what do I do.. Im in foreclosre of a property that dropped 240k within 6 months. I bought it at 740k and six months later is now valued at 5k. I want to keep my home for my two kids. I am single and working long hours as you can see.. I'm researching the internet why my kids sleep to help myself find a solution. please help me as soon as possible.
I like what your doing jpalme and am learning some things, but having been familiar with much of what you are sharing, I'd agree with Amidhuffer that cash in a jar (particularly if you live in the US) is hardly immune to hyperinflationary conditions, which everything else you describe (and we agree on) certainly create the risk of.
Ha, Maybe George Soros will come in and do the same thing he did in Eastern Euorope buying industries for fraction of their worth and reak some more havoc on the investor class, the vultures are cirlcing.
I'm not a financial advisor, but I'd look at pulling my money into cash for the next quarter. As you can see by the fluxuations of the world economy, there is a lot of fear and panic in the market.
Cash for now, then move back in after the 3rd quarter.

We're looking global Weimar style hyperinflation. Your jar of cash won't help.
