scientists also used to say the world was flat. that bloodletting would get the bad blood out... if you would like to see tons of evidence pointing towards creation, or if you think it is a pile of superstition, here is a web site that is offering 250,000 American dollars if you can give them one piece of evidence that proves evolution being more then just a theory... it has been in the bank for 20 years so far... drdino.com/lies-in-the-textbooks-seminar-part-4/
everything in the bible is there for a reason... just for the simple fact that God made everything, doesn't that alone mean he can make the rules also? rules are for our benefit... thou shall not kill... you will tick off a whole lot of people who knew the one killed... adultery, have you been on the wrong side of a break up? homosexuality has a higher illness rate. i remember an insurance company saying those of that lifestyle's medical bills were 17% higher over all...
so your saying their is no sexist writing made to look like gods word. Get your facts straight, the culture wasn't the only thing that was sexist if the bible really is gods word. lol
im christian but the bible was very inspired by sexist racist people. Homosexuallity is a sin well according to the bible, but according to scientists people are born gay. Hate is brought upon people who are gay from the bible that is supposed to bring love. The bible is not perfect with all its inconsistancies it has just like the people who wrote it.
@AxlesOfFate They were godly men who did exactly what the Lord told them. I am a woman and I am a christian, in that culture woman and children had no power. Christ jesus gave them power, gave them a voice. He said listen to the children, a woman is who saw him risen from the dead first. and as for homosexuality. What do scientists know? It is imoral and wrong, they should be loved and helped. But who are you to say the bible is wrong? It is the word of God, he values it higher than his name.
Christ- Mass There is no such thing Wake up search the Scriptures nothing happen in dec. Jesus fulfilled all the appointed feast wakeup people there is no such thing as christmas in the bible!!!!!
I did. The abhorrence of it, brought me to the love of Yahuweh. I was agnostic before my study of Islam. The Quran is simply a declaration of war against mankind, and the hadith are a terrorist manifesto.
"i'm about to buy a qu'ran too" Read that garbage for free online so you won't have to waste your money. There are many places to do so. Let me know if you need a link.
So have no fear, if Comfort & Barrett contained anything that would cause us to reject the Divinity of Jesus Christ it would not be a secret but the most widely announced fact.
Here is my Christmas gift to all who read: a transliteration of John 1:14a
Kai ho logos sarx egenito kai eskainosen whomeen. That is "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us" That means Merry Christmas from God to us"
Oh does it? God tells us adnasuem to avoid the pagan practices of the gentiles but you think He is pleased by us venerating the rebirth of the son of the sun. "Tabernacled with us" is the accurate translation in that verse, and had your mind not been poluted by religious indoctrination, you would know the significance of not only that prophetic Miqra, but the other 6 as well. Therein lies at the heart of why God despises religion.
What Christmas does, is replace Yahuweh's actual set apart days for us to meet with Him. By substituting His days for the adversary's, we are blind lemmings and ignorant of His message, nature and plan of redemption. While the Hebrew and Greek words for "dwell and dwelt" are used regularly in Scripture, this is the only place "skenoo" is found.
Yahuweh went out of His way to let us to know that He entered our world in the form of a man on the very day He said that He would pitch His tent with us, on the Miqra' of Tabernacles and Tents.
skenoo - encamped, pitched a temporary tent, and thus tabernacled
The Word became flesh at the Miqra' of Tabernacles in the seventh month, not on the winter solstice because Christmas marks the sun god's birthday. Satan's Christmas and Easter trump God's Tabernacles and Passover. As Todd Agnew so aptly puts it:Which one do you serve?
Is not the greatest commandment love God with all your mind all your heart and all your strength? Did not God creat all days? then should not we celebrate on all days? Is not the Church the body of Christ? Are we not married to him? How then can he "despise" religion?
Good question. I'm thrilled you asked. First of all, the word "church" doesn't exist in Yahuweh's word. That word is manmade and derives form a pagan sun goddess. Next, "chrio" is also absent from God's witness. No "chrio"= no Christ. Not only is "christ" errant, the most popular symbol in christiandom(cross)is not in God's word either-that's because the cross has always been satanic.
Guess how many times the word "religion" is in the old covenant? Zero. It is there 3 times in the renewed covenant-all derogatory. In fact, the Messiah's most outspoken exchanges came against the religious leaders of His day. Every religion on Earth is man made. They are human constructs, gnich. There is no "religion" in God's word. The word He uses is "beriyth". That means "covenant, pact, relationship".
Not only is every religion manmade, every one of them serve cleric and king. They all enrich cleric and king. Not one of them serve Him!!!!!!! And they all lead men astray. For example, religion kept me from Him for over 30 years because I knew a "loving God" could never say "you either love me, or you are going to hell to burn forever".
Every church I am aware of says there are 2 destinations but it wasn't until I realized that scripture says that there are three. I made the mistake of thinking that the "church" represented God. I saw the church as foolish and thus God was foolish. The church wants us to fear God. God says that is foolish also. The reason for religion is simple: you can't make a nickle on a relationship.
Your thinking, if it can be called theology, is filled with the hidden and esoteric. Certainly no one could learn your knowledge without coming to you or one of your few friends. This makes me think of you as one of the ancient Gnostics. And frankly, as rudely and as bluntly as you speak to people you will have few if any converts. Learn the parable that tells us we may catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
"Your thinking, if it can be called theology, is filled with the hidden and esoteric. Certainly no one could learn your knowledge without coming to you or one of your few friends."
"my knowledge" is neither hidden or a secret. Everything I have said is either scriptural or a verifiable historical fact. Challenge one of the points to find out, or better yet, do 30 minutes of research on the topic and verify it for yourself.
It's sad that the truth is so foreign to our ears. We are so far gone that when someone exposes lies and witnesses to the truth (the only things we are even called to do)they are attacked and it is called hateful. Sorry, but God is to wise to be tolerant of deception. Tolerating error is why we are in this mess, and it will NEVER be compssionate to do so. Truth is never popular, but it is the only weapon against deception-and thus Satan. I beg you to prove me wrong.
Here is what a group of the nation's top Seminary Greek professors have said concerning your statements.
1) Comfort & Barrett is not a collection of newly found papyri but a group of many that we have on hand. A new group is edited into a text like Comfort & Barrett and them released. The papyri from Comfort have already been used in the work of the Greek NT that we have. Comfort was used in the Nestle-Aland Greek NT 27th Edition.
2) There is nothing to make any of these men even dream that Christos was not in Comfort & Barrett or was a later addition by corrupt copyists. Some of the Ancient Papyri included abbreviations for words commonly used and so you might only get a couple of characters and some underlined. The copyists readily understood what it was. A casual reader might not.
3) Most all of the men could not imagine where you would have gotten this idea. Some had not read Comfort because it made no real splash and as already stated, it has been the basis of Reputable Greek NT since produced.
4) The works entitled Apostolic and Ante-Nicene Fathers, which are the writings of Church Fathers from AD 30 till 325 contain the term "Christ" 531 times according to a search done in Quick Verse. If they used the term that early it could not have been added later..
"Most all of the men could not imagine where you would have gotten this idea. "
And I would ask them to show me a single case where "chrio", or "Christ" was written out prior to Constantines corruptions. Just one! Point to a single example where it is there in the first 3 centuries. A lie is still a lie- no matter how vociferously it is justified or how hallowed be the justifier.
O, I made a mistake yesterday. The word Christos was used in the Apostolic Fathers that is AD 100 - 200, a total of 153 times & then more in the Ante-Nicene Fathers. And groups of NT translators the world around assert that Christos was used in the NT Manuscript. So you stand alone so far as I have found. Now I forgive you for calling me a simpleton - I guess when we get caught up in the heat...Have a good life.
LOL I thought we were speaking about the word of God? The word "Chrio", or "Christ" is absent from God's word. That is what I have said from the beginning. Did some sun god worshiping pagan idolator write "christ" in the pagan city of Rome? Maybe- I haven't seen it but it is possible. That is where Constantine served his god-Mithras(the unqonquerable sun), so it wouldn't surprise me.
Yahuweh's disdain for a politicized and hierarchal clergy is something about which most Christians remain unaware. The Nicolaitane doctrine that He condemns in Pergamos literally means "to conquer and rule over the people." Today, and for nearly 1,700 years, a clerical chain of command has formed the basis of Roman Catholicism. And it began during the Pergamos period.
Remember the Nicolaitanes, those whom the Ephesus Assembly kept at bay and got God's praises for doing so? Well, the Pergamosians weren't so conscientious. They not only ignored Yahuweh's advice, failing to expose and condemn them and their false doctrines, they accepted and endorsed their spirit of universalism. The "church" was poisoned with false teaching (corrupting the mind), sexual immorality (corrupting the body) and Gnosticism (corrupting the soul).
The Nicolaitane's hierarchal class of clerics became commonplace. Even their names - pope, cardinal, priest, monk, and nun - and their costumes - black, white, and red robes and hats - were borrowed from a pagan past. These politicized clerics used religion and politics to rule over the populous.
While these concepts were born in the demonic cesspool of Babylon, Pergamos marked the place in which Yahuweh's Called-Out Assembly was first poisoned by Satan's caustic brew. The Babylonian deceptions Halal ben Shachar had so carefully concocted, seasoned, and stirred as his counterfeit religion would be amalgamated into Christendom courtesy of a demon possessed pagan sungod worshiper named Constantine during the Pergamosian era.
So rather than follow their errors, their purposeful corruptions, why don't you expose them?
Conquering people is the antithesis of the message taught by Yahushua but it is consistent with that of the Nicolaitans - the people and principles Yahushua hates. Moreover, there are no "crosses" in Scripture, so there was another basis for Constantine's symbolism.
The Greek word stauros, meaning "upright pole" was changed to the Latin crux, for "cross" by the Roman Catholic Church in their Vulgate to serve Satan and legitimize Constantine. The first religious use of a cross was for Tammuz, the Babylonian Son of the Sun. Catholics still celebrate his birthday every Christmas.
Crosses attached to or superimposed on circles were the most common Satanic symbols in pagan religions. The Egyptian Ankh, the Hindu Swastika, the Druid "Peace Sign," and the Roman Chi Rho are all examples. The scientific symbol for "woman," a circular sun with an external cross, was first used in Babylon to designate the "Mother of God." The biological male designation, a circle with an arrow emanating from it, is also of Babylonian origin.
It signified the sun, represented by the circle, sending a ray, represented by the arrow, out to Mother Earth, impregnating her at the Festival of Ishtar, celebrated on the Sunday nearest the Vernal Equinox. True to the faith of Constantine, Catholics celebrate the Sun's achievement each year on Easter Sunday, nine months before the Sun God's nativity on December 25th.
