Nice video, beautiful valks!! I just discovered macross zero( yes I know very behind) anyways I fell in love with both of them, I have the toynami 1/55 versions 1-5 . But I'm looking to up grade to the Yamatos 1/60 versions, and those 2 will be the 1st two I get, any advise from were? Again nice video..
@OpTic3liJK Because Macross Zero is an OVA (Original Video Animation). OVAs are generally short animated series (manga) that are released in home-video format and are not shown on TV or theathers.
Agree. I hate when that happens. You feel like there should be more to be seen. But that's the way Japanese OVAs go. Even with Frontier, not an OVA, but the end of the show was quite disappointing.
@OpTic3liJK Well, for the sake of keeping the show 25 episodes long, the ending feels somewhat inconclusive. Up to episode 22-24 the show has a momentum that is suddenly "slowed down" by an ending that doesn't feel satisfying. Nevertheless, the show is very much worth watching. It is without a doubt the best Anime animation to date in the Macross universe.
these cost alot of cash even if they were made in 2007 i think for 200 bucks they can make things able to hold up during a simple transformation havent had a single problem with the other 1/60s hope they shot out a better version of this later
Yeah Yamato really needs to remake these guys; the only valk I would get is the VF-0A with ghost, heard that versions doesnt have the shoulder probs but who know @_@
LoL, yeah... I had fun with the VF-0S. I did put very few stickers on the 0A since dark color figures tend to show them more... but yeah, I think I got over excited with the 0S, LoL.
Loving the color scheme of the VF-0A I really want one but im afraid I might be getting the one with the shoulder problem.. :( I hope Yamato reissue both of them since they perfected the new 1/60s'..
Well, it's hard to predict. When I got my VF-0A it came with two left-shoulder covers, showing the back screw in the front. I contacted HobbyLink Japan about it and they sent me the part for free. If you buy your Valk at HLJ and happen to have any issues with it they will send you the part for free or exchange the item no problem. That's one of the reasons I prefer HLJ over other stores. If you're getting a VF-0A I would advise you to do it there, just in case...
I should add, HobbyLink will exchange or send you a free (Yamato) part if you find a manufacturing defect in the item when you get it out of the box. (Yamato guarantees their product of manufacturing defects). This means that you should report any issue as soon as you receive the item. But if after weeks of use you break a part, you're out of luck... you would then have to BUY the part. I hope this clarifies and helps the issue.
best looking one... i own the vf-0a and it was a shame the shoulder problem.... i made a mold and cast them again.... so no problem for me... but what about the others????
I asked myself the same question when I first saw the 0S... why would the VF-0S have only two head cannons when the Valk is suppose to be an "S" type and not an "J" type? (as you noted). But to this day I still don't know why they did that...
The 0A is a very nice Valkyrie, I like it very much... although when I first got it it came with two left shoulders... yeah, you could see the screw of the right shoulder in the front side of the Valkyrie. Fortunately HLJ sent me the part right after I contacted them about the issue... now my 0A is fine.
Well I received my VF-0S .. Outstanding !
I have my sights on the SV-51 Nora type.
Thank you for info, once I've completed my ZERO collection I'll post video, thanx again

Why does Macross Zero only have 5 episodes?
OpTic3liJK 1 year ago
@OpTic3liJK Because Macross Zero is an OVA (Original Video Animation). OVAs are generally short animated series (manga) that are released in home-video format and are not shown on TV or theathers.

Heh, I see you've used some of the large abundance of the "NO STEP" stickers. I still have a hundred or so left.

The VF-0A has been growing on me the more I see it.
I always wondered why they only went with two head cannons on the VF-0S when it makes it look like a possible VF-0J?
