  • Mixing 80% Hoppes #9 and 20% Ballistol works well. Let it soak over night.

  • I just got one, its not as heavy as everyone said it was going to be. Nice gun. There is so much rambling crap on you tube it is amazing. you could also use 3m scotch bright works just as well. Nice gun!

  • @Mainerism I understand about the scorch marks. Some like it and accept it as simply something that happens when you use a gun. As you said, to each his own. As lazy as I am, I'm not one to do any extra machining on my firearm. It is lead, and scrubbing with a brass brush hasn't been productive for me, but the birchwood casey product works.   • Yeah, that carbon residue and leading happens all the time whenever you use .38 Spl in a .357 mag, .44Spl in a .44 mag, even .22 Short/Long in a .22 LR firearm. Cowboy action shooters reload their .357 casings with .38 powder charges, so they avoid the residue and don't hurt their wrists during competitions.
