According to these sources, who spoke with us on condition of anonymity, Haley’s “hostile takeover” of DHEC is nothing but a money grab. Specifically, Haley wants to seize control of health care funds that are currently routed through DHEC – and place those funds exclusively under the purview of her cabinet health czar, Tony Keck.
