  • This is beautifull! I really love it! And and love the poem, of course!! I miss Jeremy so much... Thank you very very much for posting it! Greetings from Argentina!

  • To anyone aout there whom may shed some light on this : There are two instances in which Holmes, once to Lestrade and on another, at the end of the episode, to a very young girl; say Thank You twice, first aloof, immediately followed by a more humble, sincerely inflected tone. Please help me find them. Many thanks!

  • whats the music in the background from...2:00 to 4:07?

  • OMG! I am moved to tears! Jeremy and Edward are at their best and the music you mixed with this is simply amazing. I recognized it from the very first chord, but it never sounded this magnificent with Narnia movie. And the end... I just have no words. It is not an easy task to make me cry, but you succeeded. Thank You so much for this wonderful experience.

  • This was a really powerful episode, and Brett was awesome in it (as usual)! He is no doubt the best Sherlock Holmes ever.

  • wheres the rest?

  • Was watching this again. Love how Holmes is like "Eep! She's hugging me! Get it off! DON'T TOUCH ME!" For some reason that make me laugh out loud.

  • I remember seeing this when it first aired on KERA (local PBS station.) I've often wondered if Holmes is a high-functioning Autistic (like Aspergers) thanks to the way he reacts when the woman hugs him. It's very much like he can't stand to be hugged, like it overloads his circuits or something.

    Sigh... I miss Mr Brett...

  • you that makes sense i have aspergers and i am a big SH fan and u dont know when just watching this series or movies (havent got to book just yet) and u cant image the similarities between the way he is and me i could write a book. like how people with autism or aspergers have special knacks for things like i for writing my dad for building or like holmes with detecting

  • Oh, I've always thought Holmes was probably borderline Aspie. I'm sure that's part of why I always loved him so much; he seems to have exactly the same package of neurological glitches that I do! (Except unfortunately I am not a genius. Pity).

  • I don't think I've ever been so overawed by a video before. I had just seen 'The Abbey Grange' for the first time, and seeing this... I could feel it in my chest. The editing was superb, and subsequently the music gripped you by the heart and lifted you and overwhelmed you and truly took hold. The video powerfully demonstrated Jeremy's amazing abilities--he takes hold of you as the music does. Ending on Sherlock's complete inability to handle the thanks was a lovely touch.

  • i was wondering, anyone know the name of the theme that was used when the captain and the girl he liked was dancing....not the theme played in this video...in the original one, when the captain talks about how he met the lady of his life...its a very romantic tune..anyone know plz, i would be very grateful :)

  • If i watch your videos i always get goose bumps :-)

    6:00-6:25 is epic !!! 6:19 i haven't realised that on dvd ;-)

    JB is just the best!

    Thank you

  • Jeremy played the "beautiful little boy" role so well, the kind that butched it up when needed. If indeed he was going for homoerotic there... he did it perfectly. Also, pushing away the woman at the end with such disgust of female touch... brilliant!

  • brett was beautiful, like his portrayal of sherlock. simply fantastic

  • 6:19 ^^_^^

  • Jeremy is *amazing*, of course, but people tend to forget how excellent David Burke and Edward Hardwicke were as Watson. For my money, Hardwicke is slightly better, but we're talking degrees of awesome here. What a shame Brett's illness cut the series short, with some of the best stories left to be filmed. A truly great actor.

  • They don't make them like Jeremy Brett anymore, do they? Bravo video, my friend.

  • Oh my God, why is it I'm only watching this video now? It's epic! Brilliant! Straight to my favourites, and 5*

  • ''Jeremy's eyes alone could tell the story''

oh RJ u r so right ... I wish, I really REALLY WISH if he could have looked at me just once so for me to be able to see his adorable eyes :)) (ps: sorry for my English but u know what I meant)

thnx for not letting JB to be forgotten :))

  • 6:19 I half anticipated that guy trying to kiss Sherlock Holmes.

    Great vid.

  • tout simplement génial!!!!^^

  • Thank you very much, PLbrettfan! :)

Very kind of you and I appreciate it. ^_^

  • The Hawkish gaze cannot take a warm embrace of passion. Such sudden burst of sensation is like a remainder in the equation of logic.

  • ooops! I thought I had commented on this fabulous video but clearly I hadn't. I was at Charlotte's at the time and clearly just commented to her instead. Oh dear one shouldn't feel jealous of another's talents but I have to admit right now I do feel a tiny bit jealous. Needless to say this video is... well great of course! ^_^

  • LOL I do it all the time, no worries, my friend. :)

I am behind yet again in watching and commenting.

