@TruePlank Don't forget that Frog's Theme transitions into "To Far Away Times", also from Chrono Trigger. The sequence is taken directly from the FMV ending made for the PSX release of CT, but this arrangement is about 50 times as awesome.
Everytime I watch this video, I always end up crying because the music is so good. And it brings back fond memories of me playing this game. It was one of the first games that I have ever beaten
Anybody knows how can I get those Scores of this Concert? I'm a condoctor and really would like to play this work piece with my orchestra. OR if you 've have how to contact how has it, please let me know. thank you.
@MrDarkInzain Did i say Anything about stockholm was in Norway? PLAY! is also in the capital of Norway, Oslo!! think a little bit before you comment..
I love this medley... but.... it really did end weakly. After all that music that was invigorating and emotional, all they can do is end the final song with a held note? I wish they could have created an appropriate ending or used a song that had a suitable ending. Still a fantastic medley performed just as fantastically.
I agree with you here. They should've ended this piece with a flourish to keep with the emotional consistency. The conclusion would've been better had there been a section from an original work (a la what Jonne Valtonen did with Symphonic Fantasies--specifically the Final Fantasy medley).
Hell yeah, I was there 2night 2! front seats in the loge, F*ing amazing, especially Oblivion, but Anything related to Chrono Trigger/Cross is amazing as well Nobuo Uematsu RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dude i was there too!! i was in the 4th row. it was fickin crazy!!! god..i loved it. i liked the mario and sonic, and oblivion songs. and i loved the frickin one winged angel at the end!
gah me too. i think i was 3rd row actually. it was brilliant. i went to Video Games Live in Kalamazoo, Michigan in March, and it was amazing too-they did Chrono Trigger music and One Winged Angel too
They should've played for at least one more hour, that would've been awesome. I have this piece recorded with DV-cam from the 19th of march, uploading all my vids from there today :)
This music is amazing. Reminds me of my youth. The embellished arrangement of Reminiscence is absolutely beautiful. My favorite part by far is the French horn. Of course, I'm biased. French horn players for the win. Amazing depth and tone quality. 6 stars out of 2. Haha.
I was so sad they didn't play CT/FF here in Edmonton. There is another Play! coming this summer to Winnipeg and I am going to hit it on my truck back to NS in hopes of hearing FF/CT.
Well, indeed the Chrono Trigger compostitons were made in the beginning by Yasunori Mitsuda but he fell ill and Nobuo Uematsu finished the tracks. Chrono Cross was made, the whole tracks, by Yasunori Mitsuda.
So, I guess you're right, at least, at some certain point ;D.
Thanks for "the bump" mate (and wikipedia! ;D) ;D there's nothing to sorry about. A DARLE!

yes I totally agree... When I played oblivion for the first time... the intro movie music sucked me in to the story line like nothing else. The calm passing music made me feel like I should, and do, belong in the world... Loved it so much I bought the soundtrack to the game... absolutely beautiful
True, but as well as great, the music must also fit the scene/area. I have seen a couple games where the music was great, but didn't fit the area at all.
Just to let you all know that they are recording at the Rudolfinum on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 to put it on CD to release it in either June or July. Woohoo!

Chrono Cross - "Time's Scar" (main theme)
Chrono Trigger - "Frog's Theme"
Highly recommend looking into both soundtracks!
