@EATIT41 As far as i'm concerned, a starting contest is not a "how long can you go without blinking contest" its about concentration and not looking away from the eyes of the other person, blinks are acceptable otherwise our eyes dry out and you'll go nuts, as long as the blinks are quick they are allowed
I love how poor Conan tries to keep it together when he sees his parents and grandparents going at it, but only when Max joins in does he completely lose it.
What's so awesome about this is that for once, Andy is barely reacting to the freaky stuff going on behind Conan. . .
And when the freaky stuff starts happening behind ANDY, the audience starts clapping and cheering because they know Andy's FINALLY going to win this one!
These were the funniest segments Conan ever had on his show. The stuff that went on behind Conan (and Andy too in this one) was just hilarious & bizarre to the point where you just burst out laughing.
If Conan gets another show (hopefully) he needs to bring these back. Hopefully Conan will return to NY with the band & get Joel & Andy back too. NBC screwed up & gave Leno too much power to pull their strings. When he really does retire, they will be screwed.
I agree. It was a moronic decision by NBC all around, and the fact that Leno will be ready to retire for real in a few years (or he might very have to for health or other reasons), and now, they won't have anyone to replace him (I like Fallon, but he will NOT be ready) is the icing on the cake.
One of the funniest bits on the staring contest game had an astronaut walking behind Conan and he started to squirming crosslegged and holding his junk as if he had to pee and then he would stop squirming and his helmet started to fill up with piss. I think Andy lost the game right there.
FYI: The "mother" of Conan's "baby" at 6:37 is Sarah Thyre, Andy Richter's actual wife. She's an actress who is best known (by me at least) as "Coach Cherri Wolf" on the Comedy Central show "Strangers With Candy", which Andy had appeared on 3 times in minor roles.
