  • That dog looks absolutely happy. lucky dog.

  • It's absolutely adorable - in the last scene, Laurie strokes the dog (which we all notice) but at the same time, Fry's kind of stroking its tail as well.

  • Laurie never makes a very convincing woman.

  • that lab was having the time of its life

  • lol "to heat and um, keep free from damp"

  • pure genius......its so funny ....coming from a 17 year old irishman love Fry and Laurie :)

  • Peter Ferris has died.

    Oh good.

  • Is it just me, or is the camera work fantastic here? :D Also, love the gardener... XD

  • The first bit about just being the caretaker, I'm pretty sure 'Downton Abbey' borrowed word for word lol.

  • the dog is so cute

  • hugh makes such an attractive woman!!xD

  • Probably the best piss take I've ever seen about the British aristocracy

  • It is so trying to keep children from damp. *heavy sigh*

what a genious comedy ..i simply love stephen scripts and hugh acting...

  • jajaja Hugh is like a woman :P OMG!!

  • The retriever is so cute.

  • oh, to be that dog on the sofa.

  • Why do I find Hugh Laurie in drag so attractive?

  • Because he's downright sexy.

  • because he is sexy in anything!

  • The part where Hugh/Mary is throwing himself around in the garden is crazy!! XD

the retriever is so cute ^_^

and Fry's character reminds me soooo much of my uncle, he's not THAT posh but he even looks a bit like him and he has a big house, posh wife and labradors too lol

  • If any real Duke is watching this, surely you must feel the terrible strain of Aristocratic Responsibilty!, and maintaining such huge grounds must be tiresome! therefore, to assist youre lordship on the path of true Christian righteousness, I shall kindly accept all youre lands and title so you may be FREE!, to spread the word of the lord in far flung places in need of holy salvation! :)

  • There isn't one, although I beleive there is an Earl.

  • I love Fry and Laurie. They are so well matched. This is a total pisser. Genius!

  • 'It derives, I think, from some time in the seventies'

Ha ha. fantastic. Good to see the tradition is so well established.

  • Sooo funny!

  • what is so great about these two is the biting satire... its scathing and done particularly well when targeted at hypocrisy, wealth and class in the uk.

  • The golden retwiever was adorable! And Hugh was sexy as hell. ;)

  • It's not the fact that he fell over; more the unexpected absurdity of the way he does it.

  • hehe, yes, well I guess the way you're brought up is what creates your sense of humour.

  • Mr. Bean is good, but rowan atkinson has other characters, that are much funnier. You should watch 'black adder', it's also with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry.

  • I love blackadder, the third series was my favourite. Hugh Lauire was fantastic as George!

  • What a bizarre remark!..

  • Agree 100% Physical comedy doesn't do much for me. Certainly not half as much as the power of words :)

  • "...around here, in the, um, local neighborhood that surrounds the immediate environment of this nearby area in this vicinity..."

  • Just great! I love Brit humor.

  • "When I'm dead and gone and buried and no longer ALIVE" hah hah, love Stephen's accent :D

  • HA!! Privately violate!!! LOL!!!!

  • "Lost in the mists of... of... of which we get rather a lot around here."

  • i want all those dogs running about :D

  • might have to introduce some kind of claimings in my vilage.

  • When i first saw Hugh setting on the couch i thought i died but when i saw what was he doing in the garden while Stephen was talking i did die these two are dangerously hilarious.

  • i totally agree... hugh in the garden is genius

  • Love the way he tries to justify his house. "Load of old crooks" lol

  • this is so funny,

i love how much history there is in england,

    i really love it all

i wish we had that much (australia) we have only 2 hundred years worth of history then the aboriginals which we dont know as much as id like 2 :(

  • "Peter Ferrows has died." Oh good.. HAH

  • 1:23 - 1:26 Hilarious!!!!

  • Geez Hugh does a good 'old female' voice.

  • privately violate her ...

    best line ever

  • They are the funniest men alive.

  • Hahahahaha...These people are actually like this, its so accurate... once again as many have said, Fry and Laurie are genius'.

  • funny watching this you can see elements the fast show, little britain and mitchel and webb have taken. Fry and Laurie :)

  • whoever was the hairstylest on ABOFAL was really quite talented; the wigs and hairpieces, styles and dyes are all fab, it really helps create their character.

that lab hugh's petting at the end is loving it. naww.

  • @LilyMaeHouse It makes it all more believable. They look like they have been in that situation forever, not just put everything on for a small sketch.

  • Aw, that lab is really enjoying itself! :D

  • that is creepy how 'feminine' Hugh looks...lol, that labrador was cute as!

  • Fry makes an excellent duke. By the way, what's the real name of the castle?

  • laurie rocks! amazing man...as is fry.

  • Laurie is disturbing convincing as the wife!

  • Disturbingly convincing, yes. He was very good at looking like a middle aged women when he was young. Wonder if he could pull the show off, still. ;P

  • I would recommend all the seasons. Which ones have you seen?
