  • Typical American truck (Tundra 5.7, F150 3.5 ecoboost, Silverado 6.2) are faster then the average European "Hot" hatchback in a race. Wow, just wow.

  • Jesus, 6 seconds.

  • shit that thing moves lol

  • Surprisingly quick.

  • @Motorchevytoyota What have I posted do you think came from a Ford commercial?? You were told by a Toyota rep, so I guess whatever they say is 100% true? LOL dude do your own research, you think a Toyota rep would ever tell you something bad about Toyota? Sorry to tell you, but that 10,800 to 10,400 was caused by what I posted earlier, SAE standard J2807. SAE is NOT the Goverment, so you can inform your Toyota rep that he needs to do his homework. Semis are either boxed or VERY thick Gauge C.

  • @Motorchevytoyota Again I have to correct you, Ford's 6.2 L shares max towing with the Ecoboost, so if you're talking similar engines, compare the 5.7 and Ford's 6.2. The Government has NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING to do with telling Toyota how much THEIR truck can tow. The manufacturers decide the ratings,. Whoever is telling you otherwise is an idiot and does not know what they are talking about. Same with whoever is telling you frame flex is good for carrying heavy loads, it's just wrong.

  • @Motorchevytoyota Wasn't trying to change your opinion, was just correcting and/or proving your random comments wrong or misleading. You went from saying Ford had to rely on Turbos to compete with the 5.7, I let you know their main engine is the 5.0, so you said well the 5.7 will out-haul/tow the 5.0, I proved you wrong again, so then you said The Government, not Toyota rates towing (not true), now you're saying frame flex is a GOOD thing in a truck? Toyota said it was for a softer ride, LOL

  • @Motorchevytoyota LOL, wow you are just grasping for anything aren't you. Those 50 posts I'll guarantee are all about the one incident with that off-road club bending all their F-150 Raptor Frames by jumping a large gap going 95 mph, and bottoming out their suspension that they had modified by removing the bump stops. Has nothing to do with normal use and definitely isn't anything official, so try again, and I'd love to see a Tundra take the same gap at that speed to see what would happen.

  • @Motorchevytoyota What are you referencing, what publication, report, website are you seeing these numbers showing Ford bent frames vs Toyota bent frames? Newer Tundras have been known to bend their frames from simply hitting a curb going 15 mph, and that's not a ford claim, just search Tundra Forums, more than a few owners have complained about weak frames. But back to these statistics about Ford having more bent frames than Tundra, go ahead and show me where you got those please.

  • @Motorchevytoyota Oh and as for frames, boxed is stronger than open. The Ford Super Duty has boxed frame front and back, the ONLY reason it's C-Channel in the middle is to accommodate the HUNDREDS of different configurations for the countless types of customers that require different kinds of trucks. To compensate for having open box frame, the frame steel is much thicker gauge. C-Channels do not take more abuse, Tundra frame is weak, only weaker would be the Honda Ridgeline Kind of a truck.

  • @Motorchevytoyota Put up or shut up, show me where it says the government rates Toyota's trucks for them. Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda all rate their trucks themselves, the same way, SAE J2807 standard. I don't know where you keep dreaming up these facts. On top of that you post Tundra reps towed 13,000 lbs perfectly, yet then you say no half ton can safely pull 11,500 lbs? So which is it dude? When you argue with yourself, no one wins lol.

  • @Motorchevytoyota If Toyota felt the Tundra could tow 13,000, it would rate it at that. Toyota themselves rate the crewmax at 9000 towing, not the government. Saying some reps overloaded the Tundra and it handled perfect has no bearing on maximum hauling/towing. I'm sure Ford reps have played with huge tow loads as well, but the facts are facts, Toyota doesn't come close. I would hope a 5.7 would beat a 5.0 in a race, and that 2mpg saves 100 gallons of gas a year for an average driver.

  • @Motorchevytoyota You might want to do some research before you talk out of your ass like that.

Sorry to have to burst your bubble. 4x4 CrewCab comparison.

    Max Hauling: Ford 5.0= 2770, Dodge 5.7=1909, Toyota 5.7=1575

    Max Towing: Ford 5.0= 9800, Dodge 5.7= 10450, Toyota 5.7 = 9000

So Dodge's 5.7 can tow under 7% more than the 5.0, but requires a 3:92 axle to do it, and the 5.0 can out haul the 5.7 by 46%. I won't even bother comparing the more comparable Ram 4.7 or Toyota's awful 5.7 MPG

  • @Motorchevytoyota Actually Ford's main engine for the F-150 is their 5.0, which out runs and out mpg's the Ram, Chevy, & Toyota. The TTV6 is an option.

