  • last time they met was 1986 bird and michel caeltic vs bulls

  • dat shit cray

  • my left ear is asleep :P

  • and after this there were 5 more

  • Look at that stat line. Neither Kobe or Lebron have done numbers like that in the Finals.

  • Unstoppable, but I liked that move by Scottie Pippen beginning at 4:31

  • watchign this guy you can say there are others that have equal if not slightly more vertical. Dominique, Vince Carter etc.

But no player i have seen that can hang like Jordan after getting so high.

  • @Dkouts57 well think about it, Michael was only 195lbs at the time. So he was like an sheet of paper with glue sticking to the air cause he was so light, plus he knew how to carry his weight unlike Patrick Ewing :$

  • @flocka85

i think by 1991 he may have weighed a little more probably cracked low 200lbs.

he was about 206 in 1993

212-213 in 1996 when playing more post up.

  • @Dkouts57 i did research on his 1991 weight, and i keep getting 195lbs or 196lbs idk he wat ever weight he was he knew how to work it!

  • this is where it all stared for the basketball god

  • Numbet 12 in Lakers is Vlade Divac Right ?

  • This was the beginning of the change of the guard so to speak. The league was getting ready for the exchange of the crown. This was Magic and Bird handing the crown to the new king of the NBA in MJ, or should i say this was MJ ripping the crown away from Magic and proclaiming himself the new king. I say the latter is a more accurate way to describe it.

  • fantasy beats the reality...I like that!!!

  • fantasy beats the reality...I like that!!!

  • Best Finals ever.

  • pippen almost hit that shot at the end...

  • Jordan lived for these moments, the pressure, defense, the atmosphere, the hype was nothing to this Man. MJ was dominating Finals Games like regular season.

  • The thing to watch is Mike after he missed the shot. He was dissapointed, but still smiling. His attitude was "well, we're still going to win the series."

  • @BishopOcelot Lol I think he was actually thinking " Well we're still gonna win the game theres still about 3 seconds left."

  • I watched all of them Game 1-5

  • No disrespect to MJ but the Lakers were pretty much old and done that year. Jordan wouldnt even have a chance against the showtime 80s Lakers

  • @Kenny1984 Not true. Magic was 31, Worthy and Scott were 29, A.C. Green was 27, Perkins was 29. Do you call that old?

  • @KoachKrab127 They were pretty much done in term of athleticism and they are not the same team as the 80s show time Lakers. So my statement is true

  • @Kenny1984 Your statement is not true. They were not old. You could say they were not as good as the 80s Lakers, which is true, but that reason is not because they were old.

  • @KoachKrab127 Yeah, I call that "old" when you consider that, save for Kareem Abdul Jabbar, the core of Magic Johnson, Byron Scott and James Worthy had been playing together since 1983. If you were to add all of the playoff games they played together, that's the equivalent of TWO EXTRA Nba seasons. Simply put, that's a hell of a lot more than the Jordan and the Bulls played up to that time. The Lakers had their time and the Bulls would have theirs. Had they met in the 80s, Lakers would have won.

  • @roderick9ful Agreed, Lakers of the 80s would have beat those bulls teams.

  • I dont see any Kobe fans talking shit on youtube, I couldnt find any since the playoffs started. Lakers about to get swept by the Mavericks, I love it, lol.

  • @KQH8 We done talking shit because we tired of it. How many rings have the Lakers won in the last 10 years ? 5 that's right. Something that other franchise can only dream of

  • @Kenny1984 Understand something Kenny, I have other things going on in my life than the NBA, the conversations were interesting while they lasted, but lets move on shall we. Hit me up anytime about anything other than basketball, peace and love.

  • @KQH8 Everybody got something beside watching NBA but people are quick to hate the Lakers without appreciating how good they were in the past and last few years.

  • @Kenny1984 It's true the lakers are the more dominant Franchise...Many generations of winning..The Bulls only the "Jordan Era".

  • amazes me that not only is mj the goat but how much better he is than anyone to ever touch a ball...i mean look at those stats! 31 pts 12 assists 7 rbs 3 stls 2 blks on 57% shooting. absolutely unreal.