Oh, thank you very much, that is such a lovely thing to say, and I really appreciate it.

    Many thanks, truly... ^_^

  • I love the way you've played with the colours and the music *muah* Lovely!

He could fill a suit nicely. I think this was one of his finest moments. I always loved his "masked smile."

    Absolutely beautiful poem as well!

  • My friend, it means a great deal to me that you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the beautiful comment. :)

Oh yes, Jeremy looked scrumptious, didn't he?! *faint*

    Thank you! ^_^

  • You made my day yet again! Honestly, your videos never let one down. Your choice of music was excellent and went really well with the clips. And I simly loooooooooooooooooove JB's Sherlock's reaction to the suprise hug, he's like "Whooooooooooa girl! I know I'm irresistable but hold your horses!!!!!"

  • I meant to say SIMPLY, not simly.... :)

  • Wonderful to hear from you, dear goofywitch! :)

Such a lovely thing to say, thank you most sincerely.

I would have terrible trouble "holding my horses' I can tell you. LOL I'm simply sure I couldn't hold them long at all ^_^

  • "Beauty may be truth but she does not speak it..." I love that observation made by Holmes. Love the video!

  • I love that line as well. :)

Many thanks, Cherri59, I'm very happy you enjoyed it! ^_^

  • A masterpiece yet again. Great music from Chronicles of Narnia powerful stuff. First time Jeremy filmed with Edward & you can see the relationship already developing. I always loved that closing sequence with the hug too. What fantastic acting to almost return the hug and then pull back. Many thanks xx

  • And many thanks to you, tilley152! :)

Yes, I agree with you re Jeremy & Edward, also the hug.

Jeremy is simply splendid, as always.

I'm very happy you enjoyed it, and thank you again! ^_^ xx

  • One more excellent and sssssplendid video! Thank you!

  • Rhiannonstardust, you are always so sweet. :) Thank you very much indeed! ^_^

  • This video is sooo great! The Abbey Grange is a fantastic episode, and Jeremy looks absolutely marvellous and enchanting in it! I like the ending scene so much, Holmes seems really so embarrassed and confused, that I just want to HUG him...But wait a minute, the cause of his condition is a HUG by a woman...What should I do? Help, please! :))))

Your poem is very touching, and the video goes into my favs. Thanks!

  • Oh, I couldn't agree with you more, hungarianjbfan, re Jeremy being 'enchanting'.

What a beautiful word to describe him. :)

I'm happy you enjoyed it, and I thank you most sincerely. ^_^

I would hug him as well..LOL

  • *feels a sudden desire to watch abbey grange too*

Such a lovely comment you left as well,

thank you so much, dear lafem. I really appreciate it. ^_^

  • The Abbey Grange is my favourite eps,I often watch it at night.

I think,Jeremy in the Abbey Grange was attractive more than he in the Navy Treaty.

  • I love watching Jeremy at night! :)

It is also one of my faves, and I believe you are correct.. if it is possible to be more attractive...LOL

I might faint thinking about it.

    Thank you, LandladyHudson! ^_^

    Wonderfully conveying... the FORCE...

  • I appreciate it very much, my friend!

I try to do the best that I can for our dear Jeremy, as you know.

    Thank you most sincerely. :)

Oh yes, he is 'the force' indeed!

  • Oh, well!!!... I suddenly feel this strange desire to watch the "Abbey Grange" tonight, now, where might that come from??? *wonders*

Wonderful, my friend, as always!!!! An excellent choice of music, and you give us this treat with showing all those (...) facial expressions and looks into those eyes!

The combination of footage and sounds creates suspense marvellously, and you've done something interesting about the colors, too!! (tbc)

  • Oh, I melt when looking into those expressive eyes of his. Such a magnificent man...sigh...

Ah, the colors, well that is why I thanked dear ColdnessHolmes in the description.

He generously shared his knowledge with me, which allowed me to be able to remove color only keeping reds, or in some places, greens. Thank you so much for noticing. :)

I really am so happy you enjoyed it, and once again, thank you, dear Nunewesen! ^_^

  • Oh that was lovely !! Makes me want to watch Abbey Grange all over again !!! :) Loved the poem and its so true !! :) Rebecca and I have been enjoying two nights of Jeremy and I Just come to appreciate even more of how good an actor he was.
