Thank you a synth tutorial thats actually basic..not just moving knobs and talking terms that unless you have experience one can't possibly know..Without the basic theory you got nothin..Thanks
Yeah, they are kinda buried. Look for the sticky topics in the Tutorial, Tips, and Tricks forums or click the Link menu item when you're viewing the forums.
How make a lot of variations with soft synthesizer? I try self but i can do little sounds , and sounds quality is so ****...i dont understand how professional makes very cool synth sound. how much i tried always be a bad sound. Becouse my sound aplitude a lot of 1-20 sound variations ;/ if u know what write for funkernia@gmail.com thank you very much ...
In the meantime, dissect preset patches and learn what makes them tick. That's probably the best way to learn how the parameters interact in a particular synth.
is it possible to create an orchestral string stab using the synths on reason or is it easier to patch a sample over the NNXT, this has been troubling me for a long time and would be a big help if you could talk me through it! thanks for the tutorial as well you really cleared some stuff up for me!
In Reason, you might get something along the lines of what you want from any of the synths, but if it was me, I'd just find some good mutlisamples and use the NNXT.
yeah thanks alot thats what I was thinkin, do you know any synth presets that would be a good basis to start on? I was thinkin multisamples but thats the easy option :p
My friend I am a music teacher and I have a Master in Music Technology but I NEVER someone's explained these concepts so clearly. Now I will search all the videos you have I hope there are thousends.
Thank you very much for sharing your knoledge. You're a really good teacher.
Brilliant tutorial!! I have been creating music on and off since 1992, in all that time I have never really understood the DS in ADSR and how it worked, Now thanks to you very well explained tutorial I now have it sust!

Just keep at it. You'll get there.

Yes, after years of experimenting with reason, I might just begin to understand what I'm actually doing :-)
Great explanation, and I love the follow ups on your website as well, thanks again :-)

I have a MIDI keyboard hooked up to my computer. Anytime you hear the synth produce sound in this video, it's because I'm pressing keys.