  • Comment removed

  • I wish the next NBA2K would be done in the NBA on NBC format and lets you play with the old teams....probably not possible though.

  • @LifeFirst They do have it. The recent article I read about it on Game Informer has more details.

  • Kobe has never taken the title from anyone, because no team was dominant in his era. Jordan on the other hand took the title from Magic Johnson, he prevented Thomas and the pistons from a three peat and prevented Barkley from getting a ring period. Who else is better than Mike. No one. Deal with it.

  • @KQH8 True, that would of been embarassing if Thomas beat jordan for a 4th straight time.

  • @KQH8 Woah woah. Relax there. Every team Jordan faced in the finals wasn't really powerhouse defensively other than Seattle. Now to get to the finals he had to go through the some tough teams but in the finals it was always easier than who he had faced on the way there. He's the GOAT and all don't get me wrong but the 08 celtics and 04 pistons were some tough defensive teams.

  • @Zachrydaman and your damn point kobe sucked ass in those finals he could have scored 40 a game but he did not and the basketball god would have detrone them

  • @GreatkingAlexander Relax. Your riding pretty hard right now. Jordan is great but I'm just saying the the 08 celtics and the 04 pistons are better than any team he ever played in the finals in terms of the defensive end. Like I said Jordan is still the GOAT, it's not his fault he faced who he did in the finals and 6-0 is an amazing feat but I'm just stating that acting as if Jordan was playing the number 1 defense in the league everytime in the Finals is pushing it.

  • @Zachrydaman so the 04 and 08 pis and celts are better then the 80s bad boy pistons and the 80s celts defense i don.t think so the god would have dethrone them and kobe was not a consistent b ball guy like the man was he knew when to pick you apart and kobe just went straight to the point with no consistenty thats why they lost the key word consistent the god and nonconsistent jesus

  • @GreatkingAlexander I'm really not gonna get into who's the better defensive team the bad boys or the 08 celts or 04 pistons. Very hard to compare era's defenses. But regardless Jordan had a better team around him and faced lesser teams in the FINALS then Kobe has. And in this era defenses aren't allowed to be as physical so they've gotten more technical. Regardless I still feel Jordan is the GOAT but i'm unbiased so I'm gonna speak what I feel and I feel Kobe has faced harder teams inthe finals

  • @Zachrydaman are you fucking stupid are what fool lessor teams man the lakers blazers suns sonics and jazz where elite teams vs those chumps that kobe face pacers sixers nets the magic and the 98 jazz where better then the 2010 celtics are you fucking joking its clearly you coming up short and kobes lineup was way better the the bulls lineup you coming up short homie you damn sure as hell are not from the golden era

  • @Zachrydaman and a another issue the god of the nab never ever lost a nab finals never thats what defines him 1 team ball 2 team ball 3 parson 4 team ball 5 steve keer number 6 won it single handily and kobes 5 number 1 team ball number 2 team ball number 3 team ball number 4 team ball number 5 team ball has kobe ever single handily won a title compare to the god fuck no and kobe has lost 2 nab finals that the defined never lost has lost got it

  • @Zachrydaman you got to be from la harder teams you call the 2000 pacers a team that in 98 was much better then 2000 the god beat the 01 sixes 02 nets 09 magic 10 celtics where harder teams you kidding me right you have to be kidding me right

  • @GreatkingAlexander First of all u need to relax. 2nd u need to make ur sentences a little bit more clear. And lastly stop calling Jordan "God" cus the man is great but he isn't God. I said I'm not gonna argue about the teams. I said it before I'm saying what I think is the truth. I'm completely unbiased, while u on the other hand are clearly biased.

  • @Zachrydaman thats what you dream of being failure you suck a thats all

  • M.J. V.S M.J. in order to be the best you got to beat the best

  • this is what i LOVE about MJ.

During the regular season he lays back and plays according to the Triangle Offense, but once the Playoffs start it's TO HELL WITH THE TRIANGLE for MJ.

It certainly works too, 6 rings.

  • If the Lakers were 25 years old again without magic having HIV . Lakers with Karreeam worthy Scott would kill the bulls. The Celtics would defend Jordan Better though the Celtics had better defenders. Bird MChale Johnson Parish ect...

