  • wow ....coolvery different and unique :)

  • Interesting and so different. It's no wonder they cant classify this music. But, I love the video.

  • Blink lead me here. This guy is AMAZING. Just imagine what you could do if you could thin slice music properly...

  • I like listening to this song when im playing bejeweled. hahaha. idk but i can think about other stuff listen and play at the same time, its weird how without thinking i can get a really high bejeweled score. hahaha.

  • Love the song , is she not to young to be keeping house though! I thought you stopped wearing Frilly socks at 9 years old??

  • Hn,mmmmmmmmm????????????

  • OOOOOOHHHH MYYYY FUUCKING GOD, i spent forever looking for this vid, THANK YOU to the link that lead me to this

  • agreed lol!!!

  • Comment removed

  • awesome video

  • In Blink Malcolm Gladwell talks about first impressions. He said people like Fred Durst and Bono had a great reaction to their first impression of Kennas' music and advised that he would be extremely succesful. Then the record companies thought hey we should do some market reseach, people in the market research didn't enjoy it as much because we have to experience his music not sit there in a cubicle and listen to it.

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • i am also reading the book. by the way at first i couldn't stand to listen to the song for some reason, but the second time it was alright. i can see why it would get negative reviews by consumers.

  • video is so fucking good it almost makes me forget about how kickass the song is. almost...

  • kenna is the best at shit he owns

  • I lo ve this freakin song

  • I am listening to Blink and Kenna came up, so I too am here to listen. This music sounds like a mix of the Cure, Oingo Boingo, Yaz, Yello, They might be giants, the Jellyfish and several others ... not bad.

  • Heh. Me too! :)

  • I am here because of the book Blink but most are not saying what is the blink. For me at first the music was missing something but then the more I listen to it I liked it. The blink was the video. Too contrived and takes away from the music.

  • fucking blink, I might just read the book. the video is pretty god damned amazing and blew my mind when I saw it back in 2003 or whenever it came out. it stands as one of my all time favorite music videos. then again Im not some pseudointellectual analyzing every facet of kenna's music and shit because of a book.

  • Logick0, you're right man. You're WAY better than the rest of us silly book readers. You showed us!

  • I am here because of Blink but who likes his music. Most are not saying. So what's the blink. For me the music is missing something. Doesn't take me anywhere but feels like it is trying too hard to do that.

  • Good point.

  • Blink

  • he's so dope. can't wait for songs for flight

  • Blink.

  • Blink...

    Me too!

  • I rember when this song came out,i then bought his cd,and omg,its the shit!! he is super skilled plays all the instruments and tracks them all.

  • Blink

  • First of all, I need to read Blink, Second, Kenna is brilliant. He put out two ridiculous albums in a row and needs some attention. Third, who knew such a story could be told w/o faces?

  • you should download the book it's even better whern the author reads it. Awesome book. I've never heard of him before the book.

  • can anyone explain what the author talks about in blink because i read the wiki on the book and im intrugued, what did he have to say about kenna? because i knew of kenna before i knew of blink im confused now lol, and where can i download the book?

  • Blink also led me here. Not sure about the music but the video is fantastic!

  • Blink, obv. Anyone else thinks he kinda sounds like David Byrne?

  • blink, me too

  • blink led me here to,

  • Blink as well.

  • Blink made me come here too.

Score another one for viral marketing.

  • Blink. Me too.

  • this song came out in '04. I remember it very well and liked kenna. Blink was a whack book but i read it anyways.

  • lol. it seems everyone here came after reading "blink" including me.

  • HAHAHA yea I came here after I read "Blink" too...I'm gonna have to say thought Gladwell mislead me lol

  • I first heard "Vexed and Glorious" on Pandora radio a couple years ago, loved it but forgot about it. I just read "Blink" and I can thank Gladwell for reminding me of Kenna's work... good stuff.

  • funny that same bok got me searching for dude, never heard of him til then

  • it's like the prodigal son, but the feet do the talking..

    thanks blink.

  • what is this book "blink" everybody's talking about?

  • Should read it.

I came here after I read Blink too.

    haha.

XVX for life, R.A.S.H. 'til death.

  • It's a book about peoples ability to make instant and accurate judgements about something instinctively and unconsciously, and the merits and pitfalls of using snap decisions. Kenna is used as an example for the book

  • theoriginal -- Blink is a book about the power of unconscious thinking, and in it Kenna is mentioned. it's by Malcolm Gladwell, if you want to check it out.

  • ok...I think all of us are here b/c we read about this in the book "blink." but the music IS really good! I can't believe people didn't want to hear this on the radio. this blows all those stupid britney spears songs to pieces.

  • never heard of band till "blink". Sounds like music from a different country, can't get used to it...yet.

  • i read blink and dont get the whole "doesn't fit into a genre thing" its new wave electronica ... and maybe he has some other more alt rock songs...not hard or complicated

  • Kenna was just ahead of his time. His music style sounds much more familiar now, but thats only b/c America's pop music tastes have changed. As the book states, Kenna was coming out with this kind of music back when everyone was hooked on Limp Bizkit.

