Can someone explain to me about this gentle pursuit in which I have tried recently, the appeal of canal boating? I tried it for the first time last year on the Llangollen Canal which includes the excellent structural masterpiece, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, I have to say that I did not enjoy the experience at all (I loved the Aqueduct don't get me wrong).
What is the appeal of going onto a narrowboat with a sinuous diesel engine going "chug, chug, chug, CHUG!" all the time???? Not elegant.
Both my wife and I enjoy the restfulness of canals Don't have a barge or boat but still feel part of the waterways Birds flowers nature and nice people
I lived on my boat Gypsy in Lowesmore wharf for 5 years and used to paint those viking afloat boats and show holiday makers how to do the first lock so this brought back some great memories. Liked the music with the vid as well, hey aint that a tight turn when you come out of Lowesmore and turn left? your man did well!

I really enjoyed your video. It's my favorite YouTube offering. I was amazed at the width of the boat and snug fit in the locks and the fact that the locks are operated by the boaters.