  • If the Lakers were 25 years old again without magic having HIV . Lakers with Karreeam worthy Scott would kill the bulls. The Celtics would defend Jordan Better though the Celtics had better defenders. Bird MCCaleJohnson Parish ect...

  • I'm not saying Kobe sucks

I also think he is the best in the NBA

But it's true he doesn't get along wit most ppl

Why the lakers got rid of shaq?

But other than Kobe is nice

He's like the Derek Jeter of the NBA

    The Best player !

  • @TheMrOct Dude that was the stupidest thing I have ever read. kobe doesnt have enemies. he is a nice guy. its only the haters that believe he is a dick.

  • @TheMrOct Dude that was the stupidest thing I have ever read. kobe doesnt have enemies. he is a nice guy. its only the haters that believe he is a dick. And he didnt kick shaq out. even shaq addmitted that. He gets along with everybody. He just likes to keep to his own, and that doesnt mean he is a bad teamate

  • Kobe is no Jordan he's nice

But Kobe thinks that the entire NBA

Revolves around him he doesn't make friends with his teamates

    And he's too cocky

  • @TheMrOct How do you know? Thats a hell of statement to make about someone you don't know personally

  • Besides, what's happening to Kobe right now? he's having a hard time to put his team to victory once more. MJ will never let that happen and it didn't.

  • @kelotz07 Yea he did, do your research kobe hater

  • MJ will always be MJ. Kobe will always be M-gay.

  • @kelotz07 Michel Jordan is a jerk and will always be a jerk If Jordan and Koby were top to play now Jordan would lose Jodan is 47 and a old man. Magic was 6 yrs older than Jordan with HIV do you Honestly believe the Lakers of the 80's would have lost to the bulls If they were the same age. I DON"T THINK SO!

  • @kevinjrxoxo thats y jordan beat the lakers u fagot ass bitch

  • @kelotz07 Michel Jordan is a jerk and will always be a jerk If Jordan and Kobe were top to play now Jordan would lose Jodan is 47 and a old man. Magic was 6 yrs older than Jordan with HIV do you Honestly believe the Lakers of the 80's would have lost to the bulls If they were the same age. I DON"T THINK SO!

  • this isnt the whole game

  • oh the hell with kobe. the only reason he will never be better than mj is the character that mj has. HE is an athlete that is loyal to the game, i dont remember him showing around his money with awesome cars and stuff. on the other hand kobe goes to the b-ball courts in harlem which is historical along with cameramen 3 bodybuilders and thinks he is better than anyone.

  • for everybody who thinks kobe, lebron ,chris paul, or even dwane wade they are better than mj are WRONG michael jordan is he made it to the nba finals almost every single year........ but i wish he still played

  • mj is the goat

  • its funny how Jordan and Magic are opposites and so are their numbers 23, 32. Haha

  • I love Kobe to death!!!! but sometimes he takes shots that shouldnt be taken. Granted he'll make them sometimes. but still. Mj was smarter with his shot selection which is why h could score so much with such a high percentage

  • CLUTCH IS BASED ON THE MOMENT!!! COUNT UP CLUTCH PLAYOFF MOMENTS OR GAME WINNERS AGAINST CONTENDING TEAMS. KOBE MAKES GAME WINNERS AND HAS BIG GAMES DURING MEANINGLESS SITUATIONS. JORDAN HAS AT LEAST 4 GAME WINNERS IN THE NBA FINALS. NOT INCLUDING THE SHOT THAT TIED THE GAME IN THE 91 FINALS.

  • I grew up in the MJ era of basketball, and never got a chance to really see Magic in action. Would've been nice to see Magic finish the rest of his career like he probably had planned.

  • Jordan showed the entire repertoire. The only thing he didn't do was hit the game winner.

  • dont compare MJ to the selfish prick that is kobe.....MJ 6 bryant 1 as a leader case closed

  • how did mj miss that

  • Somebody can tell me where i can watch this Game???

    Thanks.

  • Sweet intro!

  • This is Nittobbs, I am going to switch screen names because you blocked me. First off, dont shoot back your bogus 60% to 21% with no credibility and then block me so I can answer because ure getting shot down with an arguement you cant beat....