There are several explanations for the origin of the cross in Satanic sun god lore. It represented the first letter of Tammuz's name. And the sun "crosses" the equator at the Vernal Equinox, the day the Babylonians believe the sun impregnated mother earth giving birth to Tammuz nine months later at the Winter Solstice. Pagans celebrated Easter Sunday by baking sun-shaped rolls with crosses cut into them. The custom continues with the baking of Hot Cross Buns today.
Constantine, and his "Sign of the Cross," ritualistically imitated by all Catholics today, elevated the Satanic symbol to universal acclaim.
As bad as all this is, it only gets worse. The High Priest of the astrological fertility cult the Magi brought from Babylon to Pergamos held the title of "Chief Bridge Builder," meaning "the one who spans the gap between mortals and gods."
In Latin this title is written "Pontifex Maximus" or Pontiff for short. In keeping with the arrogance of the Caesars, it was adopted by Constantine in 325 CE. The emperor also called himself "the Vicar [the person who is authorized to perform the functions] of Christ." This too was contrary to Scripture because Yahushua alone is the bridge between man and God. He said, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the Messiah Yahushua." (1Timothy 2:5)
I contacted Phillip Comfort - co-author of Comfort & Barrett "Earliest Maunscripts of the New Testament Greek". He said that you have a huge misunderstanding. Christos is in the earliest MSS of the Greek. I've sent you his email response. You are wrong through lack of true knowledge of Greek. Stop misdirecting people. You may have a point on some matters, but the word Christos is not a corruption added by an apostate Church - it is the title for God's Son. Comfort had much harsher words than I.
I am thrilled that you were moved enough to investigate it yourself-well a little. Too bad you can't grasp what I have consistantly said from the beginning. Here it is again, and it was confirmed by your e-mail exchange. Greek did not have the letters to reproduce the sounds of ANY of the divine names, so they used placeholders, rather than butcher the names(which People did later with "Jesus Christ")
They couldn't write Yahuweh, Yahushua etc. so they used placeholders. You will not find "christos" written a single time on any page of the pre constantinian manuscripts. Not once-not ever. What you will find is a placeholder for "Anointed Messiah", so instead of me wondering what your question was to facilitate that response, why don't you site where it is written out and we'll have a look. Ask him to point to a single occurance.
Either that, or buy the book and point to a single place were you see "christos". You can't. You'll find a placeholder were "anointed" belongs. "Chrio" wasn't used because it is about smearing ointments, usually drugs. Forward this to him and let's see his response. I own the book, so I can't be fooled. Instead of running your hole, produce the evidence. Show us just one place where you see "Chrio" "Christos" etc. You can't!!!!!
Regardless of how bad you want your saviors name to be "Jesus Christ" ......it isn't. Wishful thinking doesn't changed the creators personal and proper name from Yahuweh to "Lord". Just because we like the Satanic Christmas and Easter celebrations doesn't give us the right to associate them to the God of Abraham. He has His 7 "holidays" and He tells us not to ignore them. Not only have we ignored them-we have replaced them.
Our sole job is to expose, refute and repudiate lies pertaining to Him, and the one person here that is doing it, is the guy who irritates you the most-that is disturbing. It should trouble you.
While the placeholder CRU, has been embellished with the addition of a "t," the sign of the Satan's "cross," and has in time become "Jesus'" last name, the shocking truth is neither chrio, nor christos, were ever actually written out on any page of any first, second, or third century manuscript of any Renewed Covenant book or letter.
Interestingly, of the many ways the placeholder CRU is rendered in the 70 extant pre-Constantine manuscripts, none of them contain the Greek tau, or "t." Not one. And of the 24 letters in the Greek alphabet, the "T" or Tau, was the only one associated with Tammuz, the son of the sun in the Babylonian religion that has come to pollute Christendom.
Tracing the actual meaning of chrio, the basis of what became cristos, in koine Greek is a useful endeavor. Plato, our best source for contextual definitions, uses a compound form of chrio (χρίω) as a verb, meaning "to prick" and "to quarrel." That's a rather ominous start for the word most identifiable with Christendom. Chrio is not used at all by Aristotle, our second best resource.
We do find chrio in Greek tragedies, however. In these plays, chrio is used to convey: "to rub someone's body or to stroke oneself." When used in the context of "fats and oils" it means "to smear." For example, poison from the robe of Deianira was chrio onto Hercules' body by way of Deianira's garment. So we have gone from bad to worse, descending into the realm of myth, tragedy, and poison.
Chrio is most often used by Homer in the context of the application of drugs designed by men to cure the sick. It is from this usage that we derive the Greek designation for "drugstore." The "c" in Greek chi looks like an "x" (χ) and the Greek rho, has the sound of the English "r" (ρ). They are reversed to form "Rx." This was because chrio described the application of medicines. Today we call them "drugs."
Aphrodite is said to have chrio the dead Hector in a pagan sungod religious rite. Weapons were chrio with grease and arrows were chrio with poison. And while none of these connotations is desirable, it gets worse. From the basic sense of "to rub over" we get such meanings as "to color," "to paint over," and "to whitewash," the very thing Satan adores and Yahuweh detests.
Whitewashing is central to the Whore of Babylon and every religious and political deception based upon her schemes. Satan knows the truth. He has been in and out of heaven since the beginning. He is four dimensional and thus can, unlike us, maneuver in time. Recognizing the profound and saving truths inherent in Yahuweh's plan, Satan has sought to prevail by painting over them. That way, the truth is hidden and his lies, having been based upon an element of truth, become believable.
I'm saying that your saviors name is not Lord Jesus Christ. It is Yahushua-which means Yahuweh saves/is salvation(Yahuweh BTW is your creators personal name). Only He(Yahushua) came in the Fathers name. The letter "J" is a recent invention so it is certain that no one named James, and John were walking with Jesus in Jerusalem. That would be impossible. "Christ" is not in scripture a single time. Not one time on any page in any book. Our church leaders are liars!
As I recall, its pronounced Yeshua, not Yahushua, which I'm not even sure is a Hebrew word. However, before Yeshua was JehoYeshua, or Joshua, which the Jeho was added to differentiate between Joshua and the Messiah.
There is no "J" in Hebrew or Greek. The letter "J" was invented in the 15th century. Therefore, we can be absolutely positive, that there was no James, and John, walking with Jesus in Jerusalem.
Ok...you're hardly making sense...I would like proof that it was invented in the 15th century, otherwise, I am not quite sure I believe you. Although I do remember this: Jesus is the translation of Yeshua going through Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and then to English. I'm going to contact someone I know who knows more about this topic so I can get back to you on the subject. I will then give you the answer.
How about I just give it to you. It is a fact that there was no "J' in Hebrew. Next, names are not translated, they are transliterated. There are so many people who are unaware of this difference, I am compelled to make a video-my first. Therefore, names do not change when traveling to other lands and languages. Mr. Baker, doesn't become Mr. Panandero(one who bakes) in Spain.
My brother found one of his books(one of the over 300) that is titled Y'SHUA, so I beg pardon for mispronouncing it, and it is written by a Jewish scholar named Moishe Rosen. In this book, Moishe says that the Greek word "christos" translates the meaning of the Hebrew word "anointed", which comes into English as Christ. Therefore the word "Christian" is equivalent to "Messianist", a follower of the Messiah.
That's wrong also. First problem is that you should be weary of trusting ANY religious man, and certainly the one who is afraid or ashamed of spelling or vocalizing their redeemers personal and proper name. I knew it was a Jew the moment I saw "Y'shua". This is the same guy who will tell you not to pronounce God's name. Look in that book and see if you find "Yah(u)weh". I highly doubt it. You will, however, see "Ha Shem" hundreds of times. That means "the name".
First, "christos" was not written a single time in any pre constantine manuscripts. Not once-not ever.
I used "Anointed/Messiah" rather than "Christ" for many reasons. First, used as a name or title, "christos" is not to be found in any Greek New Covenant manuscript prior to Constantine's corruptions. When addressing the Messiah, every one of the earliest manuscripts use a two letter capitalized form similar to the YHWH rendering of Yahuweh's name throughout the Hebrew Scriptures.
A line was universally placed over these two letters, signifying Deity.
When applicable to the Messiah, "Anointed" was rendered XS (Chi-Sigma), XU (Chi-Upsilon), XW (Chi-Omega), or XN (Chi-Nu). Interestingly, Rho or "r," the second letter in "christos," was never used, nor was the Tau or "t." I believe the Rho was deleted because it became synonymous with drugs. I believe the Tau was deleted because the "t" symbolized the first sun god, Tammuz, and his cross.
Second, had the apostles meant to use "Anointed or Messiah" as a name, rather than as a title or description, they would have transliterated the Hebrew name "Mashiyach" into its equivalent Greek letters to replicate the sound. This was done in John 1:41 where John records Andrew, Simon Peter's brother saying: "We have found the Messias (Messiah)."
"'God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.' The woman said to Him, 'I know that Messias (Messiah) is coming; when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.' Yahushua said to her, 'I who speak to you am He.'"
It's safe to say Yahshua knows His own name and title better than any contemporary translator.
Messiah, as a name or title, is not rendered elsewhere in the New Covenant Writings. So it is evident the apostles were trying to convey the meaning of "mashiyach" which is "anointed" in every other place it is used. Therefore, so should we. Being anointed is central to our relationship, understanding, and salvation.
Third, if the apostles only meant to convey the meaning of the Hebrew word "mashiyach" (anointed - to rub, immerse or anoint with oil), and nothing else, they would have translated the Hebrew word into its closest Greek equivalent and been done with it. Yet they didn't. But although they didn't, the post Constantine manuscripts did replace the original two letter format universally found in all of the early manuscripts with "christos."
So here's the rub. Should these first Catholics have been correct with their alterations, we should follow their example and translate the meaning of the Greek word into the most similar English one so that we might understand the significance of being anointed. If they were wrong to change Scripture, we should expunge their edits and return to the original nomenclature.
And fourth, the reason the oldest manuscripts differ from the more recent ones is that the meaning of the Greek "christos" is not equivalent to the Hebrew "mashiyach." In the Hebrew mind, someone who was anointed with oil was immersed in the true light and spirit of Yahuweh. Olive oil provided the purest source of illumination in their darkness so someone who was anointed with oil was the purest representative of God in that light is symbolic of His nature and His truth.
However, in juxtaposition to this, in Greek society, a "christos" was a physician or pharmacist who applied herbal ointments or drugs on people who felt they needed manmade cures. The doctor dispensed these drugs out of a plethora of jars he carried with him in a wooden box marked with the same Rx symbol (the Greek letters Rho Chi), we find on the doors or our drugstores. The ancient Greek dispensers of these drugs did so under the watchful "Eye of Horus" -the pagan god associated with medicine.
5) My research to date includes the words of Professors including Dr. Charles H. Cosgrove of Princeton Theological Seminary.
I think the facts are clear. You have stated of what you knew nothing of. You are way out of your league and have no right to be stating the things that you have with no real factual knowledge behind it. I think that you should apologize to the folks for leading some of they astray and disquieting them in their faith.
