  • oh s**t

  • christmas spirit!

  • Either way, the presents are burned XD

  • Butthead: "That was the coolest thing I have ever seen" Beavis: "Fire! Fire! Fire!"

  • Thank you for showing the importance of keeping a real tree watered. It would have been nice to have seen an artificial tree as well, though!

  • my favorite video <3

  • YES, burn Christmas tree burn! 666

  • 1st one : made in china

    2nd one : anywhere else

  • burn baby burn disco inferno burn baby burn

  • A current affair brought me here :D

  • what on earth is this??!!

  • Moral of the story, don't buy a real tree, the plastic one didn't burn well. Plus rather than having to water it every day, you spend your time doing much mire important things like, watching football.

  • @Loveschuck87 : the second tree isn't plastic, it's just a tree that had been watered regularly, and therefore didn't readily burn, unlike the tree that wasn't watered enough on the left.

  • @tucknroll14435 ahhh, gotcha.

  • Atleast there were no presents harmed...

  • moral of the story; support the tree hugging groups

  • I never want my christmas tree to be on fire!

  • You see that the 2nd tree doesn't burn that much.

  • i was watching greek riots..

  • Oh no gta iv is burning lemme rescue it :D

  • Get out the weenies!!!!

  • And to think, they used to put actual candles on these things!

  • which ones the dry one?

  • waste of trees

  • Commen sense. Hommie

  • Thats why i dont get real trees i get plastic ones

  • @LandSquirrels Ever seen plastic burn?

  • yea i turned my tree lights off now

  • Just think: Which scene would you rather see when you are woken up at 4:30 in the morning by your smoke alarm...

  • Real trees are a pain - even a well-watered tree will still shed lots of needles. If you've managed to avoid a fire and don't mind cleaning up the needle mess after the holidays, there's still the problem of getting rid of it. Fake tree for me thanks!

  • Yeah but even if you do water it, it may have a sap seal (if you took more than 15 minutes getting it home after a fresh cut) preventing it from taking up water.

  • Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Chrsitmas Tree

    How crispy are your branches.......

  • ..."Hey Earl... Do you smell something? Smells like burning?"...

  • I'm getting an artificial one. The hell with real trees.

  • when I was a kid my dad made me water the tree every night.

Another plus a well watered tree is easier to clean up as it looses less needles.

  • @italianman1992,

My guess is the air in the ornaments is expanding from the heat, so they pop!

  • It even comes with ornaments/fire alarms.

  • I think I should water my presents too, just in case.

  • Always keep a fire extinguisher close to your Christmas tree. The fire on the right could easily be extinguished by a standard fire extinguisher.

  • genuine tree: pros: looks like a real tree cons: needs to be watered can be flammable fake tree: pros: safer non flammable doesn't need to be watered cons: doesn't look real pointy parts fall off, can puncture skin
  • What a waste of ornaments

  • Bet back in the day before electricity there was lot of house fires because of this.

They used to put candles on the tree instead of lights! And pine tree burns like crazy. You can get 10 foot flames by putting a bunch of branches in a camp fire, I can't imagine a whole tree in a house. No way you're putting that out once you discover it and the heat and smoke are most likely unbearable. I'd be curious to see a comparison with a fake tree and the one on the right.

  • @cmammlj but why should we off our christmas lights before going to bed when you can just lay down on a couch where the christmas lights are while you can just watch your christmas lights to make sure if it catches on fire so you can warn everyone in the house to get out?

  • @MegaZack30 , good question.

A good number of people do not sleep on the coach to keep an eye on the Christmas tree lights when there on at night.

I have a large Christmas village & I turn the lights off when I leave the house & go to bed.

Better to be safe then sorry.

  • The one on the left is a Canadian Chritmas Tree!!!Ha Cj.the musicman!!!!!

  • merry Christmas your present was you never have to clean again -_-

  • Yay! My Christmas gift was a new house! Nobody go a gift from the government! Yipee!

  • Well, this isnt helping anyone. The presents are still on fire even tho u water the tree regularly. Xmas is ruined cuz no one's getting their AK-47s with sniper scopes.

  • i've seen this video before described as a real tree compared to a fake tree.

  • oooops if forgot to water uh ohh...... CHILDREN GET IN THE CAR!!!!! HONEY CALL 911 AHHHHHHH

  • A real tree cut within a week will burn just as well. Check out the related videos. This info is not accurate and provides viewers with a false sense of security.

Real trees are full of sap!!! - Sap burns just as well as dry wood...

  • So remember, Water your trees everyone lol.

  • ive done worse

  • i just got a real tree..................

  • good video

  • fake trees suck

  • love the exploding ornaments

  • I think I'll water mine.

  • thats why i dont have a christmas tree

  • get a fake tree

  • That is really frightening! I wonder how fast artificial trees would burn?

  • Comment removed

  • In addition to being sensible with lights, it helps to cut an extra 2 inches off your tree when you get home, then stick it in water right away. Otherwise the cut edge seals and it's hard to get more water into the tree.

