my fav piece of music is "Come What May" by Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgregor. its from the movie soundtrack of Moulin Rouge. i love it so much i have Come What May tattooed on my back in a heart and a blue rose. to me its a nice way of saying shit happens lol and its a love son which i love. i always get chills when i listen to it.
just use the soap and add a bit less, no problem ! I would have all you need to burn that on a CD but... I'm in Switzerland... it is actually quite simple but you need a pre-amp from terratec, take care !!!
I have just tried using that soap and nothing nasty happened!!! Thanks for your advice and suggestions - I am going to investigate further about burning CDs! - roc
My altime favorite song would be "sing your praise to the lord" by amy grant. Manly because of the paino amazing makes my heart light and tingly. I love LOUD orchestra music in the car all by self. : )
Jeez! We used to just buy laundry detergent. Now we have a whole aisle of "choices," but even a special one for front loaders?? Of course they all say "concentrated," which is meaningless. Is there an 800 number on the jug?
Favorite piece of music: "Finlandia." Favorite song: tough, but I'd go with Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." Or Zep's "Stairway to Heaven." Or maybe Arlo's "Alice's Restaurant." Or... Hey! I said it's tough.
If the turntable still works, you can do it on your own computer.
We've used that Cheer in a top loader with no problem. Maybe just use a little less since they say it's "concentrated."
As far as a favorite piece of music, I could NEVER pick one. I sing all songs right to the end, and if I don't know the words I just make up my own! :)
I mistakenly bought the detergent for the front loading machine. I used it anyway and find it works better! I also have a top loader. I just use a tad bit less but I make sure it is well mixed with the water before I add the clothes. I noticed my machine seems cleaner and the clothes aren't as linty (I have a lint problem). Go for it! You might like it.
WOW I didn't have answers for any of your questions today Roc. But I see that you did get answers so all is good. My favorite song is by Sarah McLachlan.Prayer of St. Francis. I know that others have done it too but I like hers the best. Not only do I have to listen to it all the way through but I have to listen to it at least 3 times. Which also makes ppl nuts so I try to do it when I'm alone.

Hey Roc! I see from all your other comments that you got answers to all your questions and even found your LP on the internet and have ordered it! Yay!! This internet and all our friends are just amazing aren't they? I love your purple iPod.. Brian would be jealous.. I will get him a new one for Christmas.. LOL The one you got takes video too! You know I play my music every day and I always listen to every song all the way through since it is what I put on my iPod and I love it all!! Luv U
3) Have Pat connect your thingy to listen to that LP...is it an LP? Then record it to your mac, then you can convert the file and upload it to your iPod...I think that should work???
3) I could never pick only 1 song I enjoy. I could pick my favourite song for today: Ricardo Arjona's Dime que no :)
4) You don't know how to use your iPod yet? Next time we chat on the phone, i'll try to give you a crash course!
1) The HE detergent...your friend Deb said what I was going to tell you. I have a washer that requires HE detergent and the sales guy at Sears told me it was because of the suds.
2) I used to have a 1st generation ipod :( It's one of the many i've left behind on airplanes by mistake. I have an iTouch now! You could of told me it drove you nuts when I only listen to half of the song! I'm better about it when I'm driving alone, but some songs I know peopl
What if you just switched the silver lid with the blue lid with the other bottle? Would that work?? :P Hope it works OK for you.
The kids today would never be able to deal with 8 tracks. Not only couldn't you skip a song, but you may have to listen to the whole "channel" to hear the song you like. I love Nina Simone & listen to her albums from start to finish.
I haven't read the other responses, so forgive me if I'm repeating someone's reply.
I went to Google and asked the detergent usage question. Briefly, here's what I found...
Although you can use any kind of laundry detergent in a top-loader, your detergent selection may be a bit limited with a front-loading machine, depending on the manufacturer. Most manufacturers of front-loading washers recommend using an HE low-sudsing detergent; these are becoming more widely available all the time.
So it looks as though your top-loader will accept the low-sudsing detergent much more easily than a front-loader will accept normal-sudsing detergents. You might find you'll need to use more of the front-loader detergent in your top-loader to achieve the amount of suds you're accustom to seeing. Which reminds me, I have some whites soaking in my top-loader. It's time for me to reset and resume the wash cycle. I want my whites as white as they can possibly get, but they never look like new.
Roc! How cool to see you again! Lovely. No answers for you - sorry. Hopefully other people will know. I can ask my son though about uploading from an LP - it probably means hooking your record player up to your computer in some way so that instead of playing on your speakers it would output to your hard drive - but what do I know? Hey, his car stereo can play from jump drives, mp3 players and loads of stuff I don't know about. It rocks. I listen to news not music anymore.
Hi Liz. Thanks to other comments, I have been able to order my music over the internet! Amazing! I am excited! AND I have learned I may use my soap. This is good since it was not cheap! - roc
Those are beautiful cards and how sweet was that of her to send you change and then you turned around and tore it up...now that is what you call friendship! Hahaha...love your smile at the end! ;)
Hi Tammy. AND, you paid at the Cracker Barrel. I remember because I didn't have to pay for that wet green stuff that tasted like cows had tromped through it. I probably owe you money.
GIGI!!!! How are you?? I, too, think of you often! I have our pictures up on my computer! We made some great memories! ACDC is great. What is new with you? Make a video when you can - I always search for you! - roc