What is wrong with you? It simply doesn't matter what this professor says or that one says. Is it in the oldest Greek renewed covenant texts or not? You act as if Comfort and Barrett are in some conspiracy or something. If you would only crack the book, you would learn that all they did was reproduce the oldest extant manuscripts in a book form for you and I to see and or read. The text is in Greek.
Since these are the oldest texts on planet Earth and the term "Christ" is not there a single time, perhaps the people misleading you should be the ones apologizing.
"If the things you assert were true we would have to erase 2/3 of the New Testament."
They are true. That's why all you can do is present some guys opinion to refute them. We have to erase nothing. Communicating it properly would do just fine.
That's pathetic and sad. If the truth can "disquiet your faith", clearly you are following a lie. There is no other option here. And if you are following a lie, is it compassionate for someone to sit by idle when they know the truth?
According to God, tolerating errant thinking of spiritual or scriptural matters is inhumane.
"My research to date includes the words of Professors"
Mine include the words of God- big difference. Does your research include cracking the book you are assailing? How can you critique a book without owning it? Once you purchase it, you will see that it is simply the oldest manuscripts of the NT in existance(untranslated). Then , I guess, you will see what "right" I have for saying the things I do.
I celebrate Christ and merely remember Feast of Tabernacles which foreshadowed Him for so long. And what ever happened to "speaking the truth in love"? Eph. 4:15 If the things you assert were true we would have to erase 2/3 of the New Testament. Certainly Hebrews, Colossians, I John and the Gospels would be gone.
"Feast of Tabernacles which foreshadowed Him for so long"
I am interested in you elaborating here. Explain what this moed Miqra foreshadows, please. Do the other 6 miqra foreshadow things as well? What? Thanks
I do not claim to be a scholar, as most are wrong, nor will you see me on some platform. I speak the truth and that as you may know, is a thankless effort that usually results in hostility. It's why not a single media outlet will even have someone like me on for 2 minutes. When your position requires you to run, hide, or censor words, there may be a problem.
Needles to say many of the churches are corrupt. However when I say church I mean the body of believers not the manmade instituions. However it is written to come together and worship. There is also a biblical foundation for church leaders. I think there is alot that you and I can agree on.
God's speed
p.s. It is a good thing biblicaly speaking to fear God.
No its not. First, yare, can mean revere. Respect and reverence are not only completely compatible with love and relationship, they are baseline requirements. Second, since one can never draw close to or love someone they fear, rendering yare' "fear" is clearly wrong.
And third, Yahuweh said that fearing Him was a manmade tradition. God inspired Isaiah/Yasha'yahu to write...
"Then Yahuweh (YHWH) said, 'Forasmuch as these people approach Me with their mouths, and with their lip service, yet they removed their hearts from Me. Their fear (yir'ah) toward Me exists because it is taught (lamad - learned, studied, acquired through the instruction of, is derived) from manmade traditions." (Isaiah/Yasha'yahu 29:12-13)
Fearing God makes religions tick. It makes them money and it makes them powerful. People want to be protected from a fearsome deity. And they will do most anything to avoid such a spirit's wrath.
"Needles to say many of the churches are corrupt."
"There is also a biblical foundation for church leaders."
Nope. The word "church" doesn't exist in scripture. Furthermore, there isn't to be a paid assembly. Since this is what pays the bills for these preachers, they are breaking His commandments if they observe the Sabbath while being paid to lead services.
Since that time no scholar has insisted that we expunge Christ from the Bible or that we scrap the major part of our Doctrinal foundation for the last 2000 years. If this had happened we all would have heard of it in the Network News as it would have been gleefully reported. Also, the churches would be devastated by now and Christmas would have mainly a secular only emphasis. This has not happened.
Who cares whether or not a "scholar" insisted anything? It's either in God's word, or it's not. Then, you either believe Him or you don't. If your scenario happened, the end times prophesies wouldn't come true and God wouldn't be reliable or trustworthy. After all, an abhorrence to His name and a luke warm assembly is the signs of the end days. Why would He refer to the "church" as vomit if they were currently awake?
Here is my response to the question about Comfort & Barrett GNT. The book had been published in 1999 and was recalled due to numerous errors. It was re-issued by a different publisher in 2001. The book is a compilation of fragments and snippets of manuscripts and not an entire manuscript containing the N. T. Since then it has been in the hands of N.T. Textual Critics including Dr. Bruce Metzger who commented on it in a book he published.
Wrong, silly one. You can poo poo all you want but I am challenging you right now to point to a single occurance of "chrio" prior to Constantine's corruptions. BTW, we have these scrolls in our possession. They are there for all to see, so your little conspiracy done by Comfort and Barrett would be verifiable....so do it. Instead of using evidense, reason, rational thought, or even common sense, you attack the messenger.
This is no offence to anyone, but arguments and discussions such as these should be conveyed in private messages. For starters, it is common curtesy (in my opinion) for other users who want to make simple comments. And that's another thing: the point of commenting is to comment on the video, not make pages of long replies to others (and it seems this one has been going on for a good seven months).
Your arguments are terribly interesting, but this is certainly not the place for it, even though I'm contradicting myself by posting this in the first place...I do apologize, but I felt I needed to address this.
If you are speaking to me, I would reply with this: Don't trust any man-including me. I asked for people to go there are confirm what I have said. If you can find an error(other than a typo) let me know. You won't. Not only is there a mountain of info, there is a mountain of evidence. It's why you are unable to refute a single word- regardless of how contraversial it is.
But most will reject truth and favor of someone tickling their ears with comforting messages that confirm what they have already been led to believe. All I can do is point a light in the right direction. The rest is up to you. I pray you take this challenge.
I do not believe I will be back to respond. You believe what you believe agat0r and I respect that. People should know what they believe and why they believe it. I also think you are off the path a little. Felk, you were right. It is not all about the head knowledge.
Do not believe everything you see. Both the Father and Christ warn us of false teachers and to test everything against the Lord. Do not take anything agat0r says, or I say, or even your church Pastor says without going to the bible, going to God in prayer and testing it in the fire. Only then will the truth come out.
Agat0r, you often use big words to show your knowledge, but often you use misinterpretations. Sometimes you take what one meaning is and use it a little incorrectly, or slightly off. I'm not bashing you whatsoever. I'm glad that you dug into it. Remember, everything about the bible is someones interpretation. Unless you have the exact letters and writings of the original author some things may have changed so you must always test it,
understand the history, the audience, the author. The emotions of that time, before and after. Only then can we START to understand. For we can never wholly know the mind of God nor the mind of the writers.
Until scripture says that, it will remain your opinion.
"Felk, you were right. It is not all about the head knowledge. "
Just notice that I am the one using scripture. Does this make sense or not: One can not have a meaningful relationship with someone whom they don't even know the name.
ok agat0r. I took your advice and went and researched the meaning of the word Lord..its origins etc. True YHWH is used in scripture over 6000 times and when it came time to translate the scribes attempted to pronounce the consonants with the vowels from Adonai (Lord)...thus making Elohim or Jehovah as it became later known.
It was not to be disresepectful or anything but merely to try and avoid the profanation of the name YHWH. yes Jews and cabalists dont use it but it was a way to make sense to the people who would read the bible in something other than Hebrew/Greek and later Latin.
However....Baal (in Hebrew writing) is not spelt the same as ADONAI and does not mean the same as Lord when used in reference to the devil and God respectively. In the ENglish translations the differences are rendered as LORD Lord and lord coz we have a limited language appararently.
Whatever the meaning is or isnt though, Jesus, YHWH, GOD, is KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS...He is I AM (Ex 3:14) As I stated before that pretty much covers everything. If you were to ask God any question..are you Lord of all? I AM. Are you the healer? I Am. Are you the one who saves? I AM. etc If I had to choose one name and one name only, it would be I AM.
We could(and apparently have)go backwards and forwards all day with this mate but I really do not want to do that. I have been educated (by researching the names) and for that I thank you. However, my point still stands about a personal relationship. My wife can be called her name, my wife, love, sweetheart etc etc...doesnt change the fact of her name and the relationship I have with her.
What it boils down to as a Christian is that relationship with our Lord and Savour Jesus Christ. Technically all scripture whether Hebrew Greek or English is an interpretation by a man and therefore until we get to heaven and meet God himself, we go with what we have...and whatever you may say...God knows we are talking to and about Him.
So once again, lets agree to disagree ...but really agree...and enjoy the grace mercy and salvation we can live in being set free from our sins and living an eternal live with God. Thats what I am looking forward to and my relationship with God whilst Im down here is just an appetizer for a much great meal to come.
May Yahuweh's spirit be with you and yours brother. I love your response(the facts could be corrected but I'll abstainLOL). Here's the deal: I am passionate and flawed, but have good intentions. There is so much wrong with the "church", it would take a week to write it. We are so wrapped up in pagan sun god worship, it sickens me. We are lied to by every single church in america. Every one!
We shun God, and celebrate Pagan rites and rituals. By ignoring His instructions, we become blind lemmings who think a loving God would say "love me or burn in hell". Sound loving to you? We'll think the Earth is 6000 years old, and all humans and all animals were killed when the waters rose above every mountain on Earth during the deluge. This does God a disservice and makes a mockery of scripture.
It is why not one church goer I have every spoken to, knows when "Jesus" came to our aid. It's also why we don't know when He'll return. The reason for this is because we think Christmas is scriptural and affiliared with Yahuweh. On and on it goes until we have crafted a God in our image, replete with truine gods with distint personalities. PPL in the pews are mainly those who have blind faith. They have no other choice.
This process leads men astray. It is precisely what kept me away from God for over 30 yrs. I can only imagine how many others are kept out because they did what I did and made the mistake of looking for God through the church. I thought the church represented God. Therefore, when the church didn't make sense, it made God look foolish.
It only started to make sense when I realized that God and I both thought the church was foolish-actually all religions.
Look at Muslims: They think that Jesus was just a man and strip all deity from Him. Muslims think they attain paradise(which is a brothel) by killing the choosen PPL of the God of Abraham.
