Sweet. I've just bought one of these for £40 on Ebay. I'm gonna strip it down, add a load of detail then repaint it Hoth style!

i had two of these (vintage ones) - one of which was boxed, complete with inner cards, instructions, chin guns and un-used stickers!!! We sold it a few years ago - still have the unboxed one.

not impressed. they re-released this and didn't morotorize the front cannons? that should have definitely happened. the head isn't to scale either. neither was the first but that's ok. here they re-released it AGAIN with a giant head. who cares if you can fit 2 guys in there, it should be to scale. and I agree the side hatch should sit 90 degrees. it looks nice and the sound effects are nice but for such a big and important figure they basically didn't make it half as cool as the x-wing

Just to clarify things a bit, this is the AT-AT that delivered Luke Skywalker to Darth Vader at the Empire Landing Platform. It can be seen by searching for a video called "Vader the Barbarian", in which James Earl Jones' dialog from Conan the Barbarian is looped into Darth Vader's mask.

Well, it's really a great piece, but after 25 years of making this toy, starting with the original Empire Strikes Back vehicle issues, it still looks somewhat out of scale. Of course, it is principally a child's toy, but recently LEGO released a scale version of The Millenium Falcon perfectly suited to their 1 1/2 inch high Lego Mini Figures, and it turns out to be nearly 3 feet in diameter! One wonders how large an AT-AT would have to be at the standard Action Figure scale.

There was one in return of the jedi. Near the platform where the imperial shuttle lands. They have done the Hoth one before and I am sure we will see it again. These would be pretty easy to repaint tho or just spray with a can of santa snow hehehe

for your endor scene, get the endor ultimate battle pack (if you haven't already), that comes with, han, chewie, a black ewok, wicket the ewok, a stormtrooper, two scout troopers, an at-st driver, two logs and an endor at-st, theres also a hoth one if your doing a hoth scene, SithLord229 has done a review of the hoth one

I have the Hoth's AT-AT, it's really awesome, the way I got it is kind of funny, I went to a friend's ranch and I saw it, I kind of like fell in love with the AT-AT and I was bothering him to sell it to me, he agreed and I got it for 20 bucks :P

I think they figure that you can stand the AT-AT next to something tall enough, so the fold down door would lay flat across, be a good walking platfrom from the AT-AT to something else.

This is cool, good presentation, but I'll wait to scrape up the money and get the HOTH version myself.

G'day mate, hasbro has already made a hoth AT-AT it was released a few years back in "the power of the force 2" line, it too had two figures AT-AT driver and General Veers with lines from ESB, Good review on the endor AT-AT but you forgot to mention that the canons on the front light up and make firing sounds if you push and pull hard enough