I was really looking for MP3s of the record but I stumbled across the Amazon link. I couldn't find it with a search on Amazon CA. So I took the link I had for the COM and changed it to CA and there you go. Aight! :-)

and for the soap who cares if the store dont sell it buy one with the blue cap switch it and return it what do they know maybe they had 1 bottle with the gray cap on it mixed thru the blue caps bottle!
Yes, you are right. From the comments below, it seems as though I can just use it though. So I will probably do that! I am also going to investigate further about the conversion to CD. It can't be that complicated! Thanks for the help.
Thanks, Bonnie. Really, I need to think things through more. I never (or rarely) check on the internet - I just suffer in silence until I can't stand it anymore!

Hmmmmmmm. Interesting. I will check it out, Cole. Thanks. Although I do have to remark that it might be easy for you. I've never visited limewire. Will it have a nasty virus or ugly thing it will load onto my computer? - roc
Limewire is a peer-to-peer program that allows you to download music/movies from other people on the internet and they download from you. Just like any music downloading it isn't legal (copyright laws).
You have to be careful with limewire to put the setting right because otherwise people can browse files on your computer. Limewire does have viruses on it but if you have a good virus checker you should be okay.
Go to Costco where they sell the blank DVD's. Theres a product there that lets you transfer from cassette and vhs. i think it does LPs too. It's just a little box with a couple of cables that you plug into your player and your computer. BUT, Pat would have to hook it up to play!! lol I don't remember how much it was, sorry.
Catherine, I will go and check the next time I am in Costco! Thanks! I'll give Pat a nudge and get him to hook up the turntable. Neferkit (also Pat!) below commented that she found a copy in CD on the French Amazon page! I just might buy the cd! - roc
up to his car and loves it. He now has my old one and it will only be a matter of time before he wants something with more than 2 gigs of space. SO I think for Christmas he is going to get a really nice big ipod, even though his iphone hooks up to his car as well. These people. I'd never know how to do it. My favorite song..I don't think I really have one, though if I did, it would be a Hawaiian song as they speak more to me than anything else would...
I sucked in my breath too. I told her try the rice trick (put in a bag of rice to suck out the wet)..but it was too late, he was a boy and opened it up and messed with it and broke something else. Boys!
I clearly remember Tammy saying at the murder mystery that you were both square and she'd spent all your money. But then I do remember now that they gave you guys the great deal on the hotel room (we didn't). That was nice of her to send it to you and you to rip it up lol. And nice of Gigi to send you some ABQ coffee. And I'm glad you like the magnet. I haven't put it on the fridge yet, because I like seeing it every day :) I gasped at your purple ipod. I am the J word now.Scott hooks his
Scott is going to love his Christmas present! The purple ... well, I just could no longer resist and bought the treasure. And an auxiliary plug. And the clear plastic cover to keep it safe. Gigi's coffee was good - and so was yours - especially when Pat lost count and plopped one extra scoop! Yum!! Tammy forgot that we gave $ to Gigi for driving us everywhere.
Yes, I remember that! She took back your car and gave the money to Gigi. I should have done the same thing, but I could not have Gigi get up at 3 a.m. to take me to the airport. That would sooo not be fair!!
