  • Funny, I've had 4 different brand bikes in my time and my custom 02 vrod still gets multiple "your bike is bad ass" comments every time I ride it. I MUST have the ugliest bike on the market.

  • Vrod is the ugliest bike on the market. They look even goofier when someone is on it

  • Wanna B... my DX rules.

  • life in the wind ... motorcycle cars men in the wind ..

  • i love how they say how much better the hammer is than the harley yet they never show them race or anything

  • @DogWatchDave Which Harley did you own and which Victory did you buy?

  • Victory and HD are both USA bikes. No, not all of the parts on either bike are all made in the USA. Harley's are not any more overweight than a comparable bike from another manufacture. The VRod engine was designed by Porsche, so what. Is an HD v-tween as powerful as a water cooled four cylinder metric bike? No, it is a two cylinder air cooled engine. Doe Harley no hold its value, look at the blue book. If you have to almost give one away, there was a reason. Don't like cruisers, don't buy one.

  • @mikedsokc last i checked the v-rod is liquid cooled.

  • looks like a shitty jap bike.....HD muscle owns hammer...just look at Ebay and Victory resale price....horrid....Even Jap bikes have a higher resale value. Oh yeah 1980 called and wants its paint jobs back.

  • @socalpimp1974 .......1950 called and wants their whole bike back hahaha..... well see who is making bike in 20 years HD or Victory

  • 2010 victory hammer : 97 horse power. v rod = 123hp with a smaller motor. and the hammer cost $18,499 the cheaper 8 ball model they show for low price also has less hp at a whopping 85! no thanks. ill stick to whats good. thats what you get for trying to compete with h-d why not pick on the jap cruisers? i think you will have a better fight there. it looks like a kawi anyway

  • how much does that orange version cost?

  • what is the horsepower?

  • I like the v-rode for its style. It as a way of life. Yeah, the hammer has more power but I already have a 600 super-bike so I won't be getting the v-rod to outperform, but instead to ride.

  • Why does every motorcycle company try to compair them selfs to a Harley. Try to stand on your own product like Harley does. I drive a V-Rod 2012 I think it would do just fine against any Victory in either the 1/4 or flat out. If your Victory breaks down good luck find a dealer. Cant say that about Harley, they have dealers all over the country.

  • @enaznhoj WHY???, because people are uneducated and dont know that there is a superior American made motorcycle out there. So a comparison to the common named product is done so folks know their options. As far as dealerships, you are 100% correct about the numbers out there. The reality is those dealers are placed stratically accross the country based on the lenght rode and breakdown ratio. Usually about every 45 miles. Owner of 2 Vics, 64000 and 45000 miles, 0 days in shop

  • I can say that a stock victory hammer doesn't beat anything except maybe some old hard tails for comfort. Maybe the most uncomfortable motorcycle seat ever made

  • the only time a harley can beat any other motorcycle (of the same engine size) is when the other rider is 500lbs and slightly retarded. Live to pose, Pose to live.---Harley davidson

  • @poserproductions1 the v-rod motor is much smaller than this victory bike and sorry but it is faster. check 1/4 mile times chief.

  • Funny how they never actually run them. My v has 120 to the rear and will smoke that victory all day. The 106 has more torque just like every other hd bike. The v still blows them away.

  • @Vanessamommyto3 no it doesnt you retard go look up any drag race between them. harleys ARE FOR POSERS. you think your cool? you ride on flat pavement. look at my videos if you want to see real riding. MOTOCROSS FTW. i could outride you anywhere.

  • Yeah and for $1k or 2k they shy of the Harley they could get better fit and finish! If I were to buy a muscle cruiser right now id say thunderbird storm flat black from what I see the got plenty of performance and fit and finish and one unique machine. I think Victory makes good looking bike but they all look too much alike.

  • Just want clarification, the 2010 Hammer S does *not* have the new 100K transmission?

  • I have ridden both bikes.

My money goes to Victory hands down.

Does Harley offer a 100.000 mile trans warranty?

  • Since the 106 Engine is stanadard across the whole Victory range, I gues you could get the same performance with the Vegas 8-Ball. And for fewer bucks too.

  • @jsiuksta I own 1 of the 100 2010 Vegas Le bikes and I've ridden the 2011 Vegas 8ball, and 2011 Hammer. Also the 2012 Kingpin, and the 2012 Highball. None of them will touch my LE for raw power. My motor sounds a lot more high strung with the stage 2 cams and is hands down quicker. Love the Victory bikes...

  • no way.. i spank hammers all day with my vrod muscle.

  • @jasonschwarting ...Lol , had a v-rod try to fly by me the other day with a running start. As he went by I drop down 1 gear and was next to him in no time .... with my 92cu Kingpin!