  • Scary! Knowing how scatterbrained I feel when I'm really busy, I think I'd be safer sticking to LED lights around the window.

  • I wonder how fast a plastic tree would burn. I think they're treated with fire retardant.

  • Real trees aren't really that dangerous of you water them, as evidenced by the video. Also, if you have real tree and light candles on them you're clearly stupid, but regular Christmas lights can cause fire on dry trees as well.

  • Where's the marshmallows?

  • We've used fake trees ever since I was a child; this is exactly why. It makes me shudder to think people used to use real trees and burn candles on them!

  • My family still uses real trees. But we didn't light candles on them. That is just stupid.

  • "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire....."!

  • what's the popping noise? I assume it's the bulbs on the Christmas lights popping? Man imagine you leave to go somewhere and you come back and half your beautiful Christmas tree is burned out. Not as worse as your house burned down though. Glad I have a fake tree with miniature lights. My aunt always gets a real one with the big C7 lights, it's such a fire hazard.

  • like China says in Hetlia ep. 31: 'Christmas trees are now banned due to their extreme flammableness.

Aaaand that's not even a word, is it? :P

  • Eeeeexactly.

    Could be. ;)

  • After watching this video I will no longer water my tree. If my house burns down I want it burning fast & awesomelike.

  • i just bought two fire extinguishers: one for my home and one for my car. only cost $60!!! get one!!!!

  • For farmersbnb2..

  • you can see the ball - balls falling off

  • so you are telling me that I am fat?!?! I AM NOT FAT!!

  • my fam has a fake tree

  • that is not fake snow uner the tree its a cloth and thers hay where the fire started thate is fake and why the hell did u decorate the tree you dum dum's

  • So pepole like you wouldn't go ''Why didn't you put on the decorations, it's not realistic whithout them!'' -.-

  • you guys look at flash over, this is why this is important

  • CHill

  • either way there is fire. and fire is bad

  • what the diffenc

  • The one on the right has been watered regularly. That's the "diffenc" ;)

  • the one on the left got pwnt

  • Here in Denmark (DK) everybody has a real tree like that one..but if you take it in very late - the day of so - it won't be any big problem as long as you make sure there is nothing above the lighst on the tree. It not enough to make sure that nothing has contact with the fire, but you also have to make sure it have at least 2" around and 5" above free.

Please do as told by the government, but do also think by yourself and be aware!!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

  • Holy crap!

  • ok so is this video suppose to be like that we should take precautions and water are trees regularly and turn of the lights a t night is that what it means like a psa

  • damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, it's important to be very careful with how you water your tree. We burn ours on New Years, after letting it purposely dry out (outside of the house!). It lights up so fast it almost looks like it explodes.

  • In denmark almost everybody hase a real tree in the livingroom.....hmmm

  • Great eye-opener

  • the tree didnt set hitself on fire ya know. fake tree's would of been even more bad. plastic fumes an all.. problem was the lights were kept on over night an over heated. lookin at the fake snow under the tree. probably got hot. an caused the fire. so its not fake tree's u want its fake lights.. stay safe. turn power off when u go to bed

  • A christmas tree can put a room into flashover in under 3 minutes. scary.

  • id rather buy a fake Christmas tree

  • i always refuse to buy real christmas trees. never trusted them, never will. fake trees all the way

  • ya and its better for the environment

  • nice

  • Merry Christmas!

  • Neither one is safe.

  • Welll, there goes the house.

  • only you can prevent chrismas fires...

  • was that a test

  • What is that for a spezial Tree? did he made it Wet?

Hey i can see the Advertisement for it:

" save your Tree to save your own Life "

  • it was only cool once so i am also never watching this again

  • that was soooooooooooo cool im never getting a real christmas tree again

  • Why I am I worried? Mine is plastic.

  • But it can still burn.

  • And that's why you water your tree.

  • lol

  • uh ok

  • man look at the flames on the dry one..

  • Wow, that's impressive and scary. I'm in an apartment so we're not allowed to have real trees. It would be interesting to see someone compare artificial to real though.

  • o wow the tree on the right did not even get burned like the one on the left lol that was funny the left tree is there popin on fire the right one just got one little burn on the bottom lol

  • wow the tree on the left didn't get incinerated, i have to keep this in mind for this year's christmas tree near my fireplace.

  • What is this comparing? Real tree against fake?

  • Looking at the description attached to the video, it's a well watered and cared for tree vs one you just stand up and let dry.

Moral of the story: water your tree.

  • This video offers a side-by-side view of what happens when a well-watered Christmas tree catches fire compared to one that has been dried out. (Both Christmas trees are real.) The tree on the left has been dried out to reflect the condition it would be in after several weeks of use without receiving water. The tree on the right is a fresh, well-watered tree that has been properly cared for and maintained.

  • Christmas Trees burning, what a beautiful sight!

  • lol but it is not funny if it is in someones house if it is outside it is funny to watch