Many sites including ESPN have already sited these game winners & they have debated between kobe and MJ for most clutch. Espn listing both mj-25 & kobe-28. Other fan sites of mj have all his game winners sited. All sites at 25. Just deal with the facts

  • You do not read. There is no official list for anyone. Can you give a link for West's winner's? Of course not. And he probably has the most of anyone. That's why you get blocked.

  • The 21% is based on real research based on 82games plus earlier years. But again, there is no official definition hence no official list. You want bogus claims, then stop putting bogus shit on my boards. SI's 60% is based on scouts research back in the 90s - I don't know what definition they used because there is no official definition. Now 21-100 is a rounded # for idiots to understand but it's the 21% that's important. Again, all the sites who have MJ's numbers are based on the ad concept

  • Again, you do not read. Who cares if ESPN or sites quotes MJ's #s based on their ad concept if Phil and MJ themselves have admitted no one ever did the research? Why do I have to repeat myself? Read. Until the NBA defines this cloudy stat and does research for all, we have no clue who has the most. But 60% is pretty good for me.

  • Here are the hard #s for lazy people who don't research before getting blocked. Since 2004, 82games' definition (last possession with 24 seconds left), KB is 14-56 for 25%. If you do a recap of his earlier years and add the shots since the article, be my guest. Now, I don't think 82games' definition is even right because a winning shot could be taken with more than 24seconds left. Hence there is no official definition and no such list.

  • According to 82games, Lebron is 17-50 (34%)and Vince is 16-51 (31%) in the same span since 2004. Since all these guys take tons of shots with little accuracy, I guess that kind of activity during the regular season all it takes to be more clutch than MJ too. Who cares about the playoffs and finals. Nice talking point.

  • Man, you don't want to stop making a fool of yourself with all these sister usernames do you? Don't worry, there is research being done on MJ's games soon since it hasn't been done before. By the way, who really even cares? For all I know, KB may probably has taken more shots since he's been playing for just as long now and he likes to shoot. But it's the % that matters. Going 25-40 is a heck of a level higher than going 25-100. There simply is no contest. Relax until the research is done.

  • @letthefactsspeak you're an idiot. i'm gonna block you too.

  • Michael Jordan isnt the most clutch player ever anymore. Kobe has 3 more game winners than mj, now at 28 (including free throw I believe.) And Kobe is only 31. This year alone he has had 3 game winners in a span of 29 days. Im sorry but this is not debatable. Kobe has more game winners than Michael Jordan. The facts speak for themselves. If you disagree-well your wrong, because kobe sits at 28. Michael at 25. Deal with it.

  • Actually, the greatest clutch players do it in the playoffs and finals. For the record, there is no game-winner statistic officially. The closest we have are SI's scouting where they had MJ at 60% and 82games where we have KB's at 21%. Now, perhaps KB has taken more shots but with a lot less accuracy like that, it's not anything truly clutch - never mind not doing it in the finals. Also, MJ's 'game-winner' list has never been officially tallied as well....

  • The list of 25-27 in sites is incomplete as MJ and Phil have both admitted no one ever really looked thru each game (the number came from an ad concept and then the shots were found, not actual research). Perhaps Jerry West has even more - who knows. But the only number that matters is 60% which is greater than his regular avg. That's truly clutch and we've seen it best in the playoffs and finals. Shooting 21-100 is ok too but it's not exactly the same thing.

  • Don't come here citing BS lists without any definition. You wouldn't want to lose your credibility.

  • @NittoBBS dont need to be clutch when your destroying everyone out there :)

  • u r all lol...mj s mj. mj s 4ever. 4 me his a perfect athlete, height and weight. i love his moves and it seems that no one can follow his legacy. greatest player in nba. kobe and james are great players but they cant compare them to mj,,,,,

  • i'm not saying that magic wasn't great, but he's not even the greatest laker to play the game. that title belongs to jerry west or as he's known here in west virginia "zeke from cabin creek".

  • what about Jordan greatest

  • back in 1999 espn named michael jordan the greatest athlete of the 20th century. jerry west is just the greatest laker.

