@Quikquik98 I see what you're saying. The melodies aren't very similar, but the general tone is. I wouldn't have thought to compare the two. Blue Fields has so much more going on in it melodically and harmonically. When I listen to this, I can't get my mind off how masterfully crafted it is. "Are You a Hypnotist" never really wowed me.

Nobuo Uematsu is a musical genius. This theme always had your curiosity piqued as to what else was out there. You were slightly afraid to venture further, yet that never stopped you. You just had to know why that forest was shaped like that or why it was a particular time of day over here, etc

I have to admit, after i played FF7 , i was expecting a sort of similair overworld theme.

I was kinda dissappointed when i heard this, but how longer you listen to it how more you begin to like it. It kinda grows on you. At the end of the game, i ended up loving it.

@00NeVaN00 It's rather easy. Put it to sleep and kill it, and if it wakes up, put it back to sleep. Or if you were like me and didn't have the sleep spell, keep hitting it, then focus on healing if someone's about to die. Simple as that.

Ah the memories! The very first JRPG I ever played. Probably not the best one to go with for a newbie since it was more complicated than previous games. It took playing FFVII for me to understand how JRPGs actually work. But once I did, I came back to VIII and enjoyed it all the more. VIII is not my favorite FF yet somehow the one with the fondest memories...if that makes any sense.

FF 8 was the first Final Fantasy I played. And compared to other FF it sure has some lack in gameplay sometimes. But I didn't even notice that while I was playing because the story and the soundtrack was - no, I mean IS - so FUCKING AWESOME. I wanna play this game all over again right now!

btw. don't know why but the soundtrack of the PS version always sounds kinda different to the PC version..