  • I highly agree.

  • same here im here because of the blink book. The music on stunpals(dotcom) is better. There are songs about THE GAME on there.

  • I came to know about kenna through BLINK. His music is unique, beautiful and quite different, doesn;t fit into a genre. He is deserves 100 times more airtime than Britney Spears and the likes.

  • hey the video is very creative....and cool.

don't want to be on the shoes of that dood though...

  • Thats Pharrell's people hell yeah good music...but not that many people know about Keena so sad cause the music is hella hawt!!!!

  • haha, Blink too, not bad =)

  • I've heard this song numerous times and never realized the dude's name. Reading Blink and came across it..finally figured it out.

  • This guy aint bad, and I too am here because of blink, like I've heard this guy before but I never knew who it was, This music really aint my cup of tea but it really aint bad

  • weird, after i read blink I listened to this and it sounded terrible then i listened to I wanna be sedated and the Joshua tree and now it doesn't sound half bad.

  • It stuck me like a flash of intuition, this renewed interest in Kenna could increase book sales of Blink.

  • why would it do that? what does blink have to do with Kenna? Coincidentally, I just noticed that book in the library earlier today.

  • One of the chapters is about kenna

  • Blink got me interested too.

I do like the sound...some of it anyway. The voice seems familiar, in a David Bowie kind of way.

  • Just reading Blink, the book and just wanted to see Kenna for myself... obviously I am not the only one... ;)

  • blink may resurrect this guy's career... great book, mediocore song

  • Blink for me too.....

  • Wow.. I have been looking for this song for long time..

  • lol just read page 150 in blink

  • Blink is a book by Malcolm Gladwell. It's pretty good stuff. I'm in the process of reading it now. There's a whole bit about Kenna in it. That's why I'm watching this. I'm kinda diggin on this.

  • Well I'm here after the PSP commercial and I don't see myself leaving

  • What is Blink? I wanna know too! Is it a book? How is Kenna related to it?!

This is such a good song btw!

  • Im here because of.....THE NEPTUNES!

  • I"m here after Blink as well. Regardless, this is a great song and video concept.

  • we all need some freetime, kenna

  • blink directed too.

  • lool same here ....blink

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

haha yeah I'm here because of blink aswell, still reading it =)

  • Haha, I guess Kenna can thank Gladwell for the extra publicity! I'm here after reading Blink, as well.

I absolutely love Blink (and yes, I looked at the Aeron chair. Now I want one), and am glad to see so many of you enjoyed it!

P.S. Anyone else looked up FACS? I tried moving some of those facial muscles, and just laughed at my expressions.

  • i read that book too, i liked the predictions about couples the best.

  • haha, I just got done reading Blink and had to check this guy out. I think his music is pretty cool. I haven't looked at that chair yet, but I'm going to for sure. Blink is such an awesome book. =D

  • I lol'd at the comments, I'm also here after reading about blink, like the book though I would probably only rate the song as average

  • I've heard this on 2 movies I think. Good song I must say.

  • it's pretty gay how every music video is disabled to embed

  • This is COOL. Creazy idea =)

  • I'm joining the masses. I too am here because of Malcolm Gladwell's Blink. Also, I checked out the Aeron chair too.

  • Good book, but I was here the second I herd hell bent, by far one of the greatest song I have ever heard.

  • I am also here because of Gladwell's Blink. Very good book, indeed.

  • same

  • lol, me too

  • crazy. I hate to say it too, but Im here because of Blink. You guys may want to check Soulseek, free music sharing program. Got a lot of his stuff with anything else you want. Just d/l his album. Thievery!!!

  • I like it, creative vid :)

  • here because of blink also :))

  • I read blink too but now i really like kennas work!

  • Wow, everyone here is because of Blink. I had to read it for my Tech Writing class. I also looked up the Aeron chair.

  • i'm here cos of BLINK too!lol!

  • yeah thats why im here too hahaha

and we allowed to be listening to kenna for whatever frikin reason we want rockdiga

so what if we hear it from a book

  • Wtfk is a gladwell you should be listening to this because of Chad hugo Pharell williams and Fe reaking nominal Kenna who is totally amazing. not this gladwell nonsense..shit atleast say PSP commercial haha

  • whats gladwell? SOMEBODY FILL ME IN!

  • Malcom Gladwell wrote a book called Blink that has a chapter talking about how a large number of music aficionados and artists really enjoy Kenna, but average listeners do not. Kenna's sounding pretty good to me at the moment, but I may just be unconsciously desiring to enjoy the music as to group myself with music buffs who like him.

  • heh that book's how I ended up here. I'm reading it right now and wanted to hear what his music sounded like.

  • Same! Gladwell described his music as extremely likeable by music industry professionals, so here I am as well:)

  • Wow! Me too! I wonder how good Kenna is doing since Gladwell's book came out!

  • I loved Gladwell's book. Had to see what he was talking about with this Kenna fella.

  • I'm here because of the Gladwell book too, but I actually like it. I think they (the experts) were right about Kenna, but that chapter was by far the least engaging thus far. Anyone here taking Professor Merrill?