In 70 ad, the Romans destroyed Israel and made sure that we could never again trace the lineage BUT Jews are still waiting for a Messiah to come in the line of David. This is the non sense religion brings. We are to expose it. By exposing these ignorant man made schemes, His family can be enlarged. It's the only way!
Truth is the only weapon against deception, brother. That is why I have known for 5 years that we stand no chance in a "war against terror". Terror is a tactic, not a foe. Until we tell the truth about the impending danger, we don't have a snowballs chance. To prove this lie, I guarantee that you are unaware of it. We haven't even announced an enemy. Whose the enemy? Do you know? Not likely. You certainly haven't heard it on a media outlet. Bombs and bullets can't beat a lie.
That's why the "last days" are unfolding right before your eyes. The only, and I mean ONLY way this could succeed is to have an ignorant audience. It's why God spoke on the issue of tolerating lies so often. It even made His top ten list. But heedless of what Yahuweh etched in stone and ignorant of what He revealed through His prophets and apostles, we have tolerated, even condoned all manner of error. It is the reason the world is in a mess today.
The church is mired in Satanic deception rather than grounded on Yahuweh's Word. God has given us His prescription for healthy living. According to our Maker, tolerating error is inhumane. When lies go unrefuted, and liars go unshamed, society deteriorates and countless souls are damned. At the same time, the other side of that is when Truth is brought into the light, we no longer are dealing with appetizers- it's a feast.
The entire portrait comes together. God's timeline emerges and makes sense, and every question is answered. It sounds like you are rational, Felkster. Even though you were lied to about the name, you looked for info. That's all it takes. But believe it or not, it is a rare attribute to find, so I applaud your willingness. Because of this,I invite you to YadaYahweh dot com
There, you will find a mountain of knowledge. It is w/o question, the best site I have ever run into. Everything is free, and the only intent there, is to spread the truth- regardless of how many man made lies it skewers. All scripture is amplified like you have never seen before. There is great love and dedication to God there. It is unabashed, in your face truth, but it is like having a conversation with Yahuweh. Please go there and confirm this for yourself. In Yahuweh's shem
You also mention how christians do not follow the Old Covenant God had with the Israelites. Those laws were God's way of administering to his people AT THAT TIME. After Christ came, there was forgivness instead of punishment, life instead of death. Christ said he was the fullfillment of the law. I'm not saying we cannot still obey them. God's moral absolutes have not changed. The consequences are different.
agat0r you also say you know when the rapture and all that is coming. You may think you know, but even Jesus himself says that not even he knows, but only the father. Many people have "known" exactly when it was going to happen, and it never has. When the Christ, who is God, does not know, how can man know?
thank u mate! like I told agat0r before....he/she searched so hard for the truth that they missed the point - what Jesus really came for. Head knowledge is one thing... heart and soul is another...and only God can give that
Second you say there is no hell and talk about how it is the literal seperation. You are slightly wrong. It does have a literal meaning though. When Christ talks about hell (the hebrew word escapes me, it may well be Sheol) he uses a place. There is a place that the Israelites at his time would know. It was a place of much death, and during Christ days it was a burning pit.
Garbage and dead bodies were tossed there along with sewage and it was constantly burning causing a stench. This is what he talks about. In revelations it also mentions a lake of burning sulphur, which is where we get the fire idea.
Ok, after that post I remembered what I was talking about. As the new testament is written majorly in Greek the word used is as you said Gahenna. Gahenna refers to the Valley of Hinnom I belive. Which is used what i said in my previous post. It was a place of many battles and deaths. It was often refered to as a place of gnashing of teeth.
As to the new convenant and christians taking that wrong. The grace that christ talks about is not the only reason we belive as we believe. In Acts 15, and yes this was decided by men, but decided on with the help of the Spirit and the actions of Christ life, they decide that Gentiles had to do none of the old Laws except for 3 things. Also Grace appears here again. Good place to read up on this.
"But nevertheless (de), the immediate vicinity of (para) that one specific and definite (ekeinos - emphatic and distant) day (hemera - interval between sunrise and sunset) and (kai) hour (hora - a certain definite time) no one (oudeis - nobody) recognizes (oida - appreciates or is aware of, perceives, discerns, or notices), not even (oude) the messengers (aggelos) of heaven (ouranos), only the Father (pater) alone (monos)." (Matthew 24:36)
Before comment on this verse, it must be noted that there is some dispute as to whether the words "nor the Son" are included. Unfortunately, this is one of the few Renewed Covenant passages outside of our relative dearth of Mark, Philemon, 1 John, and Jude manuscripts that is not extant in an early papyrus.
The scrolls and books which have survived are late, fourth century at best and they differ. While Yahushua said that He is a diminished manifestation of Yahuweh, a requirement to keep His presence from incinerating our planet, the notion that the Father would know something the Son doesn't conflicts with the testimony of Scripture. After all, Yahshua is the Word.
That said, we must ask ourselves. What day is He speaking about? Why was He so careful with His words using "de para eleomps hemera kai hora oudeis oida." And why are we so careless with them? Most translations completely ignore de. In English Bibles para is mistranslated "of" rather than "the immediate vicinity."
Further, ekeinos is a very exacting term and usually speaks to "one definite and often distinct entity." It's an "emphatic and specific" term. To render ekeinos "that" misses the point of the word. And oida isn't the usual Greek word for "know." Ginosko is. Oida conveys the idea of simply recognizing something, being aware of it, or just appreciating it.
Ginosko implies empirical knowledge. It means to know something through the study of the evidence or through experience. While both words can be translated "know," oida is a much fuzzier term and only suggests that people won't be aware of this one day, that they won't recognize it for what it is. They will be unable to properly perceive, discern, or even notice its connection to other Scriptural references.
The testimony which follows this challenging verse tells us that "the one specific day" Yahushua was speaking of could either be the pre-Tribulation harpazo/harvest or His final advent. But since forty-three of the next forty-five verses are dedicated to concepts related to the rapture with only the remaining two potentially focused on His return it's reasonable to assume that the one specific day where the hour is unknown pertains to the harvest.
Moreover, all one has to do is combine an understanding of the Yowbel with the Messiah's previous statements and the Day of His return to earth in judgment and light becomes obvious.
Therefore, if He were addressing it again, He would be contradicting Himself. And remember, it can't be both days because Yahushua used the very emphatic ekeinos, not the generic hos for "that." God wasn't speaking generically about all prophetic fulfillments - just about one. The "no one will recognize or know it" speaks to "a definite day," and not about all others.
Would that include remebering His Sabbath? Has that been done away with, also? Who said? Those things are just for Jews, huh? Was God confused when He said "these are MY convocations"? And that they should be observed "owlam". That word means "forever". That's all it means. Therefore, His meetings are HIS(not Jews) and are to be observe forever. That's what scripture says.
So I read what some people had to say and found some of it disappointing. Agat0r you talk about what the word Lord means yet you dont seem to understand the works of translation. Lord, Father, God, are translations from the different hewbrew words there are for him. Such as Adonai and others.
I understand just fine, my friend. I know what Translation is and I know what transliteration is. If Yahuweh was to say "Lord" there is a perfectly good Hebrew word for it- Ba'al. Look it up in any Hebrew dictionary on Planet Earth.
Not a single word of the Old Covenant in Babylonian Hebrew included vowels, that would be true of the entire text of the Tanach. To question Yahuweh and accept the vocalization of all other words, is irrational.
I choose to believe the Bible because it's a reliable collection of historical documents written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
I don't have to defend the truth, the TRUTH defends me. I am quite sure Todd is not refering to a pagan holiday here, he is speaking of the first real Chistmas that took place in a barn, probably a cave at that time. DEC 25th is only a day we celebrate His birth not that it is His birth"day".
The first easter eggs were made to remember the stone rolled away from Jesus' tomb, besides they don't make chocolate cross's just bunnies. God loves children's egg hunts He shows them were they are :)
After reading every one of your extremely eloquent, detailed and obviously learned posts arguing again Christmas, Jesus and Easter, I want to ask you a couple of things. 1) What "religion" are you (and I use that word for lack of a better one) - obviously not a Christian as Christ apparently is a pagan term 2)Where and what - did you study to gain this wealth of knowledge?
I ask because I am a Christian and proud of it. I unashamedly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as we are instructed to do - as you would agree - and have no problem cutting to the chase if God lays something on my heart to say to a brother/sister (or an unsaved person).
I however have a problem with the whole argument that just coz Christmas/Easter started as a pagan festival we cant use it to celebrate the birth/death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That which the devil meant for evil God uses for good. Thats what the olden day beleivers did...turned the festival around to focus on God and what was accomplished....how many more people celebrate it now as a Christian festival than a pagan one? Many MANY more I would say.
The reason December 25th and sometime in March or April were chosen WAS to coincide with the ancient festivals yes...BUT they could have easily have chosen ...say September 15th..and we'd all be sitting round eating turkey and opening gifts today! Would it make a difference? NO!!!! its about the message BEHIND the holiday.....
It gives us the chance when the focus is totally on Christmas / Easter to talk about the reason why we celebrate those times. What Christ came to do etc. Yes we should do that every single day obviously but its easier to get thru to people when the whole mood and focus is on the event...as it is at Christmas and Easter.
SO whilst I totally respect your obviously learned and well thought out argument, I just cant agree with you wholeheartedly. Does that make me wrong...blind...a follower of Satan? No...it makes me someone who it free from the law and semantics that religion (and yes...it is religion) places on people so that the point is lost.
I am secure enough in my spirit and my relationship with God to call it Christmas, Easter, Jesus Christ and celebrate the fact that He was born and then was sacrificed as the O.T. lamb so that my sin nature was taken and I am saved, forgiven, sanctified, justified by grace.
"I have a problem with the whole argument that just coz Christmas/Easter started as a pagan festival we cant use it to celebrate the birth/death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
That is scary. So ya know that it is an abomination to God and it celebrates Baal as the birth of a new sun god, but you think it is OK to link it to scripture and associate the purely Satanic ritual to the God of Abraham-even when He tells you not to??????????
scientists also used to say the world was flat. that bloodletting would get the bad blood out... if you would like to see tons of evidence pointing towards creation, or if you think it is a pile of superstition, here is a web site that is offering 250,000 American dollars if you can give them one piece of evidence that proves evolution being more then just a theory... it has been in the bank for 20 years so far... drdino.com/lies-in-the-textbooks-seminar-part-4/