  • @Motorchevytoyota Why not?

  • @Motorchevytoyota Volvo! (Y)

  • what a sloppy transmission

  • a 5.7 in 6.7 seconds hot damn

  • @Motorchevytoyota Wow and the Tundra and Ram we are talking about are v8's. Thats pretty good then :)

  • @Motorchevytoyota Yeah thats not bad. My uncle got an F-150 because he said it had the best gas mileage... is this true?

  • @Motorchevytoyota Oh yeah I have to admit. the older Rams weren't as reliable but they seem to be trying really hard with the new ones. But I also think they should try to improve their fuel economy. A lot of people now in days are looking for good fuel economy and they aren't keeping up with GM, Toyota and Ford in that department.

  • @Motorchevytoyota What are they doing? I actually don't know lol :)

  • @Motorchevytoyota I'm willing to do that. And hey... sorry about bashing Toyota. they do make good cars. my aunt has a rav 4 and its a real nice vehicle. Its not that old but I don't think she has had any problems with it. And yeah sorry again. I don't like being mean for no reason.

  • @Motorchevytoyota Ok I'm going to be strait with you... I don't mind Toyota. Yes I like Chrysler better but there is nothing terribly wrong with Toyota. But i have a 2002 Dodge Dakota with 356,582 km on it and I have never had a problem either. So I am just going to say they are both good.

  • @Motorchevytoyota If Chryslers are shit then why would you get a Toyota since they are worse??? And if she had have maintained it then that would mean it would still work. you can't maintain shit... like a Toyota.

  • @Motorchevytoyota think you might have been seeing things on that Mustang LOL, honest mistake....and like I said, the Corolla/Matrix/RAV4 & Lexus RX350 are made here in Ontario, Canada along with 5 different models of Honda/Acura (as far as "imports" are concerned)

  • @Motorchevytoyota are you sure about that Mexican Mustang? lol! They might have had specialty models assembled there? I dunno, all I know is we supply the 5.0L to the Flat Rock, Michigan Mustang Plant and The Dearborn F-150 plant. Indiana Toyota? I am guessing Tundra or Sequoia! Unless it was a very new one, it won't be cause the are assembled in Texas now I believe? We build the Corolla/Matrix/RAV4 here in Ontario...Not much left except the Prius LOL

  • @Motorchevytoyota oh..btw, the Mustang is built in Michigan with Ontario built 5.0L motors :)

  • @Motorchevytoyota hey man, I totally agree with that statement, but that doesn't make one better than an other if you are programmed to a certain brand. I love Tundra trucks, there big and muscular looking with power to boot! I have NOTHING against Toyota and there products, they put a lot of Canadians to work when GM, Ford & Chrysler were cutting or even shutting down here. We lost the GM trucks (1500) in 2006/7 and the now make them in Detroit, that same year, Toyota built a plant in Kitchener

  • @Motorchevytoyota Ever notice that Chrysler is in Detroit? And if Toyota is more American than Ford, Chrysler, or Jeep (witch is made by Chrysler so I don't even know why you said Jeep) Then why was Toyota created in japan and Ford, Chrysler and Chev in the states?

  • @iRNubEh only ONE Chrysler nameplate vehicle is built in America, and that is the 200 in Detroit...those ads are total bull$hit! The 300 and Town & Country are both made in Ontario..

  • @strumem90 lol I live in Ontario so thats good for me. I like the 300 but the town and country is kinda ugly...

  • @iRNubEh lol....small world, well ya there ugly, just proving a point, Ontario is home to over 10+ vehicle plants, we build quite a few Honda/Acura models and Toyota models right here....LOL....Add onto that Ontario builds 2 so called "American Muscle Cars" the Challenger and the New Camaro :P Oh well, I would rather us build them than Mexicans :)

  • @Motorchevytoyota Toyota ruined my life when my accelerator got stuck and I ran into a tree. Chrysler all the way! And BTW Your aunt must suck at driving if she killed a jeep that quick.