  • Also here cos of blink (gladwell)

  • hahahaha, because of Gladwell. me too :-)

  • I'm here because of Gladwell's bullshit book too.

  • lol

    same

  • very good song and video

  • I heared this song on OTH,i love this

  • THIS SONG IS WONDERFUL REALLY COOL

  • omg i miss this band i havent lisent to them sence i was about seven i think im fucking 15 now where the time go when there was great music like this?

  • gotta love red converse

  • great song... heh, i forgot about how this video went, hadn't seen it in about 5 years!!!

  • this is how videos are supposed to be!

    not naked women dancing,

actualy videos with thought and meaning and relevance to the actual song

i have so much admiration for kenna

    brilliant!

  • Kenna has is finally starting to come into his own. He is a HUGE success over in Europe. It's just taken longer for him to catch on here in the states. It's a tough crowd here. I personally know Kenna, as I'm from the same area, and he is an awesome person! One of the most down to earth people I know. I can't help but be excited for him! Be on the look out! He's going to change the face of music....

  • I absolutely love Kenna, hes my favorite artist out there currently, well actually him and Chad are. I had no idea he was a huge success in Europe, thats good to know, I'm just hoping he begins to catch on here, I'm sure he will good music can only be overlooked for so long.

  • looked this artist up because of the Book Blink as well...it seems this artist Kenna might make a comeback just because of Malcolm Gladwell's book! LOL

  • I was just reading about this today (Blink by Gladwell). I like the music it's very refreshing. Why he's not a total hit well maybe he just didn't come out at the right time.

  • me too. its my summer reading

i totally get how he can't really fit in any genre

    should make his own

  • great song AND reaaally good video

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!

  • i don't really the song, but the video had a very cute ending

  • Absolutely awesome! I think I might be a new fan

  • I love how much we learn about each character simply from their feet. xD That was amazing.

  • I saw and met Kenna on 5 different concerts when he opened up for Dave Gahan on the Paper Monsters tour in 2003. Excellent to see that he is carrying on his talented musical career.

  • sweet ending

  • The most entertaining video I have seen in a long time. Good Job.

  • Big ups KENNA...amazing music and video ETHIOPIA STAND UP!!!!

  • Flawless

  • i just watched this 7 times straight.

  • That's the best comment ever.

But I love this song !

  • Haha, me too. I used to watch this video when they had subterranean on every night.

  • Is the Kenna Sysmbol On His Converse Chucks???I'd Buy Those!!!(Wink Wink Kenna!)

  • You know it's so sad that REAL artist like Kenna get the credit they really deserve while the mother cunts like 50 cent and um get away with murder but every dog has i's day love his music keep doing u nigga hope it don't get to his head

  • i love this video and Kenna are great.

I just hope MTV doesnt destroy their image by exploiting them like they do to any band worth listening to.

"MTV makes me wanna smoke crack"

    - Beck

  • they did this song was on it like 4 years ago hella! i loathe MTV

  • youre exactly right. if Kenna blows up it may get to his head. as a result his music may detoriate.

  • you guys can't be serious. this song is off his 2003 album. and trust me, his 2007 album hasn't deteriorated.

  • -IF-

  • lol kenna is one person...............

  • YES...

  • this was soo good, great concept

  • Can someone explain this video...please?

  • it's a story told my the perspective of people's feet. guy breaks up with his girlfriend, goes on a spree of angry, rebellious theft and debauchery, but it comes back to bite him in the ass. so he goes back to his girlfriend, who takes him back with open arms, but as her slippers at the end indicate, she's had her own bit of fun while he was gone.

  • Thanks...I never got if they were just arguing, and he cheats on her...or what you said.

  • The guy kicked the books at the beginning, and the man was canoodling with the woman in the bathroom, before finding out she had a boyfriend. You can't miss that.

  • i love it.

  • This guy is way too dope.. I never finished reading Blink tho.. it kinda bored me compared to tipping point

  • i love the video idea

  • wonderful music!!!!

  • KENNA is the greatest thing to happen to music in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always here this instrumental on mtv i wonder why they never played his music video?

  • They did and they showed it quite a bit. However they would show it on the late night or early morning video shows. Much like they did with the Gorillaz "Clint Eastwood" video

  • Fly-ass video =0)! Kenna is the shit...

  • aw thats so cute

  • This songs cool :)

I learned about Kenna from Live Earth

I heard their song 'Out of Control' before, but didn't know who the artist was. I hope they don't get more popular so I can have a good band that doesn't hit it big like all these other guys are.

  • wow! more blink readers (a phenominal book). This song is great!

  • Wow, I also came because I read Blink, and I'm glad I did. Kenna is definitely one of the best artists I've heard in a while. I sure hope he makes it big, the music industry is so flooded with trashy music right now, it would be quite refreshing to have a really good artist be successful.

  • Yea, I found out about Kenna from Blink too. I couldn't believe that the music industry didn't appreciate him.

  • i found him through warners youtube acc. i hope he makes it big too. he is to good not to.
