I have a question. I bought a 33 foot steel grappling hook. But it was only 20 dollars. I know earlier comments say to get a good chain and stuff for more weight but I am only 13 years old and do not weigh much. Would this grappling hook be good for me?
@TheAssassinman2000 I cann't say friend. Really it all depends on how much equipment and everything your are holding. I wish you well but I have had no success with the cheap ones.
Is the chain portion connected to the grappling hook necessary? Other than the obvious function does the chain prevent fraying of the rope on the edges of objects like corner or a cliff? Is it stealthy sound wise and if not can it be minimized using material interlaced between the links without impact to performance?
ya man its all good, i woulda commented on your other videos but commenting was disabled, but yur first grappling video was hilarious, and not at all in a bad way, makes yur videos that much funner to watch, and how far of a fall was that out of the tree? it didnt sound like it was very fun :(
nice training. i had mine with me on my camping trip vid but i brought so much stuff that i couldnt train it all. i want to go practice throws and climb some not so scary stuff. 5 stars

Well I am an extreme climber but I usually don't wear anything but clothes so I am hoping this will work. By the way these videos are great.

Yes you could use other materials, I just chose the chain because I had it and it can hold like 300+ pounds.

Yeah I mean you could climb really high but I would not want to since it is dangerous.
