If you watch Alan Didak or Gary Ablett you will see that its not all about big hits but its about working out the angles of a ball that, quite frankly, is retarded, dodging and weaving, and also being brave enough to run against the run of flow. AFL also averages more than 7000 fans a game. They average at least 20000 or more.

bro, in NZ most people laugh at AFl. It is looked upon by the majority of the public as being a very soft sport played by skinny little white boys. Not enough physical contact in AFL for it to take off in NZ. That is why kiwis love the skill and toughness of rugby and enjoy watching the brutality of rugby league. If you are ever in a pub in NZ when a game of AFL was tried to be shown people start laughing and saying how soft the aussies are and it is turned over real quick.