try using the cheer just dont use as much as usuall. I dont think it will hurt, or call up the company they should be able to tell ya hon, good luck, Lesli
I am excited, Pat! I went to the French Amazon and saw my old album. I bought it in 1971 when I was there. Thanks so very much!! I just might take a chance and order it! It is very rare for me to order stuff on the internet. - roc
We have a turntable at work - that puts records into a computer and then they are downloadable onto a cd. Any Queen, ACDC, Stones, Squier, Mardones, or Aerosmith..and I listen all the way through!! :D Your a GREAT friend Roc! I am so glad I got to meeet you at ST3!! :)
I wish I had known about your turntable, Tony! I would have brought the album to ST and begged you! Interesting music choices. I don't know Squier. I am off to check.
I think the laundry detergent will work just fine in your machine, and here we can buy a doodah that attaches to the pc that you can play your vinyl record on and it burns it to a cd and it costs £30.
The card from Tammy is deliciously gorgeous and so is your new purple i-pod. I don't have one.........yet
Twish Twish Twish!! How are you?? You gotta get yourself an Ipod. I will investigate further about converting vinyl - There has to be something here. - roc
I have no idea how you could get that record burned to cd...I'll ask around, maybe my son knows...We listen to such a variety of music, it would be hard to pin down a favorite. Cool new ipod!! Miss you so much!! Blessigs, Ang
I know there are machines specifically made to transfer vinyl to MP3 format. They are for sale at The Source. My boyfriends mom has one...I think they average around 100.
Hi Roc!! If I remember correctly the only difference between top load and front load detergent is that the top load suds more so it should be fine to use the front load detergent in your top load machine, I think...lol
Yes, you can use high efficiency detergent in a top loading washers. You may notice less sudsing, but it'll be ok. No need to use more or less. Just use the same amt.
You've got a pathetic smile. When you said 'happy sunday'.

Yum!! Tammy forgot that we gave $ to Gigi for driving us everywhere.
popparoc46 2 years ago
Yes, I remember that! She took back your car and gave the money to Gigi. I should have done the same thing, but I could not have Gigi get up at 3 a.m. to take me to the airport. That would sooo not be fair!!

juju and pjapassions already answered the detergent question, so I'll chime in about the cd,
They have the cd on amazon's french website. I'll PM you the direct link for it.

Yes, I am glad to know you too. - roc

- roc
popparoc46 2 years ago
Yep, what juju said about the detergent.

My boyfriends mom has one...I think they average around 100.
semchick 2 years ago
I am going to check them out. I have about 50 vinyl albums I would like to convert! Thanks! - roc

Hi Roc!! If I remember correctly the only difference between top load and front load detergent is that the top load suds more so it should be fine to use the front load detergent in your top load machine, I think...lol

Ohhhh that is what we call a failure on Dan's knowledge xD haha i was never good in geography!!!
JustAVlogger 2 years ago
Yes, you can use high efficiency detergent in a top loading washers. You may notice less sudsing, but it'll be ok. No need to use more or less. Just use the same amt.
juju58 2 years ago
Thanks, Julie! I was worried that the suds would overflow! I guess it was a silly question, but it's been sitting there for so long! - roc