everything in the bible is there for a reason... just for the simple fact that God made everything, doesn't that alone mean he can make the rules also? rules are for our benefit... thou shall not kill... you will tick off a whole lot of people who knew the one killed... adultery, have you been on the wrong side of a break up? homosexuality has a higher illness rate. i remember an insurance company saying those of that lifestyle's medical bills were 17% higher over all...

so your saying their is no sexist writing made to look like gods word. Get your facts straight, the culture wasn't the only thing that was sexist if the bible really is gods word. lol

a sexist god
im christian but the bible was very inspired by sexist racist people. Homosexuallity is a sin well according to the bible, but according to scientists people are born gay. Hate is brought upon people who are gay from the bible that is supposed to bring love. The bible is not perfect with all its inconsistancies it has just like the people who wrote it.
AxlesOfFate 8 months ago
@AxlesOfFate They were godly men who did exactly what the Lord told them. I am a woman and I am a christian, in that culture woman and children had no power. Christ jesus gave them power, gave them a voice. He said listen to the children, a woman is who saw him risen from the dead first. and as for homosexuality. What do scientists know? It is imoral and wrong, they should be loved and helped. But who are you to say the bible is wrong? It is the word of God, he values it higher than his name.

"May be you should read the Quran "
I did. The abhorrence of it, brought me to the love of Yahuweh. I was agnostic before my study of Islam. The Quran is simply a declaration of war against mankind, and the hadith are a terrorist manifesto.

That is "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us" That means Merry Christmas from God to us"
gnich40 4 years ago
Therein lies at the heart of why God despises religion.
agat0r 4 years ago
What Christmas does, is replace Yahuweh's actual set apart days for us to meet with Him. By substituting His days for the adversary's, we are blind lemmings and ignorant of His message, nature and plan of redemption. While the Hebrew and Greek words for "dwell and dwelt" are used regularly in Scripture, this is the only place "skenoo" is found.
agat0r 4 years ago
Yahuweh went out of His way to let us to know that He entered our world in the form of a man on the very day He said that He would pitch His tent with us, on the Miqra' of Tabernacles and Tents.
skenoo - encamped, pitched a temporary tent, and thus tabernacled
agat0r 4 years ago
The Word became flesh at the Miqra' of Tabernacles in the seventh month, not on the winter solstice because Christmas marks the sun god's birthday. Satan's Christmas and Easter trump God's Tabernacles and Passover. As Todd Agnew so aptly puts it:Which one do you serve?
agat0r 4 years ago
Is not the greatest commandment love God with all your mind all your heart and all your strength? Did not God creat all days? then should not we celebrate on all days? Is not the Church the body of Christ? Are we not married to him? How then can he "despise" religion?
Goobadude 4 years ago
Good question. I'm thrilled you asked. First of all, the word "church" doesn't exist in Yahuweh's word. That word is manmade and derives form a pagan sun goddess. Next, "chrio" is also absent from God's witness. No "chrio"= no Christ. Not only is "christ" errant, the most popular symbol in christiandom(cross)is not in God's word either-that's because the cross has always been satanic.
agat0r 4 years ago
Guess how many times the word "religion" is in the old covenant? Zero. It is there 3 times in the renewed covenant-all derogatory. In fact, the Messiah's most outspoken exchanges came against the religious leaders of His day. Every religion on Earth is man made. They are human constructs, gnich. There is no "religion" in God's word. The word He uses is "beriyth". That means "covenant, pact, relationship".
agat0r 4 years ago
Not only is every religion manmade, every one of them serve cleric and king. They all enrich cleric and king. Not one of them serve Him!!!!!!! And they all lead men astray. For example, religion kept me from Him for over 30 years because I knew a "loving God" could never say "you either love me, or you are going to hell to burn forever".
agat0r 4 years ago

Learn the parable that tells us we may catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
gnich40 4 years ago
"Your thinking, if it can be called theology, is filled with the hidden and esoteric. Certainly no one could learn your knowledge without coming to you or one of your few friends."
"my knowledge" is neither hidden or a secret. Everything I have said is either scriptural or a verifiable historical fact. Challenge one of the points to find out, or better yet, do 30 minutes of research on the topic and verify it for yourself.
agat0r 4 years ago
It's sad that the truth is so foreign to our ears. We are so far gone that when someone exposes lies and witnesses to the truth (the only things we are even called to do)they are attacked and it is called hateful. Sorry, but God is to wise to be tolerant of deception. Tolerating error is why we are in this mess, and it will NEVER be compssionate to do so. Truth is never popular, but it is the only weapon against deception-and thus Satan. I beg you to prove me wrong.
agat0r 4 years ago
Here is what a group of the nation's top Seminary Greek professors have said concerning your statements.
1) Comfort & Barrett is not a collection of newly found papyri but a group of many that we have on hand. A new group is edited into a text like Comfort & Barrett and them released. The papyri from Comfort have already been used in the work of the Greek NT that we have. Comfort was used in the Nestle-Aland Greek NT 27th Edition.
gnich40 4 years ago
2) There is nothing to make any of these men even dream that Christos was not in Comfort & Barrett or was a later addition by corrupt copyists. Some of the Ancient Papyri included abbreviations for words commonly used and so you might only get a couple of characters and some underlined. The copyists readily understood what it was. A casual reader might not.
gnich40 4 years ago
3) Most all of the men could not imagine where you would have gotten this idea. Some had not read Comfort because it made no real splash and as already stated, it has been the basis of Reputable Greek NT since produced.
4) The works entitled Apostolic and Ante-Nicene Fathers, which are the writings of Church Fathers from AD 30 till 325 contain the term "Christ" 531 times according to a search done in Quick Verse. If they used the term that early it could not have been added later..
gnich40 4 years ago
"Most all of the men could not imagine where you would have gotten this idea. "
And I would ask them to show me a single case where "chrio", or "Christ" was written out prior to Constantines corruptions. Just one! Point to a single example where it is there in the first 3 centuries. A lie is still a lie- no matter how vociferously it is justified or how hallowed be the justifier.
agat0r 4 years ago
O, I made a mistake yesterday. The word Christos was used in the Apostolic Fathers that is AD 100 - 200, a total of 153 times & then more in the Ante-Nicene Fathers. And groups of NT translators the world around assert that Christos was used in the NT Manuscript. So you stand alone so far as I have found. Now I forgive you for calling me a simpleton - I guess when we get caught up in the heat...Have a good life.
gnich40 4 years ago

And it began during the Pergamos period.
agat0r 4 years ago
Remember the Nicolaitanes, those whom the Ephesus Assembly kept at bay and got God's praises for doing so? Well, the Pergamosians weren't so conscientious. They not only ignored Yahuweh's advice, failing to expose and condemn them and their false doctrines, they accepted and endorsed their spirit of universalism. The "church" was poisoned with false teaching (corrupting the mind), sexual immorality (corrupting the body) and Gnosticism (corrupting the soul).
agat0r 4 years ago
The Nicolaitane's hierarchal class of clerics became commonplace. Even their names - pope, cardinal, priest, monk, and nun - and their costumes - black, white, and red robes and hats - were borrowed from a pagan past. These politicized clerics used religion and politics to rule over the populous.
agat0r 4 years ago
While these concepts were born in the demonic cesspool of Babylon, Pergamos marked the place in which Yahuweh's Called-Out Assembly was first poisoned by Satan's caustic brew. The Babylonian deceptions Halal ben Shachar had so carefully concocted, seasoned, and stirred as his counterfeit religion would be amalgamated into Christendom courtesy of a demon possessed pagan sungod worshiper named Constantine during the Pergamosian era.
agat0r 4 years ago
So rather than follow their errors, their purposeful corruptions, why don't you expose them?
Conquering people is the antithesis of the message taught by Yahushua but it is consistent with that of the Nicolaitans - the people and principles Yahushua hates. Moreover, there are no "crosses" in Scripture, so there was another basis for Constantine's symbolism.
agat0r 4 years ago
The Greek word stauros, meaning "upright pole" was changed to the Latin crux, for "cross" by the Roman Catholic Church in their Vulgate to serve Satan and legitimize Constantine. The first religious use of a cross was for Tammuz, the Babylonian Son of the Sun. Catholics still celebrate his birthday every Christmas.
agat0r 4 years ago
Crosses attached to or superimposed on circles were the most common Satanic symbols in pagan religions. The Egyptian Ankh, the Hindu Swastika, the Druid "Peace Sign," and the Roman Chi Rho are all examples. The scientific symbol for "woman," a circular sun with an external cross, was first used in Babylon to designate the "Mother of God." The biological male designation, a circle with an arrow emanating from it, is also of Babylonian origin.
agat0r 4 years ago
It signified the sun, represented by the circle, sending a ray, represented by the arrow, out to Mother Earth, impregnating her at the Festival of Ishtar, celebrated on the Sunday nearest the Vernal Equinox. True to the faith of Constantine, Catholics celebrate the Sun's achievement each year on Easter Sunday, nine months before the Sun God's nativity on December 25th.
agat0r 4 years ago
There are several explanations for the origin of the cross in Satanic sun god lore. It represented the first letter of Tammuz's name. And the sun "crosses" the equator at the Vernal Equinox, the day the Babylonians believe the sun impregnated mother earth giving birth to Tammuz nine months later at the Winter Solstice. Pagans celebrated Easter Sunday by baking sun-shaped rolls with crosses cut into them. The custom continues with the baking of Hot Cross Buns today.
agat0r 4 years ago