  • @Motorchevytoyota It depends on what you buy. See most people don't do proper research before buying a car. And we aren't stopping Obama, we are just waiting around for this "Big plan" to create jobs that he speaks of

  • @Motorchevytoyota You must not know how to take care of a vehicle then, or you just have shit luck. What does everybody think of when you say offroading? a toyota 4 runner? Jeep! And you have absolutely no idea how much I would love to ruin the toyota name. Its people like you that have no concept of patriotism or the well being of our country. The reason the economy is in the toilet is because uninformed people buy imported products. I hate toyota with a passion. Lying, careless, manipulative!

  • @Motorchevytoyota Lol you know nothing about Jeeps then. Any old jeep with the AMC 4.0 inline 6 will outlast a crappy 4 runner that pretends like its an orv. You have obviously never owned a jeep, or a real one anyways.

  • i love my tundra so much. new i was buyin a 5.7L v8 when i got it but didnt expect it to be this fast.

  • umm ok tundra is suppose to be a v8 why does it sound like a 4 banger

  • 5.8 seconds official

  • why is your rpm guage slow?

  • @n00bcak35 The sound is out of sync. A lot of his videos are like this.

  • I've been driving 07+ Tundras for three years as works trucks and they have been SOLID. No issues, period.

I would never have bought a Tundra and in fact bought an 08' Vortec Max Silverado as my personal vehicle (I was using Chevy's when I was still contracting). The 08' Silverado is every comfortable but it does NOT have the build quality of the Tundra. Everybody has their own opinions as to what quality is and in my case Tundra is hands down better. No worn parts, surprise costs at 75Kmiles

  • @Magnum74 you ever wonder why chevys are so cheap?

  • I am not a fan of foreign vehicles at all, but I will admit that the Tundra is pretty impressive.

  • 6.2 sec?

  • TACOMA FTFW!

  • @chorstma44 Toyotas arent really heavy duty trucks there not made for towing a lot of weight or anything but for what they are, and what they are made for they destroy everything in class

  • @chorstma44 the 4.7L iForce is a great engine. That was the best tundra. The 1st gen. It is versatile. It handles as well or better than most american truck. It's also faster than most of the trucks from those years (before 07). The new one, they bit off more than they could chew.

  • @chorstma44 It sounds more like you're blowing smoke, not your neighbor's Tundra.

  • @chorstma44 Oh, GTFO. My last three trucks have all been American, dumbass. I didn't go here to defend Toyota, I'm only pointing out your BS. Seriously, shut up and stop making yourself look like an insecure idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • @chorstma44 What you say is bs. post a video of your neighbors truck not starting and the mileage of it with their permission. Then you should report the false advertising you are talking about. If toyota is lying in their advertisements their company would be destroyed. If you cant do that, what you say is 100% bullsh!t

  • @chorstma44 lol keep posting. i like seeing all your stupid comments get down voted into oblivion.

  • @chorstma44 "American made". HAHAHAHA!!!!

  • @utubegold1 not now adays! i want my truck to be fast from the factory!

  • 6.6 seconds not too shabby

  • umm peeps tundra made in america silverado made in mexico get it right

  • I had one of these turn in front of me in my 95z28 Auto Convert. Surprised the hell outta me. i didnt really get going until 60 (didnt really realise he was wanting to race till he took off) and I started in 3rd (didnt give it full gas). Around 80 my 3rd was raring to go (when 2nd goes to 3rd under full bore)and started closing the distance pretty quick. Closed on his bumper at 100 then shot around him. I was pretty shocked how quick that truck was lol.

  • cool 6 second

  • damn that was a smooth 0-60 NICE!

  • lol he won't be able to stop it

  • Woah it made it to 60 without any frame flex or axle hop? Shocking.

  • you should mount the mic on the exhaust to get some more sound and avoid extra noises for these 0-60 vids

  • @KiriExtreme I've been thinking about doing something similar. Lots of stuff to consider. The little camera we use for the 0-60 shots does not have an external microphone jack and the DVX is too large to rig up for this.

Recently picked up a new small camera with a mic jack that might work for this, but we need the right mic(s). A wireless mic setup could fit the bill, but wind noise will be a big factor if we mount a mike outside the car. It would also take a whole lot longer to rig up ...

