I know this tune damn good, because I whistled (!) it at Sydney's Circular Quay at least 500 times in my 12 years of busking... (public performance). Check out my YouTube recordings.
Albeit this recording is pretty good I prefer the organist Klaus Wunderlich's version.
The Hammond Organ is such an under-appreciated instrument these days because of all the newer and over used electronic keyboard sounds and sampling, it deserves it's most important place in the pantheon of popular music.
Answering some questions: The fun of making this was just to visually make something develop out of almost nothing - a photo. The original music was organ, bass and drums. I played the other instruments sounds you hear and the intro music. Thx for so many nice comments.
A brilliant idea and executed very well. In the beginning I didn't expect much, but then it kept getting better and better--I particularly liked the rollercoaster, it caught me entirely offguard. Great work!
La mejor manera de achar a perder una extraordinariacancion, es como semejante basura de fondo. Walter Wonderly es solo y su organo. Quien seria el palurdo que la hecho a perder con semejante proqueria...
"Samba de Verão" is the original title of this song, in Portuguese, composed by the Brazilian brothers "Marcos Valle and Paulo Sérgio Valle". The Brazilian Diva of "bossa nova", Astrud Gilberto, was very successful singing the English version, called "So Nice" ("Summer Samba"), as well as the Portuguese version. Here, the instrumental version, by the Brazilian Master of Hammond organ, Walter Wanderley! I´ve to thank M-A.for sharing this video!Greetings from Brasil!

Don't try this with just any organ. Ocean waves, submersion in saltwater, roller coaster,... Is this a testament to the durability of the B3?
