would love to pay for one...shipping and handling too...fantastic job, best idea...great video! thanks for sharing! very interested! We live in an apartment, very hard to have all the tools needed. proudlionartistry@gmail.com
Can you tell me how you attached the smoke stack? like what you used. I just got the same Ammo box and I am making into the same type of thing thanks :)
I live in a cabin I've built, and I just wanted to thank you for providing the foundation for the woodstove im building within the next week. Mine might be a bit different, based on my needs, but your example here is a GREAT start for me. Not only that, but I learned something you might not have expected to teach. Take great care every step of the way, and the end result will be competent, useful, and good lookin'! Thanks again!
The best homemade one I've seen, look into my video's, you'll find a factory made one for tips..20mm ammo hot box stove pt 1 and 2. Part 2 has the measurements in it . The top grill in mine is high enough to take up the slack of the rubber seal being taken out and the clamp downs for the top still work. Good Job..
very professional looking. Looks large enough to hold a nice sized pot to cook ontop of the stove. You need legs on that, but i've seen many just rest them on logs for inside a tent use. The heat these thing genrate would worry me sitting on logs in case they catch on fire while you sleep lol. Thanks for sharing, it's a great design.
@crysta555 check out 'Ammo box wood stove 3 FINAL', you'll find those legs! And indeed it cooks a great stew, you do need a pan with a large flat bottom to absorb max heat. Thank for your comment!
@bengt27 aha ok . i checked some dump stores and surplus stores but the only boxes i find are made of wood :( i have to look more .. thanks for the advice
I got it from a hardware store, it is a galvanized pipe 1m long 10cm diameter. It is not exactly what i wanted, because I'm still looking for 0,5 m lengths to fit in the stove for transport. You could try shop that sells woodstoves? good luck!

you should have a fine steel mesh that you can wrap around the stove pipe cover to act as a spark arrestor.

@bengt27 Be careful with galvanized pipe it gives off fumes if it gets too hot.
