  • So awesome!

  • I am selling my Starcom toys on ebay if anyone's interested Still have the boxes and everything! sweet toys! nice collection!

  • i remember these toys so well, I played them for years! I bet I still have them in the attic in my parents house. Seriously good toys, toys kids have now days are rubbish compared to what we had when we were young...

used to always stick these guys to radiators :)

  • @cyrusscaboose I certainly agree, 80's toys are without a doubt the best, so many good memories. Most of today's toys are just rubbish, and over produced, they'll never be worth the same that 80's toys are worth, =D.

  • Cool collection !!

  • great toys from back in the day!! im trying to collect these again but i some how think its going to cost me , super old skool collectables

  • That horrid (awesome) wind up motor noise takes me back. Brilliant use of motors and magnet gimmicks, there hasn't been a toyline since that's been that clever with it's gimmicks. Though I wish the visors weren't so easy to break off, heh.

  • @Mintzaigar It's one of those sounds that take you back to your childhood lol. =D.

  • Great toy range!!! I started to collect these but sadly never got much, I think the range was coming to its end when I started!

  • my god..... i remember when i was still a child.... i cried so hard dat time when my mom refused to buy starcom toys for me.........

  • @sesshoumaru8181 Damn I remember being in that situation my self, sometimes it paid off lol =D.

  • OMG, I totally remember these. I remember having a friend when I was little, who had a LOT of these toys. This was very clever stuff, with magnets and windup motors. Although I agree, Transformers was even cooler, but this gets a big thumbs up from me! Totally agree with the maker of this film.

  • I can only mirror what you and others have said - these toys were WAY ahead of their time, and WAY bad-ass! I had every one of these, with the exception of the Base Station. There is a reasonable chance that they all still might be at my grandma's house. This makes me want to go tear the place apart looking for them!!!

  • I had all the starcom toys. Brilliant stuff!

  • This makes me nostalgia so hard. I was trying to remember what these were, and today i decided to try googling "scifi magnetic toy 80s". the most brilliant toys I ever had at the time, until transformers.

  • These toys were amazing, they were ahead of their times, hopefully one day thay may be re-released.

  • this is awesome ihad a plane a white one from starcom but it had a little magnet on da side so i could click more planes on it who got a of it preview

  • Great video, brings back so many memories. Stupidly I gave mine away when I was growing up, I seem to remember having the Laser Rat and HARV 7. Thing that I about Starcom toys is that even though it was an 80s toy, they were so ground breaking for the time. Just a shame they weren't as popular as other toys at the time.

  • These were my favorite toys growing up in the 80's.

All the boys in my neighborhood had these, but my parents never bought me one..

Also, RockLords, Madballs and the little Muscle Men.

  • Thanks, I still try to find these toys whenever I can, but their becoming more and more rarer these days, E Bay is your best bet.

  • nice collection i had about 90% of there toys good side and bad side im almost 30 now and this vid brings back memories i would like to see a vid of the zip wire guy or the little vehical with the wheels that open up to look like a little baja cruiser! i wish i had kept these toys like you have. i wonder if any one knows if i can still find these for sale some were for sentimental values!

  • My words exactly, they don´t make toys like this anymore and of this quality.

Look at modern toys, they all need batteries and have microchips and the quality in general is lousy, made from cheap chinese plastic. e.t.c. yet still exspensive, greed is worse now.

It was so much better then.

I have a Starcom collection too and protect it like gold.

  • TRIPOD!!!!! LIGHTS!!!!!

otherthan that its cool to see these (blurry ) we never got the comand base in the u.s.

would like to see these with better lighting (don't worry its a mistake everybody makes.)

  • Very nice collection, I have never seen the station that you have there with the decontamination room. I have almost every toy they released here in the US.

I used to mow grass as a child for money so I could buy them all. There is an amazing amount of engineering this these unique toys.

  • Cheers matey, the toys, were fantastic, I really hope Mettel re-releases the whole line some day. I'm still missing a couple like the Laser Rat and HARV 7.

  • oh so mattel holds the rights?

I was wondering what happened with starcom when coleco went away i figured it went with it .

these toys would do good now low cost (no batteries) they were the toys my mom could aford when I was young the figures were a dollor .

for the price of a gi.joe you could get a cool star-wolf w/ a pilot!

  • Yep it's Mattel, after Coleco went bust all of thier existing brands were sold of. Mattel got Starcom, they carried the toy line on for a couple of more years in Europe, the toy line ended in 1990 in Europe, I agree the toys were awesome, there's not been a toy line since then.

  • cool collection !

  • Cheers dude, may I also say what a brilliant collection you have also.

  • I don't have a Shodaow Vampire, unfortunatly, Thanks for the comments though.

  • D'oh. Are you still going to review your shadow bat and any other shadow force vehicles you have?

  • Yeah, I should be able to do a review of the Shadow Bat plus others very soon.

  • Hi DS.

Please disregard my last comment. I did'nt see that you had already answered my question on your starwolf vid till just now.

    Thanks! D:)

  • Cool starcom collection!

They really are brilliant toys with their ingenious magnetic/motorized features. They don't make'em like this anymore lol!

By the way, I have found out that the ship i mentioned before was the 'shadow vampire'. Do you have one of those too?

    D:)
