  • VERY TASTY!!! love those Licks! I'M STEALING THEM!

  • you should invite ron jeremy..

im sure he will help you make a video for this music.

  • @guitarralaraja LOL

  • On my website, at the page "audio & video", you can find the charts with tabs of all the licks.

    Thanks,

    Mimmo

  • sounds great man!

  • your awefully smiley. i guess thats cause your sick. i like that forth one a lot!

  • great licks mate =) may i ask what guitar you are playing? =) thanks and keep it up =D

  • Each song suggest different melodies. Of course you can recognize unconscious licks in some musicians, that´s called STYLE, MUSIC PERSONALITY. The hole concept of improvization collapses when you, instead of expressing what you feel with that piece, try to remember a pattern, (or play it automatically). If you think about it, it has no sense, I mean, It´s NO MORE improvization that way.

  • get over it

  • Anyone can memorize patterns playing them over and over again, where is the true improvization, eh?

  • So can you?

  • Anyone can, there´s some exceptions of course... If you can´t, maybe is because: you have very baaad memory, (that´s a really serious problem, don´t worry about the patterns); or you need to improve your technique.

  • I sad: - So can you do a true improvisation???

  • It´s a matter of repetition, and at the end, guess what? ALL YOUR SOLOS SOUND IDENTICAL!!!! anyone with good ears can tell :) That´s why some (good) jazz musicians alvoid the patterns. Do some research, I´ve been paying for 18 years, I don´t need to prove anything. Of course I can.

  • Good for you, because for me it's very hard! Therefore, because you've been playing for "18 years", instead criticize others instructional videos, why don't you do a instructional video yourself, and share your knowledge??

I'll really apreciated, cause I am interesing to learn

  • You only need TIME, a lot of time playing the right way, then start increasing speed. And STUDY harmony, theory, rithm, melody, scales. I used to go to the book store an buy almost any harmony book I found, I was very fanatic, it´s the only way. I don´t play for a living, I don´t promote myself with commercial purposes so I don´t have time to do an instructional video, sorry.

  • You know bro, I don't agree with you. Despite of the fact that harmony and theory are important for improvisation, I never heard a one single player in this world that improvised without using even thou a small pattern!!!!

From Charlie Parker to Allan Holdsworth, in some way, when you listen, you always hear some clichés or licks in their music.

  • Even an improvising human discourse, in some how, has his patterns. In that way, what is rhetoric and oratories for the human discourse, is the theory of the improvisation for music.

  • I´m not trying to change your mind here, this is just what I learnt listening musicians who has interesting things to say.

  • I understood what you said. But I believe the licks are great pedagogical tools. When you don't have what you called "style, or music personality", you can use licks as a guide to develop it. Everybody must to begin from somewhere and, when you don't control the "target note technique, a lick can be very useful.

  • you are gay bluesteel

  • If you want to suck a dick look somewhere else, loser.

  • mimmo are you playing in fourths or sixths

  • Mimmo,

I just discovered you. Your great! Come to Las Vegas and play.

  • Nice!

  • we need tabs!

    GIVE US TABS!

    HEIL TO THE TABS!

  • use your ear. im sick of people asking for tabs. be a true musician and use your ear.

  • you are so right, that is funny how people always ask for tabs Please people develope you ears ears ears !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @fishytank1land bad answer man tabs and ear are there to work together

  • Oh, yes . . . I like.

  • dead or just diminished :o)

  • great job man but if you're playing that over a cmin9 chord, wouldn't that make it lydian licks ? LOL

  • Tali, come on man! You need too "look" more closely LOL. He is using the Bb major scale over Cmin9. That's dorian... He's throwing in some "extra" notes here and there which show's he's an experienced player. I very commonly do the same thing when improvising over jazz chords.

  • Your playing is very smooth. Nice job man.

  • Awesome licks! Would love them slowed down and explained...but they sound great!

  • i like #3

  • i wish you'd slow em down for us....

  • Very effective licks, and the idea of working them out in the 5 scale patterns also has a dicdactical content, good.

  • oh please! he's just making it up as he goes along.....heh heh :oP

  • Hey man you totally don't get the point,do you hear that he's repeating the licks,in every possible position on the guitar you can play Dorian and if you think that he's makin it up while the rythm goes along you totally don't understand the concept and even worse just don't want to think about it,just taking everything for granted with a lazy mind.

  • I do know what hes doing and why and im envious of that level of skill as i started learning last year, my comment was a joke one, improvisation=making it up on the fly, therefore jazz players make it up as they go along, its a joke told me by a bass playing jazz devotee friend of mine who happens to teach other people. Sheeesh!

  • OK man I get the humor in there, I thought it was a serious comment, good that you explained it to me. Good luck with your studies,

    greets.

  • OK now I get the point and ofcourse your humor,it's kinda nice. Man this is so long ago I didn't scarcely remember I commented here, do you always take that long to answer your mail, I might have been dead by now,LOL greetings Victor.

  • u say u lick ur dog ?

  • nice!

  • sos un capo man muchas gracias
