Dude I think I just accomplished the most compact 3x3 door tonight that roughly take up about a 10x10x7 (10 wide each way and 7 deep). It's super fast! I will try to create a showing and maybe a tutorial on it as soon as possible. And there is absolutely no visible wiring or pistons in my contraption. I'll post a video response maybe tonight on how it.

Not very compact. Sure you could do it in a lot less space, although I am surprised at how clean it is coming in and out of the wall, You can tell that you've really worked on the timing a lot to make it as smooth as possible.
