My Rottie mix has always known how to daintily eat from a fork, spoon, and even chopsticks! He was never trained or taught to use "excellent utensil manners"; in fact, we have always been puzzled by this. It's so cute, and really amazing that a dog's table manners can naturally surpass those of most people I see ;-)
@brattygurl271 check out my blog and read "so you want a rottweiler". Please do your diligence in researching the right breed for you.. A good code of ethics rottweiler breeder will not sell a rottie to a first time owner unless they have owned working breeds before. You must have a lot of time, space, good understanding of the breed and training a working breed, money, love, consistency, and a life long commitment. Thanks!
@brattygurl271 : I agree with choppergirlJune. It's great that you like Rotties; I love em to death as well, as they are so goofy and lovable. However, I advice that only experienced dog owners should consider getting a Rottie - they need a firm hand to guide them :) I wish you all the best, and hope you will learn or have enough experience to eventually get yourself a Rottie in the future.
@brattygurl271 brush them daily because they shed alot. but once you train it, it will pay off because rotts are so loyal and loving. i love mine til death do us part. and i mean til death
love the videos of Oscar you post ...they present our wonderful breed in the way us the "responsible" rottweiler owners know and love them ...thank you
@brattygurl271 Thank you :) Working breeds are a whole nother ball game... Must be an experienced owner and have a very firm understanding of the breed... I receive emails every week from people that get rotties and are in over their head and now are threatened to go to a rescue.. :(

@VideoChannel08 i am so sorry..... it is heartbreaking... you love them like family. Hang on to all your beautiful memories. i also lost a rottie to cancer (osteosarcoma)..
They say feeding garlic to dogs keeps fleas and ticks away. I tried a small amount on our Rottie, but it just made her sick for two days. Too bad...it would be better than any chemical.
@cksilverado1 Very small amounts (less than a clove) about once every two weeks... i give oz chopped garlic in olive oil mixed in his food. But always check with your vet first!
my dads dog zoe gets the bones from prim rib roast. id take 2 to my friends house a block away his rotty was named sosa. as soon as id walk in shed know i had somethin in my pocket for her. sosa passed away last year around christmas. but she got a baconator on her 2nd last day.
Haha Oz is awesome. My rottie Bella does the same thing. She's so gentle. Its my little beagle mix that leaves me counting fingers after snack time haha
Spoiled spoiled Rottie!!! Just like my Rosie.... aren't rotties just the best!!! Oz is so beautiful and well mannered..... I love watching all your video's!
he seems so nice and well tempered just like any rottweiler i have ever met. however, i heard that you shouldn't spoil them because it makes them feel like they're the ones in charge. is that true? i have only had labs and they're so docile that we've never had any behavioral problems with them.
my heart is sold on getting a rottweiler although I've never actually owned a dog i feel i have to personality to own one..what are your thoughts?

Is cooked garlic ok for dog?
wow0yunnies 1 year ago
@wow0yunnies yes it is but not every day.. it is a natural flea retardant but also in the onion family so can be toxic if you feed to much.