Comfort had much harsher words than I.
gnich40 4 years ago
I am thrilled that you were moved enough to investigate it yourself-well a little. Too bad you can't grasp what I have consistantly said from the beginning. Here it is again, and it was confirmed by your e-mail exchange. Greek did not have the letters to reproduce the sounds of ANY of the divine names, so they used placeholders, rather than butcher the names(which People did later with "Jesus Christ")
agat0r 4 years ago
They couldn't write Yahuweh, Yahushua etc. so they used placeholders. You will not find "christos" written a single time on any page of the pre constantinian manuscripts. Not once-not ever. What you will find is a placeholder for "Anointed Messiah", so instead of me wondering what your question was to facilitate that response, why don't you site where it is written out and we'll have a look. Ask him to point to a single occurance.
agat0r 4 years ago
Either that, or buy the book and point to a single place were you see "christos". You can't. You'll find a placeholder were "anointed" belongs. "Chrio" wasn't used because it is about smearing ointments, usually drugs. Forward this to him and let's see his response. I own the book, so I can't be fooled. Instead of running your hole, produce the evidence. Show us just one place where you see "Chrio" "Christos" etc. You can't!!!!!
agat0r 4 years ago
Regardless of how bad you want your saviors name to be "Jesus Christ" ......it isn't. Wishful thinking doesn't changed the creators personal and proper name from Yahuweh to "Lord". Just because we like the Satanic Christmas and Easter celebrations doesn't give us the right to associate them to the God of Abraham. He has His 7 "holidays" and He tells us not to ignore them. Not only have we ignored them-we have replaced them.
agat0r 4 years ago
Our sole job is to expose, refute and repudiate lies pertaining to Him, and the one person here that is doing it, is the guy who irritates you the most-that is disturbing. It should trouble you.
agat0r 4 years ago
While the placeholder CRU, has been embellished with the addition of a "t," the sign of the Satan's "cross," and has in time become "Jesus'" last name, the shocking truth is neither chrio, nor christos, were ever actually written out on any page of any first, second, or third century manuscript of any Renewed Covenant book or letter.
agat0r 4 years ago
Interestingly, of the many ways the placeholder CRU is rendered in the 70 extant pre-Constantine manuscripts, none of them contain the Greek tau, or "t." Not one. And of the 24 letters in the Greek alphabet, the "T" or Tau, was the only one associated with Tammuz, the son of the sun in the Babylonian religion that has come to pollute Christendom.
agat0r 4 years ago
Tracing the actual meaning of chrio, the basis of what became cristos, in koine Greek is a useful endeavor. Plato, our best source for contextual definitions, uses a compound form of chrio (χρίω) as a verb, meaning "to prick" and "to quarrel." That's a rather ominous start for the word most identifiable with Christendom. Chrio is not used at all by Aristotle, our second best resource.
agat0r 4 years ago
We do find chrio in Greek tragedies, however. In these plays, chrio is used to convey: "to rub someone's body or to stroke oneself." When used in the context of "fats and oils" it means "to smear." For example, poison from the robe of Deianira was chrio onto Hercules' body by way of Deianira's garment. So we have gone from bad to worse, descending into the realm of myth, tragedy, and poison.
agat0r 4 years ago
Chrio is most often used by Homer in the context of the application of drugs designed by men to cure the sick. It is from this usage that we derive the Greek designation for "drugstore." The "c" in Greek chi looks like an "x" (χ) and the Greek rho, has the sound of the English "r" (ρ). They are reversed to form "Rx." This was because chrio described the application of medicines. Today we call them "drugs."
agat0r 4 years ago
Aphrodite is said to have chrio the dead Hector in a pagan sungod religious rite. Weapons were chrio with grease and arrows were chrio with poison. And while none of these connotations is desirable, it gets worse. From the basic sense of "to rub over" we get such meanings as "to color," "to paint over," and "to whitewash," the very thing Satan adores and Yahuweh detests.
agat0r 4 years ago
Whitewashing is central to the Whore of Babylon and every religious and political deception based upon her schemes. Satan knows the truth. He has been in and out of heaven since the beginning. He is four dimensional and thus can, unlike us, maneuver in time. Recognizing the profound and saving truths inherent in Yahuweh's plan, Satan has sought to prevail by painting over them. That way, the truth is hidden and his lies, having been based upon an element of truth, become believable.
agat0r 4 years ago
WHA? are you saying christ doesnt exist or something??
redking15ca 3 years ago
I'm saying that your saviors name is not Lord Jesus Christ. It is Yahushua-which means Yahuweh saves/is salvation(Yahuweh BTW is your creators personal name). Only He(Yahushua) came in the Fathers name. The letter "J" is a recent invention so it is certain that no one named James, and John were walking with Jesus in Jerusalem. That would be impossible. "Christ" is not in scripture a single time. Not one time on any page in any book. Our church leaders are liars!
agat0r 3 years ago
As I recall, its pronounced Yeshua, not Yahushua, which I'm not even sure is a Hebrew word. However, before Yeshua was JehoYeshua, or Joshua, which the Jeho was added to differentiate between Joshua and the Messiah.
Elv3nKn1ght 3 years ago
There is no "J" in Hebrew or Greek. The letter "J" was invented in the 15th century. Therefore, we can be absolutely positive, that there was no James, and John, walking with Jesus in Jerusalem.
agat0r 3 years ago
Ok...you're hardly making sense...I would like proof that it was invented in the 15th century, otherwise, I am not quite sure I believe you. Although I do remember this: Jesus is the translation of Yeshua going through Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and then to English. I'm going to contact someone I know who knows more about this topic so I can get back to you on the subject. I will then give you the answer.
Elv3nKn1ght 3 years ago
How about I just give it to you. It is a fact that there was no "J' in Hebrew. Next, names are not translated, they are transliterated. There are so many people who are unaware of this difference, I am compelled to make a video-my first. Therefore, names do not change when traveling to other lands and languages. Mr. Baker, doesn't become Mr. Panandero(one who bakes) in Spain.
agat0r 3 years ago
My brother found one of his books(one of the over 300) that is titled Y'SHUA, so I beg pardon for mispronouncing it, and it is written by a Jewish scholar named Moishe Rosen. In this book, Moishe says that the Greek word "christos" translates the meaning of the Hebrew word "anointed", which comes into English as Christ. Therefore the word "Christian" is equivalent to "Messianist", a follower of the Messiah.
Elv3nKn1ght 3 years ago
That's wrong also. First problem is that you should be weary of trusting ANY religious man, and certainly the one who is afraid or ashamed of spelling or vocalizing their redeemers personal and proper name. I knew it was a Jew the moment I saw "Y'shua". This is the same guy who will tell you not to pronounce God's name. Look in that book and see if you find "Yah(u)weh". I highly doubt it. You will, however, see "Ha Shem" hundreds of times. That means "the name".
agat0r 3 years ago
First, "christos" was not written a single time in any pre constantine manuscripts. Not once-not ever.
I used "Anointed/Messiah" rather than "Christ" for many reasons. First, used as a name or title, "christos" is not to be found in any Greek New Covenant manuscript prior to Constantine's corruptions. When addressing the Messiah, every one of the earliest manuscripts use a two letter capitalized form similar to the YHWH rendering of Yahuweh's name throughout the Hebrew Scriptures.
agat0r 3 years ago
A line was universally placed over these two letters, signifying Deity.
When applicable to the Messiah, "Anointed" was rendered XS (Chi-Sigma), XU (Chi-Upsilon), XW (Chi-Omega), or XN (Chi-Nu). Interestingly, Rho or "r," the second letter in "christos," was never used, nor was the Tau or "t." I believe the Rho was deleted because it became synonymous with drugs. I believe the Tau was deleted because the "t" symbolized the first sun god, Tammuz, and his cross.
agat0r 3 years ago
Second, had the apostles meant to use "Anointed or Messiah" as a name, rather than as a title or description, they would have transliterated the Hebrew name "Mashiyach" into its equivalent Greek letters to replicate the sound. This was done in John 1:41 where John records Andrew, Simon Peter's brother saying: "We have found the Messias (Messiah)."
agat0r 3 years ago
Then in John 4:24 the Messiah said:
"'God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.' The woman said to Him, 'I know that Messias (Messiah) is coming; when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.' Yahushua said to her, 'I who speak to you am He.'"
It's safe to say Yahshua knows His own name and title better than any contemporary translator.
agat0r 3 years ago
Messiah, as a name or title, is not rendered elsewhere in the New Covenant Writings. So it is evident the apostles were trying to convey the meaning of "mashiyach" which is "anointed" in every other place it is used. Therefore, so should we. Being anointed is central to our relationship, understanding, and salvation.
agat0r 3 years ago
Third, if the apostles only meant to convey the meaning of the Hebrew word "mashiyach" (anointed - to rub, immerse or anoint with oil), and nothing else, they would have translated the Hebrew word into its closest Greek equivalent and been done with it. Yet they didn't. But although they didn't, the post Constantine manuscripts did replace the original two letter format universally found in all of the early manuscripts with "christos."
agat0r 3 years ago
So here's the rub. Should these first Catholics have been correct with their alterations, we should follow their example and translate the meaning of the Greek word into the most similar English one so that we might understand the significance of being anointed. If they were wrong to change Scripture, we should expunge their edits and return to the original nomenclature.
agat0r 3 years ago
And fourth, the reason the oldest manuscripts differ from the more recent ones is that the meaning of the Greek "christos" is not equivalent to the Hebrew "mashiyach." In the Hebrew mind, someone who was anointed with oil was immersed in the true light and spirit of Yahuweh. Olive oil provided the purest source of illumination in their darkness so someone who was anointed with oil was the purest representative of God in that light is symbolic of His nature and His truth.
agat0r 3 years ago
However, in juxtaposition to this, in Greek society, a "christos" was a physician or pharmacist who applied herbal ointments or drugs on people who felt they needed manmade cures. The doctor dispensed these drugs out of a plethora of jars he carried with him in a wooden box marked with the same Rx symbol (the Greek letters Rho Chi), we find on the doors or our drugstores. The ancient Greek dispensers of these drugs did so under the watchful "Eye of Horus" -the pagan god associated with medicine.
agat0r 3 years ago
I am certain that Yahuweh did not intend for men to misrepresent the significance of "anointing" with "drugged."
agat0r 3 years ago
5) My research to date includes the words of Professors including Dr. Charles H. Cosgrove of Princeton Theological Seminary.
I think the facts are clear. You have stated of what you knew nothing of. You are way out of your league and have no right to be stating the things that you have with no real factual knowledge behind it. I think that you should apologize to the folks for leading some of they astray and disquieting them in their faith.
gnich40 4 years ago
What is wrong with you? It simply doesn't matter what this professor says or that one says. Is it in the oldest Greek renewed covenant texts or not? You act as if Comfort and Barrett are in some conspiracy or something. If you would only crack the book, you would learn that all they did was reproduce the oldest extant manuscripts in a book form for you and I to see and or read. The text is in Greek.
agat0r 4 years ago
Since these are the oldest texts on planet Earth and the term "Christ" is not there a single time, perhaps the people misleading you should be the ones apologizing.
"If the things you assert were true we would have to erase 2/3 of the New Testament."
They are true. That's why all you can do is present some guys opinion to refute them. We have to erase nothing. Communicating it properly would do just fine.
agat0r 4 years ago
"and disquieting them in their faith"
That's pathetic and sad. If the truth can "disquiet your faith", clearly you are following a lie. There is no other option here. And if you are following a lie, is it compassionate for someone to sit by idle when they know the truth?
According to God, tolerating errant thinking of spiritual or scriptural matters is inhumane.
agat0r 4 years ago
"My research to date includes the words of Professors"
Mine include the words of God- big difference. Does your research include cracking the book you are assailing? How can you critique a book without owning it? Once you purchase it, you will see that it is simply the oldest manuscripts of the NT in existance(untranslated). Then , I guess, you will see what "right" I have for saying the things I do.
agat0r 4 years ago
I celebrate Christ and merely remember Feast of Tabernacles which foreshadowed Him for so long. And what ever happened to "speaking the truth in love"? Eph. 4:15 If the things you assert were true we would have to erase 2/3 of the New Testament. Certainly Hebrews, Colossians, I John and the Gospels would be gone.
gnich40 4 years ago
"Feast of Tabernacles which foreshadowed Him for so long"
I am interested in you elaborating here. Explain what this moed Miqra foreshadows, please. Do the other 6 miqra foreshadow things as well? What? Thanks
agat0r 4 years ago
If you are correct than I will have to shakle your hand on some platform one day as the premier NT Scholar. But I am not sweating over it.
gnich40 4 years ago
I do not claim to be a scholar, as most are wrong, nor will you see me on some platform. I speak the truth and that as you may know, is a thankless effort that usually results in hostility. It's why not a single media outlet will even have someone like me on for 2 minutes. When your position requires you to run, hide, or censor words, there may be a problem.
agat0r 4 years ago
Needles to say many of the churches are corrupt. However when I say church I mean the body of believers not the manmade instituions. However it is written to come together and worship. There is also a biblical foundation for church leaders. I think there is alot that you and I can agree on.
God's speed
p.s. It is a good thing biblicaly speaking to fear God.
Goobadude 4 years ago
God inspired Isaiah/Yasha'yahu to write...
agat0r 4 years ago
"Then Yahuweh (YHWH) said, 'Forasmuch as these people approach Me with their mouths, and with their lip service, yet they removed their hearts from Me. Their fear (yir'ah) toward Me exists because it is taught (lamad - learned, studied, acquired through the instruction of, is derived) from manmade traditions." (Isaiah/Yasha'yahu 29:12-13)
agat0r 4 years ago
Fearing God makes religions tick. It makes them money and it makes them powerful. People want to be protected from a fearsome deity. And they will do most anything to avoid such a spirit's wrath.
"Needles to say many of the churches are corrupt."
All of them are.
agat0r 4 years ago
"There is also a biblical foundation for church leaders."
Nope. The word "church" doesn't exist in scripture. Furthermore, there isn't to be a paid assembly. Since this is what pays the bills for these preachers, they are breaking His commandments if they observe the Sabbath while being paid to lead services.
agat0r 4 years ago
Since that time no scholar has insisted that we expunge Christ from the Bible or that we scrap the major part of our Doctrinal foundation for the last 2000 years. If this had happened we all would have heard of it in the Network News as it would have been gleefully reported. Also, the churches would be devastated by now and Christmas would have mainly a secular only emphasis. This has not happened.
gnich40 4 years ago
Who cares whether or not a "scholar" insisted anything? It's either in God's word, or it's not. Then, you either believe Him or you don't. If your scenario happened, the end times prophesies wouldn't come true and God wouldn't be reliable or trustworthy. After all, an abhorrence to His name and a luke warm assembly is the signs of the end days. Why would He refer to the "church" as vomit if they were currently awake?
agat0r 4 years ago
Here is my response to the question about Comfort & Barrett GNT. The book had been published in 1999 and was recalled due to numerous errors. It was re-issued by a different publisher in 2001. The book is a compilation of fragments and snippets of manuscripts and not an entire manuscript containing the N. T. Since then it has been in the hands of N.T. Textual Critics including Dr. Bruce Metzger who commented on it in a book he published.
gnich40 4 years ago
Wrong, silly one. You can poo poo all you want but I am challenging you right now to point to a single occurance of "chrio" prior to Constantine's corruptions. BTW, we have these scrolls in our possession. They are there for all to see, so your little conspiracy done by Comfort and Barrett would be verifiable....so do it. Instead of using evidense, reason, rational thought, or even common sense, you attack the messenger.
agat0r 4 years ago
This is no offence to anyone, but arguments and discussions such as these should be conveyed in private messages. For starters, it is common curtesy (in my opinion) for other users who want to make simple comments. And that's another thing: the point of commenting is to comment on the video, not make pages of long replies to others (and it seems this one has been going on for a good seven months).

