Incredible virtuosity and amazing approach compared to the run of the mill diatonic offerings. I pray you're in heaven Chris! Sorely missed but what a great legacy you have left us.

Superb tone, and considering that there are no covers nor hand effects, quite amazing. Apparently other players do what they can, and Chris does what he wants :)
chrismichalek, you're a GREAT jazz diatonic harmonica player. I thank very much my friend Christian Mascret (harmonicajazz in YouTube, from France)for inviting me to see and listen to your so wonderful work. God bless.
Hello Chris, it is very interesting to watch and listen to your videos. Please would you mind to tell us the software you are using for back-tracking your harp playing? I think it could be also a tremendous help for improving our playing. You show it in the video entitled A blues based intro to playing 11th position. Thank you.
Chris, from an instructional perspective, was very interesting to see you playing without the cover plates as could actually see your mouth and lips and where they were harmonica during runs. With cover plates on, can't see a thing.
Can't put down the Bb you built for me. Have now mastered surfing the net, listening to a tune, and practicing all at once! It seems that less than conscious repetition is a useful skill improvement approach? :-)
I stopped listening to other harmonica players about 15 years ago. I'm not saying I NEVER listen to them but I don't sit down and try to learn what they are doing.
I spend lots of time listening to strings, sax, flutes, guitar and bassists.
Awesome job Chris, I loved that carlos del junco style lick around 3:20. I could listen to those jazzy runs all day. Thanks for being like my #1 inspiration right now.

Foi uma das melhores apresentações de harmonica que ja vi em toda a minha vida. Me emocionei. Parabéns.

I make the backing tracks in Band in a Box or I use Jamey Aebersold tracks.

I think yours here is the same kindo' harp that young guy was carrying when walking down the street the day he met Mary Lou and her sister.

Sounds nice the sound would be much warmer with the cover plates though...... Like what your doing here :)
I would like to hear your own rendition of a joe satriani tune... perhaps if you felt like it do a vid on it?
