Ff you watch the light just infront of the barrel befor the broadhead hits it at 2:53 you can see that the broadhead is already open i have never shot these just noticed that.
I know the steel drum is not a reliable test, but they did have the blades open before they shot. They should have closed the blades because they usually break upon opening...
Back to matters at hand, theses fly like field points and penetrate like hot knives in butter. Spine shot will drop a deer on the spot heart and lungs, less than 10 seconds. Tried and tested. I'll never switch.
@theplaytillithertz the fact that my brother uses grims on his setup is the reason iam getting back into archery in the 2011 season, one thing that bothers the piss out of me though is all these hunting shows on outdoor channel or the sportsmans network all shoot rage..... there is a video here of testing all mechanical's on a steel drum, its a different vid from this one, and its awsome, the only ones that penetrated both sides and stayed intact were the reapers

Honestly, the Omen has an IBO of 366, trust me, you're not getting 366. With a 425 gr arrow, and an average hunter's set up (peep sight, silencers and a 28" draw, 70lbs,etc.) you will be lucky to break 310 fps, with your KE somewhere around 90pds.

i shoot a 60 pound black ice and have had great luck with montec but looking for somthing that would cut alittle more and ive narrowed it down to the tekan and the grim reapers what do yall sugest?
I would go with rage, if you look carefully you will see why I bought rage and not these. pause a 1:11 it's really 1 minute 11.25 seconds, you see the broad head is all the way in the animal but not opened.
this means if you make a bad shot and you get minimal penetration the blades will not be deployed because the need to be several inches in the animal before deploying.
I suggest rage because the are go in to the animal open as the hide deploys the blades, & ya can get away with bad shots

it would still go through the shoulder blade...There is a video oif a guy shooting at a steel oil drum and the grim reaper has the best exit hole...that means it went through the first part and second...It works just how they tested it with plywood its going to openno matter what it hits...
I saw that video of the other guy and he tested it with the blades open and closed, and who knows if he took a picture of the exit hole from the closed test or the open test. I also thought that I saw other broadheads in that test that penetrated better.
what is the reason for shooting the animals? do you at least eat them up afterwards?