  • @mpgomatic OR you could do what my friend does and have a mic separate from the camera and combine them on a movie maker :p

  • @mpgomatic I agree, mounting a mic outside is NOT something you want to do to avoid extra noise. Wind noise ruins most 0-60 videos. I can only count on mpgomatic most of the time to give good 0-60 sounds. Plus, if you've got the car, this is what you'll be hearing. (The videos sound better with a good pair of headphones too)

  • @aieljose People make all sorts of judgments and assumptions based on what type of car/truck they drive. I will think more of you or less of you based on that, and you also subconsciously make similar assumptions.

  • @Quatermain98526 Well maybe you would because you hate toyotas. It works the other way for people who hate chevys and fords. I couldn't care less how the haters judge me. I don't live my life to please people i don't even know or care about...

  • I hate Toyotas, and i will never own a truck unless i have to. But that thing is pretty quick, I'm sorta impressed.

  • @Quatermain98526 it has a 4.3 rear. Hell my f150 has 3.55 rear, what do u think it would do with a 4.3? I mean hell, a 4.3 is what the f450 has to pull 24k!

  • @blawilliams I think my Camaro only has 2.73 rear, 3.23 tops but I don't think it has that. I couldn't afford the gas mileage if I had 4.3's.

  • @Quatermain98526 lol, no shit. Ill give toyo a little credit. They matched their 6 speed tranny up nicely to that 4.3, which makes it get decent fuel mileage, but problem is really the only thing a tundra can do to beef up is in the engine. Im one day going to put a 4.1 under my f150 which will probably add around 50-60 hp to the ground and will put my 0-60 right with the tundra or better, but im gonna throw some 35's which will slow it back down lol

  • @blawilliams i like the f150 a lot better than the tundra, i used to like the tundra the best and think it was the best looking, but then i saw the svt raptor, im thinking of getting a pick up id much rather have the f150 but my second choice is the tundra

  • should race a RAM srt10, or maybe a Lightning... oh wait, that wouldnt be fair hahaha

  • @gittyupalice96 Lets compare the price of a tundra vs the price of a RAM srt10 or Lightning.....oh wait, that wouldn't be fair.....

  • @aieljose i heard a saying once... you get what you pay for bahahaha, besides i dont really care. personally i say there all slow as fuck, lets see one beat my 383 stroker... o wait, a 8 grand car wipes its ass with 80,000 cars.

  • @gittyupalice96 Fair enough, but the tundra wasnt made to compete with the SRT10 and Lightning so comparing them is stupid. Its faster than the F150, Ram, and Siverado, all the trucks in its same class.

  • @aieljose true, but i doubt one will ever out pull a dodge ram 5500, or the 2500 none the less. let alone the ford f-450, so as far as towing it loses again..

  • @gittyupalice96 Again your comparing trucks in diferent classes. Your supposed to compare 1500's to 1500's and 2500's to 2500's. That's like saying the truck is shit cause a semi will tow more weight......No Shit. Its a semi. It wasnt made to compete with a 1500 pickup or any pickup for that matter.

  • @aieljose hahaha, well then, if you need to pull a tiny little camper buy a toyota, if you need to haul a huge goose neck, or racing trailer buy a dodge chevy or ford. yes the toyota is meant for less work load i agree, but i would still rather own a chevy 1500, to a toyota any day of the week.

  • @gittyupalice96 Don't talk about the tundra like its weak cause its not. The tundra has higher max towing than the silverado, and ram. (same trucks in its class). And only trails the F150 by 300lbs in max towing. It is by no means weak.

  • @gittyupalice96 ignorance is bliss.

Learn something about vehicles before you talk.

  • @gittyupalice96 it's not the same class...those are more racing "trucks"

  • dam wat was the time?

  • that would be scary when the gas pedal decides too kiss the floor and not let up!

  • Not bad 6.72 seconds to 60mph.

  • toyota sucks, theres 1000's of tundra owners with surging engines that toyota wont warranty, ask any of them if they will buy a toyota again lol

  • why is it so much faster than the ram?

  • @chris000089

Now I think the New Ram is Faster than Tundra.

Previous Ram Model have 345 hp.

    2008 Tundra - 380 hp.

    2010 Dodge Ram hemi - 390 horse.

But, The new 2011 Ford F150 will be faster than dodge, tundra, and chevy.

    6.2L V8 - 420+ hp.

  • @kenneykole Horsepower ratings are misleading. Just because the ram has only ten more horsepower than the tundra doesn't mean it's faster or even as fast. I have my doubts about Ford.

  • @chris000089

    Now I got it.

Tundra is faster than Ram because Tundra have 6 speed trans.