  • i dont think jerry west is the greatest laker ever, in my opinion Abdul-jabbar and magic are better, idk how many championships the lakers won with jerry, i know the celtix took most of the rings back in jerrys era

  • In fact, Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the greatest Laker to play the game...

  • JORDAN IS THE GOD OF BASKETBALL!!

and now everybody is comparing mj to the kingjames??king with no ring!!!!hahahaha..kingjames WHO????????

  • Wow..you just don't hear crowds like that anymore..I was glued to the TV for this series after years of losses to the Pistons.

  • anyone who wants to compare lebron to MJ should really look at this and they will realize *as of right now* Lebron cant even begin to light a candle to MJ...not even close!

  • @sh0rtymac85 real shit right now he wont! when yoou watch jordan you see things you dont really see anymore in the nba like you see the hustle the will power drive to win, and above all clutchness.. lebron i believe will someday be better as long with derrick rose, these guuys just need to go a micheal jordan camp and man up lol

  • oooh wee mike walked at 7:21 hahaha

  • wow amazing to watch those two battle it out and witness the bulls dynast in the making. thanks for the vid

  • wtf was that last shot, tht was halfway down cmon man.

  • Jordan's clutch shot at the end is the unluckiest shot i've ever seen...

  • yeah...if he made it,it will be Bulls beat Lakers 4-0

  • I remember this game. One of those games you 'remember where you were'. This was probably my favorite nba series ever. Incredible 'feel good success' experience and a true 'passing of the torch' from Magic to MJ. Wonderful series and incrediblely exciting. Very transcendent series in all kinds of ways. Sounds corny, but it was kind of a 'honor' to watch it. Timeless classic...Made you feel like there was still 'something good' out in the world...

  • No doubt jaboo, the 91 team was hungry and had an impressive playoff run 15-2. But the 92 team faced a hungry knicks team where 3 of there losses came from. Bottom line is we can argue about this forever and all the teams were good. But the 91,92,96 team were the best.

  • No one talks about the 92 Bulls that team was coming a championship and they were cocky and knew nothing could stop them. I think the 92 team is the best out of the Bulls 6 championship teams and one of the greatest ever.

  • u know what the 92 and the 97 teams don't rarely get talked about. But I think the 91 team to me was a stronger defensive team. For both of the 91 and 92 teams it was a tale of 2 seasons within a season. 91 the Bulls didn't get off to a strong start, finish the regular season strong with 61 wins and a dominate playoff run 15-2. The 92 season in which they almost won 70 games but struggled in the postseason 15-7.

  • I agree with all you nothing like NBA on NBC

  • Michael jordan is simply the best ever!

  • yah the 1996 team did win like 5 more games, but I think there were better teams in the early 1990's. Detroit had won the previous 2 championships. The New york Knicks had a team that would have won at least 2 championships if not for the bulls. Plus the Lakers were amazing too.

  • that 1991 Bulls team might have been the greatest team ever- All of the players were in their prime. They only lost this game in the whole playoffs. They swept Detroit as well

  • i think the 1996 Bulls were the best ever..

because Pippen had reached his highest level in the previous 2 seasons when Jordan was retired. and Jordan had made it a point to prove himself again that year. and not to mention that Ron Harper and Dennis Rodman were as good as they ever were

  • They lost also game 3 in philadelphia, MJ scoring 46 pts.

  • NBA on NBC = epic

  • Jordan and Pippen were flawless on their give and go's

  • I love seening those 2 on a fastbreak

  • this is when it really started. mike had been the best player in the league for a few years by this time, but now had to prove he could get it done in the finals vs another legend. not only did he do that, but in quite impressive fasion. mike GOAT.

  • When the NBA was at its best... on the court and the TV

  • Man I remember when NBC had this intro back in the day it was so cool to watch. Marv Albert looked a lot different this was fun watching the NBA. Jordan and Magic

  • only a god can do so many monster dunks. or set them up MJ made basketball what it is.

  • Jordan's greatest performance.

  • JORDAN YOUR THE KING OF B-BALL

  • Why can't ABC have intros like this one? It makes you feel that your part of something big!!

