Ok I know there is a program that allows you to drag programs from windows to OS X and Linux and vice versa, I think it was called shift or something. Anyone know?
4 years and NO updates on this project. Download Synergy +. It is done by different developers, but it is updated more often. Chris (the developer of this original Synergy project) said he was working on 2.0......but that was back in 2008. If ya'll want this same thing, but a program that is actually updated and a forum the handles bug support, check out Synergy +.
Yes, you can use it between any 2 computers with the same OS. I use XP Home SP2 on my host computer and XP Home SP3 on the client computer. I've actually been having problems. When I go from my host computer to my client, the mouse on the client becomes very slow lags. I tried switching the two SP2 being the client and SP3 being the host, but the same thing happens...the mouse lags on the client still. Anyone else have problems with this?
@spikeysam71 what you need to do is this: when you add "screens" under configuration, add one screen for each of your two computers. KEY: Make sure that the name of the screenis the same as the name you gave your computer when you set up Windows (e.g. "Sam's PC" or whatever.
That's quiet interesting being able to use one mouse for two totally different computers. I'm not sure what I could use that for unless I couldn't afford a mouse :-) but it is an interesting thing to see.
I know you can have two monitors plugged into the same computer but can u really have 2 operating systems running on the same computer and going at the same time while one operating system is running on one monitor while the other one is running on the other monitor?
just because i only know the basics of how a computer works does not make me an idiot because lets say for example you didnt know anything about football but i did that doesnt make you dumb and me smart. so you can go fuck yourself you bushy emu fucker
i didnt say emus were native to southern california and maybe your just one of those emu fuckers that do it once a year in another country. i dunno coz i dunno much about emu fuckers like yourself

maybe you don't have a lot of space for two keyboards and mouses.

i use three computers (one laptop 2 pc's) and it gets very crowded and confusing when dealing with 2 keyboards and 2 mice. try it.

I need it for my mouse. Only one USB mouse but dont have two screens instead I use a KBM switch and it lets me switch screens to another PC.