    Ram have 5 speed trans.

So the 6 speed have small gear on first gear which pulls more torque and take off fast too.

  • @kenneykole better tuning, better engineering than the ram

  • What kind of lame-ass explanation is that? What're you, a politician? Lol, "better tuning, better engineering."

    kenney was right. It has to do with the 6-speed vs 5-speed trans. There's a reason a 06 f150 with a 5.4L V8 gets 0-60 in 8 sec. It has a 4-speed trans.

All trucks should have 6-speed trans stock. They not only provide better performance, they also increase towing power.

  • @MarineHawk117 Yeah, better engineering. Toyota was smart enough to put a 6 speed into it (even in 2007) and not fuck around with an outdated 5 speed like Dodge is in 2009.

  • True. Like I said, it's the transmission, not "tuning."

I love my ram, I do, but I swear to God I could kick the Dodge Ram developers in the ass for not making the hemi ram a 6-speed. Every truck should be a 6-speed as a standard.

  • @MarineHawk117 Yes, tuning too. The transmission is tuned well to get the best economy, horsepower, torque etc.

  • Oh bullshit. If you "tuned" a Toyota tundra 5.7L with a 5-speed trans, instead of a 6-speed, it's 0-60 would be very close to the Ram Hemi.

When a car company produces a high performance engine, it's "tuned well." be it Toyota, Nissan, or Dodge.

  • @chris000089 I beg to differ, watch the video ford posted when they challeged all the trucks agianst theres and see how good it is.

  • @Beldar4214 Where did you get those numbers, Fiats website? The Tundra has a max payload of 2000 lbs and max towing of 10,800lbs. The numbers you gave out was the 4.6 Tundra, and 5.7 ram. Sorry, your wrong. Buy the way, you can stregnthenthe frame of a Truck, you cant make a shitty Ram a good truck.

  • @chris000089 bullshit

  • @chris000089 yeah right dude ram rapes the tundra

  • @MrSmokinhotdude I don't know if you've driven both but coming from someone who has, the Tundra at least feels much faster. The Ram takes forever to rev up.

  • @chris000089 i dont need to drive a bull shit tundra i make the rams my self at warren truck assembly and i bet you we sell more rams than tundras lol what the fuck is a tundra

  • @MrSmokinhotdude alright...so you don't even have the experience to be saying that

  • @chris000089 wow i didnt know you need experience to press on the gas that was so dumb dude like seriously come at me with a better comment than that

  • @MrSmokinhotdude lol Oh the irony. You are a Ram fanboy cause you work at the place where they asemble them. You see the trend? By the way don't watch the vid cause you obviously hate Tundras anyway. And if you havent driven a tundra you "would know that its bullshit" right?

  • @bigguyviet100 lol sure even tho i make the chrysler 200 and dodge avengers but i have also owned sliverado f-150 and rams so i guess that still makes me a fanboy ok ill be that but i know one things for sure tundra is a little pick up truck like the dakota and the ford explorer

  • @MrSmokinhotdude and you haven't owned a tundra. actually a tacoma is a little pick up truck. i think you are mistaken.

  • Yeah i Highly doubt Ford is actually gonna put that engine in the F150.Maybe the new 5.0 they use in the mustang, and its got over 400 hp.But i doubt the 6.2.

  • @oreilly335

    No not in F150.

    Just EcoBOOST 3.5L V6 - 365 hp and 6.2L V8 - 420+ hp I think.

But they are using 5.0L in Mustang 400+ in GT version and standard will put new 3.7L V6 - 305 hp.

  • Yeah thats what i meant. But you said they would be putting the 6.2 in the f150's.I dont think.are they?

  • @oreilly335

I just check out in Website and yes they are putting 6.2L in the F150 in 2011(next year). Can't wait to try it!

  • Ah.COOL.Should be an interesting year for Ford then.Guess I was wrong :)

  • That can't be correct MarineHawk... No way an 05 Ram runs a 7.0.

  • Oh yeah. A proper launch, 0-60 7.0 sec. 7,000 lbs QC.

Bear in mind, it's 5 years old, has 17,000 miles, very close to sea level. Ambient temp is in the 80s. I believe the last time I timed it, the tank was 1/4 full. Tires are bald, no traction, though great for drifting. 7.0 sec.

  • if it did get stuck just throw that B**** In neutral and shut it off.

