I know this is an old video and you're better now, but I'm extremely impressed by how smooth all your patterns are. Is this just from a lot of practice, or did you get some kind of instruction? Are there any tips you can give me to increase my "smoothness" specifically?

@fattymcfatsofat I can't really say, to be honest. It's either a lot of practice or just my personal style. I don't practice all that much, so I'll go with the latter. I do feel that I put a lot of mental effort onto moving my hands with the balls, and maybe that contributes. Try practicing tossing a ball up and catching it in a fork as smoothly as you can. The idea would be to get used to the acceleration of the ball as it falls, and get your hand to mimic that.
Some moves like fake columns also emphasize this sort of motion. This should lead to smoother catches and your motions will end up carrying the balls more smoothly out of and into their flights. That's all I can really think of. Good luck, thanks for the support!
Great, simply great. I know this is kind of weird, but my favorite pattern was the time-reversed factory, I just thought that looked really cool. Anyway, great job.
Are you sure that's reverse Rubenstein's Revenge? It looks like Romeo's Revenge to me - the two in the middle are reverse of Rubenstein's, but the U-ball isn't reversed. There are actually four basic Revenge patterns - two with the regular U-ball (Rubenstein's and Romeo's), and two with the reversed U-ball (reverse Rubenstein's and reverse Romeo's).
Hmm, that's interesting. I didn't really put that much thought into that part, I just figured that since the two-ball segments of romeo's and rubenstein's are the reverses of each other, the entire tricks must be. By 'reversed U-ball portion', do you just mean having the U-ball on opposite sides than usual? I never thought of that. Cool, thanks!
Correct. Instead of throwing it crossed underneath, you would throw it same-side and catch it crossed underneath. Also note that you curve the U-ball outside-to-inside for aesthetic reasons, so you would want to curve the reverse U-ball inside-to-outside.
I don't think I've ever seen anybody do either of the reverse Revenges, and I certainly can't yet - I've just got them conceptualized. You are a better juggler than I, so if you figure it out, I would love to see a tutorial.
the backwards take-outs and sandbox shuffle are so crazy! im just wondering wut u did with that multiplex move, just after the reverse take-outs! its really cool doing it, then backwards! wicked juggling gnome!
Cappy won't be up for time reversals anytime soon, but Cappy wanted to write and say that he really likes your juggling tutorial videos. The glowing blue balls are absolutely brilliant and you've obviously put a lot of time and effort into everything. Especially this one which has really cool music.
Can't believe I just found your account this morning, it's got some really nice tutorials on it! I've been fiddling around with some time reversals too, and find they're really fun.
Maybe it's a little nitpicky, but the throw at 1:39 should be over your left shoulder and caught behind the left side of your back by your right hand. That would make it a reverse backcross rather than a frontcross.
I realize this video is old, so apologies if you figured that out long ago =P
Haha, someone did point that out a while back, and you're both right. I still haven't really tried doing a legitimate reverse backcross, but I should get around to it someday. Happy juggling!
lmao that is freaking wicked!!@!@!@!! nice juggling and lol on the shuffle =]. but id also like to say thank you for the tips on the lefty shower and for the help with the box. i have currently mastered them both and moved on to the 4 ball. 5/5
Thanks, I've already looked at it, but I just started juggling and I'm not good enough for that one yet. I'm glad I found your videos though, because they're ridiculously helpful. I can do a regular cascade, and I can do a (very bad) Mill's Mess. I'm also working on the box, but I'm doing poorly. Having a hard time throwing vertically. I'm gonna take a break from the box right now and attempt a windmill since I'm doing decent on Mill's Mess. Again, thanks for the videos!~ ^^
You're welcome, I'm really glad they're helpful for you! I would definitely not expect too much from your box yet, it's a fairly difficult pattern that I myself am still a bit rough around the edges with. The shower is a good lead-up to box patterns. You should explore the yo-yo variations, which will lead to the machine, lots of one-up-two-up stuff and even boston mess. Windmills are also great to work on. Good luck!
dam i thought id learnt reverse mills mess. iv learnt some other variant... of which i can do a 4 ball mills mess variant haha. back to learning then.
The normal trick is called the weave, and the other is, I suppose, the unweave.
I might be able to do a tutorial for the weave at some point, but I'm not so sure about making a tutorial for the reverse pattern. It was very hard to pull off, much less teach someone else to do, haha.
Alright, that was probably a hyperbole, haha. I did get a pretty bad headache, though. I popped some tylenol and lay down for a bit to stop the pounding, but it was still affecting my concentration afterwards.
I don't have them anymore, but the ones I did have knocked me completely out. All I could do was go "uhnn..." - literally. I couldn't walk, talk, sit up, eat or even keep my eyes open. It was like being asleep and in constant agony, but awake and conscious. For an entire day.
Haha, you're right! I'm still learning how to catch behind my back, so I didn't notice the different trajectory there. Thanks!
I didn't give much thought to rubenstein's, to be honest, I just did Romeos because I noticed that the two center balls are backwards of each other. Not really sure how the third ball figures in. I'll look into it some more.
Hehe, your reverse of the back cross was more like the reverse of a crossing shoulder throw. Other than that, good stuff! ^3

A migraine? Do you know what that is? And if you did, how could you juggle or let alone stand up afterwards?

It depends on the level of the migrain I guess.

Time reverse patterns have a bunch of potential. Nice editing on the last trick.
BTW, after the backcross you do a reverse shoulder throw, and for the Rubenstein's Revenge you need to do the arm swirling one catch earlier.