  • This is crap..... My vrod will smoke just about everything on the road..... 0 to 60 in 3.3 and I am a 300lb man.

  • @138hpvrod haha dream on fatty :D

  • The V-rod is technichally not even a Harley Motor. It's a Porcshe Motor. It's IMPORTED Damn it! You call THAT American-made muscle?! PLEASE!

  • @TheMKEWERBY It's not made by Porsche. HD collaborated with Porsche on the design and it is made by HD.

  • I just find it amusing that when Victory came out they said they were NOT trying too go head to head with HD. BUT were another american made alternative. LOOOOKS to me someone changed there mind. Perhaps its the HUGE market share that Harley dominates!?

  • BUY AMERICAN! This bike is smooth, fast and performs great! I just test drove 7 of the Victory motos at Miller Motor Sports Park Track in Utah! HD is great and so is Victory at a much better value.

  • Basically this ad was made by Victory to boost sales against the V-Rod. Didnt see any side by side runs against the V-Rod, they are scared people will sniff out the BS they are slinging!!!

"106 cubic inch engine delivers 35% more torque than the V-Rod" Well I should hope so since the V-Rod engine is only 76 cubic inches.

  • @DrBeastage... Why the comparison? Victory use to never mention Harley in their marketing media. I think that hurt sales and image. The Victorys are now a proven design and Polaris is confident. Go get 'em! Harley needs a good kick in the pants.

Of course, I find the video lacking. They should have actually drag raced the VRod instead of just talking about it.

  • ....And has the lean angle of a Suzuki GN250...

I don't get it, what's the point of this bike if it can't lean?

Sure, it looks nice, has a nice engine, but look what Ducati does:

Diavle, and Moto Guzzi with their Bellagio. A sport cruzer that can take corners.

  • @8m293 and needs to get serviced every other week.

  • @916chidori False

  • Bike is amazing but wtf?! why the comparisons to Harley?! focus on your product and don't mention the competition , behavior like that only damages your own credibility

  • Hammer 8 ball is abot $2000 less than the night rod. With the savings I think you could put some go fast goodies on the victory to be right there with the vrod...the victory has more torque than the vrod so it will not need 120 HP to excellerate with the vrod. You would only need about 16 more HP.

  • this is a bad comparison, the vic is an air cooled engine and the v rod is liquid cooled

  • First time I seen one, a guy pulled up next to me at a red light. It was the blue shelby color with white stripes. Friggn blew me away. Coolest bike I seen on the road. Dude was riding no shirt, bald ass head, no helmet and tattooed head to toe with a Rambo knife on the side of his shorts. A sight to see.

  • Fishmac, this is a stock hammer. The VRod doesn't kick in until higher RPM's. Maybe a race then, stock vs stock. I have a Jackpot that will leave that Night Rod of yours wondering what happened... My buddy has one, I've done it.....Neither stock. Anyway, ride safe everyone!

  • What are you comparing? The Hammer looks like a good bike - I've never ridden one. I'm not going to dog the Hammer because I've never ridden one but "bolder" accelleration? Sure ... what does "bolder" mean? The VRod beats you by 25+HP and $3500+ MSRP (when have you ever heard that about a Harley?). Present the facts correctly. Again, nice bike - but nice try. I'd hammer your Hammer with my Night Rod Special. Nice try ...

  • Very nice bike. I agree that Harley is not "THE BEST" in all bike scenarios but Harley is the ONLY company that has a feature that no one else has or will ever have; the name Harley and what the represents. People buy the image, they just happen to get a bike with it.

  • motorcycle porn. I want a Victory.

  • the v-rod muscle will so spank this bike and so will many others in the same class and price range. and the said this bike made the same percentage numbers over the rocker c in the vid i just watched. i dont think these figures are accurate at all

  • Comment removed

  • Being a Vctory fan,I am sorry to disagree. Those are two very different bikes. It is fine to compare with 1600 V twin harleys;but a V-Rod is something else.It has higher standarts than Victory.

  • V-Rod is the the only stock Harley that makes more power than any Victory. All other stock Harleys fall short in the power department.

  • I really like Victory and normally I like them over Harley's, but this comparo is so misleading. The Revolution engine in the V-Rod is the best engine Harley makes and delivers 120 horsepower, which is much more than the Freedom 106. On the drag strip, the V-Rod will beat the Hammer every time. The V-Rod is simply a faster machine.

  • @UltraSWG the victory looks a little bit like the star raider from yamaha the raider got a bigger engine 113 cubic inch than the victory 106 but both are awesome bikes

  • fail 120 horse v-rod vrs 94 horse victory