  • thats pretty fast

  • Wow. 0-60 in 5.9 seconds??!! SWEET :)

  • I what to know how much better Dodge Ram 5.7L V8 390 horse is?

    Tundra - 380 horse.

  • @kenneykole

    A 05 Ram 5.7L Hemi V8 Quad (Stock) with 345 hp gets 0-60 in 7.0 seconds.

    So... a little better?

  • @MarineHawk117 my old little 2002 tundra can our run a hemi ram....

  • If it doesn't disintegrate from rust during the launch.

What's the weight? What the 0-60? Stock?

  • nicely done at 6 seconds!

  • the turndra is a badass truck

  • @ashtrey05 do you have a video on youtube to prove it?

  • yup. go to my page, i have lots of videos. my truck does have some mods though.

  • yeah even though the toyota has a sticky gas pedal

  • * toyota Prius has a stick gas pedal

  • @atgskater14 Wow.

  • i hope thats not a GM v8 in a toyota

  • No it not. Just Toyota's V8

  • Yeah,a V8 that Toyota stole.The 5.7l is a 350 witch belongs to GM

  • I lol'd hard at your comment.

    Fail

  • the tundra has a lot of break down problems its horrible in the towing department yu get more cargo space in a chevy avalanche a mid sized truck in reality you dont buy a truck for 0-60 time you buy it for work and thats why chevy dodge and ford are head and shoulders above the tundra not only that but theyre frames are mor durible too the only truck buy toyota that might stand a chance against domestic trucks is the tacoma but still the chevy colorado and ford ranger are better than it

  • toyota hilux is still the best ever ute. always will be and they never break

  • the taliban are a bunch of dumb terrorists and by the way merry christmas

  • yeah and theyre reason is they hate american made

  • cool story bro.

  • The Colorado is a piece of baby shit..They've even told Chevrolet in reviews about the Colorado, they needed to either make a better truck,or quit making it altogether..Now dont get me wrong im not dissing Chevy, just the Colorado...I love the Silverado.

  • the colorados a 5 cylinder its a nice light duty truck but yeah i got to say id take a ranger over it

  • Also did you know about Chevy Colorado now making 5.3L V8?

  • Yes.But that doesnt make it any better at offroading,towing,etc..I think the V8 option is nice, and i wish they had one for the Tacoma's.I just dont hink the Colorado has what it takes to compete with the other mid-size trucks in it's class.

  • my 03 silverado with a 5.3 and a tune is just as quick. You would think with almost 400 hp it would be quicker. Still an awesome truck and hope to own one real soon.

  • hahaha UH no. Maybe if it's a regular cab shortbox

  • its an extended cab. But yea, I got a black bear tune and can get it to 60 in about 7 seconds.

  • tundras weight alot. i saw in a trucktrend magazine that a regular cab shortbox tundra weighs 5200 pounds. that's probably about the same as your truck? and it's a regular cab lol all i'm saying is the tundra might have more hp but it's moving a lot more mass. that and it's got a six speed with crazy rear end gears lol

  • I count this tundra to be like 6.7 6.8

  • shit that is real fast for a pick-up truck especially for one the tundra's size!!

  • Comment removed

  • It fades because its actual 100% leather. We have a 2008 F-350 King Ranch and the Leather is in good condition other than the fact that dogs have scratched it up.

  • really fast. nice on toyota

  • Comment to ScorpioFuror,

Have you really looked at the king ranch? Just ask anybody who has had one and they will tell you how poorly mad the interior is. The leather starts to fade within months!

  • I don't know what you mean, my dad has a 2002 King Ranch F-150, and it's pretty decent given it's years of riding and wear and tear. Sure there's a few, and I emphasize, FEW, tears, but other than that, the leather still the mocha chocolate brown it always have been. No visable fading. But my dad obsessed with waxing and cleansing, so IDK. Maybe proper ownership has something to do with it?

  • Why toyota would use a timing belt in an interference style engine is beyond my comprehension. For a company that is supposed to design very good cars, that particular design decision was simply sloppy, cheap and a very bad choice.

  • Mmm, I don't know, but the Toyota Tundra seems to be doing well anyways.

And supposed? It's a proven hypothesis, therefore a theory. Toyota does make very good cars. The Camry is well designed and executed, so is the Highlander, and Corolla does well in it's class. Only gripe is the Sienna, Toyota got to redesign the seat protection; it scored terribly at rear impact t