  • how did that shot not go in?

  • Cause there is only one NBA on NBC

  • KoBE IS NO MJ

  • @kwiktrip1 cause he's better :D ?

  • @kwiktrip1 THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  • @kwiktrip1 you're right kobe is no MJ...he's better!

  • That was the time when NBA has all the ingredients to make an incredible story.

  • I miss that NBA on NBC theme song!

  • nba is nothing like this anymore dam i hope tha lakers win tonight

  • man i wish the nba was still this exciting

    great vid hoops

    MJ-the greatest ever

  • yo 4:08 was disgusting, also marv albert calling the jordin in his prime

  • The NBA theme song on NBC was, and will always be, the sickest. Also, the part where the NBC logo is lazered in, that stuff was awsome.

  • I was thinking the same thing!!!

  • i love your videos dude....

u may love mj more den me...

  • LMAO. Pippen almost hit that last shot. Jordan was fuckin' amazing this game. I haven't seen this game since it happened.

  • God I hate The NBA on ABC on ESPN. It's gotta come back to NBC - it's just gotta. Maybe with the new talent coming in with this year's draft it will get good enough to where NBC will want the NBA again.

  • I really don't care

  • Forum!!!

  • No shit! the talent has dropped...today nba is fucking gay...a bunch of tattoo faggots got no fucking skill...missed the old nba..sighs!!!!

  • Amen. The NBA died after 1998 when Jordan retired from the Bulls.

  • WE WANT NBC!!!!!!!

  • the talent level has dropped so much in the nba......

  • The league has gotten bigger since, the talent pool might be a bit diluted but there is no lack of first rate talent. No, overall, it has not dropped at all. But maybe you can explain.

  • Actually, players have gotten smaller due to the shift towards perimeters. 2007 and 2008 are the two shortest years ever in the modern era - the average dipping under 6-7 for the first time ever. The average height last year was the shortest ever at 6'-6.93". This year it's just 6'-6.98". Weights have also dipped almost 3 lbs since 1995. Gone are the big Cs and thick PFs of the defensive era. Make sure you do your research before posting.

  • I was referring to the size of the league, acutally the number of teams within the league, hence the mentioning of a diluted talent pool. The expansion teams have an impact on the level of talent per team, inevitably. And I would not equate bluntly size of players with talent.

  • Thanks for the clarification! My apologies.

  • That's okay. The wording was ambiguous, I should have phrased it better.

  • I remember thinking after this game that the Lakers experience was going to be the key factor in the series. With the Lakers able to pull out the close games I thought the Bulls would need to go through a heartbreaking series before winning a championship and would then become the league's dominant team.

Well...I was half-right! They dominated from game 2 until 1998!

  • frig. Gimme that NBA on NBC ringtone!

  • ahh, the glory days! i remember watching this stuf when i was, like, three.

  • none of todays stars can get so many spectacular skillfull moves that MJ got in this one game over a whole season nowadays.

  • What a great intro! NBA on NBC was the best. I don't know what ABC is doing.

  • Michael Jordan the G.O.A.T

  • jordan is one of those players who are unstoppable.

  • you cant stop air jordan. true

    but i live&die in l.a.

  • u cant stop air jordan

  • *sings the nba on nbc theme song*

  • What a nice posting by Hoops. Contrast Michael's performance in his first Finals with Lebron's and you see who is the greatest!

  • even the greatest player of all time is human sometimes

  • Michael Jordan is in basketball what Ali was in boxing, or what Thierry Henry is in football. their perfomance is great but their elegance is even more great

  • Legendary performance by the Greatest. Damn i miss to see him play. thanks hoops for the videos and thanks for michael jordan for the moments.

Everytime after watching a michael jordan video on you tube it made me wanna play basketball. so now, got to go coz i´ll play.

  • its the first time i saw this game. and i had the pause it for a while to comment on the dunk at 3:10. i thougth he´ll just lay it up because of the defender comming but he dunked it. Simply the great!

  • Michael Jordan LEGEND

  • All hail king Jordan!

  • All hail indeed.

  • what a day view

  • 11.4 assists per game in the series... anyone who calls him a ball hog can eat shit.
