  • holy fuc!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT BLACK DUDE in like the middle of the video is my teacherrrrrrrr holy sheittttt

  • i am in tang soo do and a green belt 2nd stripe permanent. sparring and brick breaking are awsome to me!

  • Those big guys from the left were doing a pretty good job. Reminds me of my training. I am scheduled to test for E-Dan in April 2011. Was that 1 12x12 for each foot on the double jump front kick? We are required to break 2 on each. Those of us over 40 can opt out for a 5 point break at 2 12x12 each. My goal is to perform both! Keep up the good work. Tang Soo!

  • Just a polite reminder that there is no such thing as a black belt in Tang Soo Do only midnight blue. This reflects the concept that Hwang kee believed, black represents perfection and that no person can be perfect. These concepts of humility and constant studentship are a key part of tang soo do. Congrats to everyone but be sure to wear your MIDNIGHT BLUE BELTS with pride

  • @tank4805 every single one is different. mine for instance, amaa, has black belts

  • @tank4805 LOL You are very much like my husband. He is also one to point out details. You are right, it is considered midnight blue. We generally refer to it as a "black belt" (i.e. Black Belt Class, Tournament Black Belt Division, & in casual conversation.) But still, I stand corrected. :)

  • @tank4805 we use black belt in class and midnight blue in testing, tournaments, demonstrations and things like that

  • @tank4805 Im pretty sure the midnight blue belts are between gups and dans called cho dan bo or black belt candidates dude. Once you get you midnight blue belt you have to wait a minimum of 1 year to test for 1st dan black belt or chokiyonim. There are 10 dan or black belt ranks after the midnight blue belt level. This is from the world tang soo do association.

  • this looks like a studio iv been too. where is this testing? i tested for my 2nd degree in 2007 in the bartillville oklahoma studio. we did pretty much the same things as you guys did

  • This video brought back a flood of memories. I practiced Tang Soo Do for 10 years in Columbus, OH. Unfortunately i was unable to continue my training, but was able to earn the rank of E-Dan. I was able to study under Masters (pardon my spelling) Cheverini, Bruno, Murtaugh, Kelley, Noble, Leach, and of course Master Kim. If any of you see this, Thankyou for all the training and I hope to get into it again.
