If you know anything about boxing you should know that there is a lot of politics involved. Many people here and all over forget that lennox refused to join Don king promotion and that was the reason he did not fight many of the bigger names earlier. It wasn't until he literally kicked down the heavy weight door that many of the boxers he wanted to fight earlier chose to fight him; not because of choice but because he was now in command. FYI: Lennox is more dynamic than Tyson.

Lewis did not have a meaningful fight until the end of 1991 around the sametime Mike was heading to prison until 1995. When Tyson got out the only fight that made sense was Holyfield and that is why he fought the Mathises and the Seldons as tune-ups for Holyfield. After the Holyfield fights, Mike was gone until 1999, then gone for another year after 2000.

i maybe be wrong, but it is of course only my opinion. so tyson was way past his prime when he fought lewis, i doubt he even cared about winning, he just wanted the money. young mike was pure destruction, fast & furious:d, combination of power and speed with great technique, but i think lewis would still beat him. it would be an ugly fight, but lenox would succed in keeping the distance and eventually clinching with mike. sorry for any mistakes, english is my second language

Tyson lost to Holyfield twice, Lewis never lost to him. Tyson took 5 rounds to beat botha, it took Lewis only 2. Tyson took 7 rounds to beat Ruddock, Lewis took 2. Tyson never beat an opponent who beat Lewis, but Lewis beat 2 opponents who beat Tyson. At age 37 Lewis beat V. Klitschko. At age 38 Tyson was beaten by Danny Williams who then lost to V. Klitschko.

If you know anything about boxing you should know that there is a lot of politics involved. Many people here and all over forget that lennox refused to join Don king promotion and that was the reason he did not fight many of the bigger names earlier. It wasn't until he literally kicked down the heavy weight door that many of the boxers he wanted to fight earlier chose to fight him; not because of choice but because he was now in command. FYI: Lennox is more dynamic than Tyson.

@IRONMIKEHHH thats funny cause the documentary i saw was the one when mike admitted that he gained a healthy respect for lennox when he tried to knock him out whilst sparring in the catskills, lennox just shook his head and went on to give him a hammering that he never forgot , do you not think thats why his handlers paid lennox to step aside when he was a mandatory challenger for mikes title..

@chris6zep do you know something i don't know cause as far as i know when Lennox retired he was still the champion, i didn't say he was never beaten cause anyone with any knowledge at all knows that he lost the title twice but after regaining in it he retired unbeaten so get your facts right.

@180paddyT without going back and having a look i'm sure i said that Lennox retired as an undefeated champion if i didn't that's what i meant, point is i know he was beaten twice ( thats there for all to see ) thats how he became a 3 time champ, yes rocky is the only heavy to remain unbeaten and holmes was absolutely underated, finally Lennox beat himself agains both Mcall and Rahman, Mcall caught him cold and Lennox totally underestimated Rahman's punching power.

@dewy9uk You are a boxing ignoramus and know nothing about boxing. Tyson never ducked Lewis. Lewis was not even a pro until 1989. Lewis did not have a meaningful fight until the end of 1991 around the sametime Mike was heading to prison until 1995. When Tyson got out the only fight that made sense was Holyfield and that is why he fought the Mathises and the Seldons as tune-ups for Holyfield. After the Holyfield fights, Mike was gone until 1999, then gone for another year after 2000.

@dewy9uk So, you can see a fight with Lewis was actually rushed in 2002. Tyson had only one fight against Nielsen to prepare for Lewis. That is not much of a tune-up for a guy like Lewis. He needed at least 5 tune-ups with stiffer competition on every fight. If you knew boxing like I do, you would knoe that. I think you need to study more fights before commenting here, or close your account to reduce further humiliation because of your lack of boxing knowledge.