If you are speaking to me, I would reply with this: Don't trust any man-including me. I asked for people to go there are confirm what I have said. If you can find an error(other than a typo) let me know. You won't. Not only is there a mountain of info, there is a mountain of evidence. It's why you are unable to refute a single word- regardless of how contraversial it is.
agat0r 4 years ago
But most will reject truth and favor of someone tickling their ears with comforting messages that confirm what they have already been led to believe. All I can do is point a light in the right direction. The rest is up to you. I pray you take this challenge.
agat0r 4 years ago
I do not believe I will be back to respond. You believe what you believe agat0r and I respect that. People should know what they believe and why they believe it. I also think you are off the path a little. Felk, you were right. It is not all about the head knowledge.
newkid113 4 years ago
Do not believe everything you see. Both the Father and Christ warn us of false teachers and to test everything against the Lord. Do not take anything agat0r says, or I say, or even your church Pastor says without going to the bible, going to God in prayer and testing it in the fire. Only then will the truth come out.
newkid113 4 years ago
Agat0r, you often use big words to show your knowledge, but often you use misinterpretations. Sometimes you take what one meaning is and use it a little incorrectly, or slightly off. I'm not bashing you whatsoever. I'm glad that you dug into it. Remember, everything about the bible is someones interpretation. Unless you have the exact letters and writings of the original author some things may have changed so you must always test it,
newkid113 4 years ago
understand the history, the audience, the author. The emotions of that time, before and after. Only then can we START to understand. For we can never wholly know the mind of God nor the mind of the writers.
newkid113 4 years ago
"Agat0r, you often use big words to show your knowledge, but often you use misinterpretations"
You made the claim, so back it up. Show me an example of this, please.
agat0r 4 years ago
"Do not believe everything you see. Both the Father and Christ warn us of false teachers and to test everything against the Lord."
That's great advice but had you followed it yourself. you would know that the term "Christ" is errant, and doesn't exist in scipture. Nor does "Lord".
agat0r 4 years ago
" I also think you are off the path a little."
Until scripture says that, it will remain your opinion.
"Felk, you were right. It is not all about the head knowledge. "
Just notice that I am the one using scripture. Does this make sense or not: One can not have a meaningful relationship with someone whom they don't even know the name.
agat0r 4 years ago
Felkster8877 4 years ago
It was not to be disresepectful or anything but merely to try and avoid the profanation of the name YHWH. yes Jews and cabalists dont use it but it was a way to make sense to the people who would read the bible in something other than Hebrew/Greek and later Latin.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
However....Baal (in Hebrew writing) is not spelt the same as ADONAI and does not mean the same as Lord when used in reference to the devil and God respectively. In the ENglish translations the differences are rendered as LORD Lord and lord coz we have a limited language appararently.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
Whatever the meaning is or isnt though, Jesus, YHWH, GOD, is KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS...He is I AM (Ex 3:14) As I stated before that pretty much covers everything. If you were to ask God any question..are you Lord of all? I AM. Are you the healer? I Am. Are you the one who saves? I AM. etc If I had to choose one name and one name only, it would be I AM.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
We could(and apparently have)go backwards and forwards all day with this mate but I really do not want to do that. I have been educated (by researching the names) and for that I thank you. However, my point still stands about a personal relationship. My wife can be called her name, my wife, love, sweetheart etc etc...doesnt change the fact of her name and the relationship I have with her.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
What it boils down to as a Christian is that relationship with our Lord and Savour Jesus Christ. Technically all scripture whether Hebrew Greek or English is an interpretation by a man and therefore until we get to heaven and meet God himself, we go with what we have...and whatever you may say...God knows we are talking to and about Him.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
So once again, lets agree to disagree ...but really agree...and enjoy the grace mercy and salvation we can live in being set free from our sins and living an eternal live with God. Thats what I am looking forward to and my relationship with God whilst Im down here is just an appetizer for a much great meal to come.
God bless you and I wish you all the best.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
May Yahuweh's spirit be with you and yours brother. I love your response(the facts could be corrected but I'll abstainLOL). Here's the deal: I am passionate and flawed, but have good intentions. There is so much wrong with the "church", it would take a week to write it. We are so wrapped up in pagan sun god worship, it sickens me. We are lied to by every single church in america. Every one!
agat0r 4 years ago
We shun God, and celebrate Pagan rites and rituals. By ignoring His instructions, we become blind lemmings who think a loving God would say "love me or burn in hell". Sound loving to you? We'll think the Earth is 6000 years old, and all humans and all animals were killed when the waters rose above every mountain on Earth during the deluge. This does God a disservice and makes a mockery of scripture.
agat0r 4 years ago
It is why not one church goer I have every spoken to, knows when "Jesus" came to our aid. It's also why we don't know when He'll return. The reason for this is because we think Christmas is scriptural and affiliared with Yahuweh. On and on it goes until we have crafted a God in our image, replete with truine gods with distint personalities. PPL in the pews are mainly those who have blind faith. They have no other choice.
agat0r 4 years ago
This process leads men astray. It is precisely what kept me away from God for over 30 yrs. I can only imagine how many others are kept out because they did what I did and made the mistake of looking for God through the church. I thought the church represented God. Therefore, when the church didn't make sense, it made God look foolish.
agat0r 4 years ago
It only started to make sense when I realized that God and I both thought the church was foolish-actually all religions.
Look at Muslims: They think that Jesus was just a man and strip all deity from Him. Muslims think they attain paradise(which is a brothel) by killing the choosen PPL of the God of Abraham.
agat0r 4 years ago
In 70 ad, the Romans destroyed Israel and made sure that we could never again trace the lineage BUT Jews are still waiting for a Messiah to come in the line of David. This is the non sense religion brings. We are to expose it. By exposing these ignorant man made schemes, His family can be enlarged. It's the only way!
agat0r 4 years ago
Truth is the only weapon against deception, brother. That is why I have known for 5 years that we stand no chance in a "war against terror". Terror is a tactic, not a foe. Until we tell the truth about the impending danger, we don't have a snowballs chance. To prove this lie, I guarantee that you are unaware of it. We haven't even announced an enemy. Whose the enemy? Do you know? Not likely. You certainly haven't heard it on a media outlet. Bombs and bullets can't beat a lie.
agat0r 4 years ago
That's why the "last days" are unfolding right before your eyes. The only, and I mean ONLY way this could succeed is to have an ignorant audience. It's why God spoke on the issue of tolerating lies so often. It even made His top ten list. But heedless of what Yahuweh etched in stone and ignorant of what He revealed through His prophets and apostles, we have tolerated, even condoned all manner of error. It is the reason the world is in a mess today.
agat0r 4 years ago
The church is mired in Satanic deception rather than grounded on Yahuweh's Word. God has given us His prescription for healthy living. According to our Maker, tolerating error is inhumane. When lies go unrefuted, and liars go unshamed, society deteriorates and countless souls are damned. At the same time, the other side of that is when Truth is brought into the light, we no longer are dealing with appetizers- it's a feast.
agat0r 4 years ago
The entire portrait comes together. God's timeline emerges and makes sense, and every question is answered. It sounds like you are rational, Felkster. Even though you were lied to about the name, you looked for info. That's all it takes. But believe it or not, it is a rare attribute to find, so I applaud your willingness. Because of this,I invite you to YadaYahweh dot com
agat0r 4 years ago
There, you will find a mountain of knowledge. It is w/o question, the best site I have ever run into. Everything is free, and the only intent there, is to spread the truth- regardless of how many man made lies it skewers. All scripture is amplified like you have never seen before. There is great love and dedication to God there. It is unabashed, in your face truth, but it is like having a conversation with Yahuweh. Please go there and confirm this for yourself. In Yahuweh's shem
agat0r 4 years ago
You also mention how christians do not follow the Old Covenant God had with the Israelites. Those laws were God's way of administering to his people AT THAT TIME. After Christ came, there was forgivness instead of punishment, life instead of death. Christ said he was the fullfillment of the law. I'm not saying we cannot still obey them. God's moral absolutes have not changed. The consequences are different.
newkid113 4 years ago
agat0r you also say you know when the rapture and all that is coming. You may think you know, but even Jesus himself says that not even he knows, but only the father. Many people have "known" exactly when it was going to happen, and it never has. When the Christ, who is God, does not know, how can man know?
newkid113 4 years ago
thank u mate! like I told agat0r before....he/she searched so hard for the truth that they missed the point - what Jesus really came for.

