@DrIScream i believe it's just China, greece and rome.... a big chunk of japanese history is written in chinese their society and culture is widely based on ancient chinese ones..yes japan is one of the best nation in this modern times but still that's not enough to consider them as one of the great civilization they haven't contributed much to the world until recent times

Why miss it when you can recreate it. As part of the living you can recreate whatever you want in your life. I plan to learn the Dizi instrument from China one day and relive some of the music played during that time myself.

@AllenDGM , its good for u, but something cant be recreated, such as atmosphere of ancient chinese festivals, life, rituals and housing, because it need all chinese ppl to realise and cooperate to recreate it. but it seems it cant be real under modernization and gobalization.
