghz is much more common.

  • Excellent review! Crisp and concise!

  • i wish every one on youtube could review as well as you!

sick of looking for info and a nerdy little kid gives a half arse review!

a big well done and on the back of your review i will be getting one,

sucks that it doesn't have a back light though

  • @sebpearce Thanks for the feedback. I'm with you, the general standard of reviews is very poor. I try to make something that I would like to watch myself, but I'm by no means perfect (still need to reduce the rambling a bit).

  • Great review, thank you!

  • thanks for the great review, think I'll pick one up for my PS3/pc

  • I just got this the SLASH KEY. SLASH KEY looks like /, can't seem to make it work. I push the shift key simultaneously but it doesn't work. Any idea how to make that work or did I get a defect from Lenovo?

  • @TrueNovice You need to press the Fn key rather than the shift key. All orange coloured characters require you to press the Fn key.

  • @Techmoan I emailed Lenovo with the samequestion and I got a response to call tech support So thanks very much.

  • @1Squashy1 Not broken yet - I'm still happy with it. Lack of a backlight is the only real drawback.

  • Finally some reasonable review...very profesional....that keyboard is exaclly what I'm lookin' for...Thanks mate!!

  • holy fuck!!

You sound just like James May

    lmao

  • loved this review! thank you :D

  • dang, spend 60 seconds learning about your keyboards. Did not want to know that :)

  • any chance you might take a swing at the diNovo Mini for a review?

  • @AnDaTeSa Unfortunately I have to buy all the things I review, so no - but I'd love to try one out though. I have heard bad things about the reliability of them - so if I were you I'd try and look at the feedback on Amazon or somewhere similar before deciding.

  • ....And that's how a review should be done....As in very well !

Thanks for all the info; I went ahead and ordered one for myself.

  • @mcavfreak totally agree. good lighting nice quality close ups no blurry shots well spoken straight to the point. best review Ive seen compared to the awful countless reviews on you tube.

  • James may is that you?

  • @Austexan Oh cock! I've been rumbled.

  • @Austexan No, I think its Ringo.

  • @Austexan

Exactly what I thought. James May plz show your face :)

  • Had a thought looking back at your setup. You could use the SiliconDust HD Homerun network tuner for your TV needs. It is an external two digital tuner that plugs directly into your router. Offers HD/SD television to any computer on your network.

Not very useful for yourself at this point, but it might be an option for those that are looking to use the Revo (or other computer) as an HTPC.

  • @gstamo01 Err.. Meant to post that in your Revo Build video lol. My bad.

  • @gstamo01 i never even knew that product existed. Very interesting and I'm sure someone will find this useful - many thanks for pointing it out.

  • Brilliant! Like the shape too.

  • Great review as always :) , you are the John Peel of IT !

  • @sidsix Thanks sid ;-)