It was a place of much death, and during Christ days it was a burning pit.
newkid113 4 years ago

Unfortunately, this is one of the few Renewed Covenant passages outside of our relative dearth of Mark, Philemon, 1 John, and Jude manuscripts that is not extant in an early papyrus.
agat0r 4 years ago
The scrolls and books which have survived are late, fourth century at best and they differ. While Yahushua said that He is a diminished manifestation of Yahuweh, a requirement to keep His presence from incinerating our planet, the notion that the Father would know something the Son doesn't conflicts with the testimony of Scripture. After all, Yahshua is the Word.
agat0r 4 years ago
That said, we must ask ourselves. What day is He speaking about? Why was He so careful with His words using "de para eleomps hemera kai hora oudeis oida." And why are we so careless with them? Most translations completely ignore de. In English Bibles para is mistranslated "of" rather than "the immediate vicinity."
agat0r 4 years ago
Further, ekeinos is a very exacting term and usually speaks to "one definite and often distinct entity." It's an "emphatic and specific" term. To render ekeinos "that" misses the point of the word. And oida isn't the usual Greek word for "know." Ginosko is. Oida conveys the idea of simply recognizing something, being aware of it, or just appreciating it.
agat0r 4 years ago
Ginosko implies empirical knowledge. It means to know something through the study of the evidence or through experience. While both words can be translated "know," oida is a much fuzzier term and only suggests that people won't be aware of this one day, that they won't recognize it for what it is. They will be unable to properly perceive, discern, or even notice its connection to other Scriptural references.
agat0r 4 years ago
The testimony which follows this challenging verse tells us that "the one specific day" Yahushua was speaking of could either be the pre-Tribulation harpazo/harvest or His final advent. But since forty-three of the next forty-five verses are dedicated to concepts related to the rapture with only the remaining two potentially focused on His return it's reasonable to assume that the one specific day where the hour is unknown pertains to the harvest.
agat0r 4 years ago
Moreover, all one has to do is combine an understanding of the Yowbel with the Messiah's previous statements and the Day of His return to earth in judgment and light becomes obvious.
agat0r 4 years ago
Therefore, if He were addressing it again, He would be contradicting Himself. And remember, it can't be both days because Yahushua used the very emphatic ekeinos, not the generic hos for "that." God wasn't speaking generically about all prophetic fulfillments - just about one. The "no one will recognize or know it" speaks to "a definite day," and not about all others.
agat0r 4 years ago
Would that include remebering His Sabbath? Has that been done away with, also? Who said? Those things are just for Jews, huh? Was God confused when He said "these are MY convocations"? And that they should be observed "owlam". That word means "forever". That's all it means. Therefore, His meetings are HIS(not Jews) and are to be observe forever. That's what scripture says.
agat0r 4 years ago
So I read what some people had to say and found some of it disappointing. Agat0r you talk about what the word Lord means yet you dont seem to understand the works of translation. Lord, Father, God, are translations from the different hewbrew words there are for him. Such as Adonai and others.
newkid113 4 years ago
I understand just fine, my friend. I know what Translation is and I know what transliteration is. If Yahuweh was to say "Lord" there is a perfectly good Hebrew word for it- Ba'al. Look it up in any Hebrew dictionary on Planet Earth.

If you want to get really techincal about God's name, there are no vowels in it either. It's Yhwh
newkid113 4 years ago
Not a single word of the Old Covenant in Babylonian Hebrew included vowels, that would be true of the entire text of the Tanach. To question Yahuweh and accept the vocalization of all other words, is irrational.

I choose to believe the Bible because it's a reliable collection of historical documents written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.

thank you for the insight Todd.
God bless you.

"Todd is not refering to a pagan holiday here"
Christmas is Pagan. Period! It's has 100% of it's roots in Babylon and thus Satanic. Yahuweh even tells us NOT to do it in Jeremiah.
agat0r 4 years ago
After reading every one of your extremely eloquent, detailed and obviously learned posts arguing again Christmas, Jesus and Easter, I want to ask you a couple of things. 1) What "religion" are you (and I use that word for lack of a better one) - obviously not a Christian as Christ apparently is a pagan term 2)Where and what - did you study to gain this wealth of knowledge?
Felkster8877 4 years ago
I ask because I am a Christian and proud of it. I unashamedly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as we are instructed to do - as you would agree - and have no problem cutting to the chase if God lays something on my heart to say to a brother/sister (or an unsaved person).
Felkster8877 4 years ago
I however have a problem with the whole argument that just coz Christmas/Easter started as a pagan festival we cant use it to celebrate the birth/death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That which the devil meant for evil God uses for good. Thats what the olden day beleivers did...turned the festival around to focus on God and what was accomplished....how many more people celebrate it now as a Christian festival than a pagan one? Many MANY more I would say.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
The reason December 25th and sometime in March or April were chosen WAS to coincide with the ancient festivals yes...BUT they could have easily have chosen ...say September 15th..and we'd all be sitting round eating turkey and opening gifts today! Would it make a difference? NO!!!! its about the message BEHIND the holiday.....
Felkster8877 4 years ago
It gives us the chance when the focus is totally on Christmas / Easter to talk about the reason why we celebrate those times. What Christ came to do etc. Yes we should do that every single day obviously but its easier to get thru to people when the whole mood and focus is on the event...as it is at Christmas and Easter.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
SO whilst I totally respect your obviously learned and well thought out argument, I just cant agree with you wholeheartedly. Does that make me wrong...blind...a follower of Satan? No...it makes me someone who it free from the law and semantics that religion (and yes...it is religion) places on people so that the point is lost.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
I am secure enough in my spirit and my relationship with God to call it Christmas, Easter, Jesus Christ and celebrate the fact that He was born and then was sacrificed as the O.T. lamb so that my sin nature was taken and I am saved, forgiven, sanctified, justified by grace.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
May God bless you and I truly do admire your obvious thirst for knowledge and unashamed stand up for what you beleive.
Now Im actually gonna listen to Todd talk...coz I havent done so as I've been too busy writing.
Felkster8877 4 years ago
The christmas debate is one I wont go into, but easter coincides with the jewish passover. That is factual and theres no way around that.
newkid113 4 years ago
"I have a problem with the whole argument that just coz Christmas/Easter started as a pagan festival we cant use it to celebrate the birth/death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
That is scary. So ya know that it is an abomination to God and it celebrates Baal as the birth of a new sun god, but you think it is OK to link it to scripture and associate the purely Satanic ritual to the God of Abraham-even when He tells you not to??????????
